"Hmmm...Dangerous work then. You have my prayers."
Jotting quickly.
"This is us here. This is the tower. Graveyard's here, northeast of town."
He gives Castien a look.
"If you're wanting the chapel in Northorpe, you'll need to take this road due north. It's about a hour's ride. If you want the chapel here in town, I recommend against it. The priest there won't much like the look of you, if you catch my meaning.'
Castien mounts his steed and rides off towards Northorpe Chapel and Brother Benjamin, growing into a full sped gallop because he’s trying to beat the sun and time is of the essence
The "road" to Northorpe is little more that a well worn cart path, but the way is clear and the journey uneventful.
Northorpe turns out to be a small farming community made mostly of wood and thatch. There are only two stone buildings. One is obviously the blacksmith. The other is most likely the chapel.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Castien rides into the village, transferring from a gallop to a canter and finally a trot as he neared the sacred grounds of the chapel and swiftly dismounts, he’s glad there is a blacksmith but pauses when he remembers he forgot to ask for quests and mentally kicks himself for forgetting something
Sighing heavily to himself, he dismissed these thoughts and headed for the doors, swinging both open he entered
The simple, utilitarian style of the chapel mirrors the modest means of the community and implies a dual purpose as a fortress. The few windows are open, glassless slits high in the walls. Alcoves in the east and west walls contain simple wood carved statues of the major deities. An alter at the north wall is little more than a wooden table covered in a simple cloth. The room is lit with a few candles, leaving much of the space in shadow. Rows of rough wooden benches provide a place for the faithful to sit.
A priest standing near the alter jumps in fright when Castien swings the double doors on the southern wall open.
As Castien gets a better look at the priest, he suddenly realizes that his robes seem much too loose and baggy. Almost as if they were made for a much larger man...
The priest gives Castien a gutteral snarl, pulls a second holy symbol out from under his robes, and begins to chant an incantation.
(Need Castien to make a Wisdom saving throw. On his character sheet there's a list of his saving throw bonuses. Roll 1D20 and add it. He needs to get 11 or higher to avoid the spell's effect)
Realizing that his spell has failed, the priest attempts to dash past Castien and out of the chapel.
(For his second action, the priest uses DASH. This allows him to take double his normal movement. Unfortunately, his only path out is past Castien. Castien can take an Attack of Opportunity, basically a free attack action, against the Priest as her runs past.)

Castien swung his longsword up to his shoulder and then took a step forward in a swinging motion as the priest neared him, attempting to cut his head off and end this fight quickly

“ Thank you for the fair warning. “
Castien finished his strew alongside his ale and got up
” Please save my room, I’ll hopefully be returning here by sunlight, until then adieu “
with that he tipped the brim of his hat and headed for the door, going around outback for the stables

“ Ah good, you’re in “
Castien mused as he took his hat off out of respect and holds it up against his chest
” It would’ve been a wasted journey otherwise “
He closes the doors behind him and slowly walks towards the priest to not spook him too much, noticing that he’s intimidated by his arrival
“ I was sent by the Church of Ezra, father “

"Ah, yes... The Church of Ezra. I suppose I've been expecting you."
“ You wrote us a letter requesting aid, did you not? “
Castien reminded, he came closer but soon stopped halfway from the door and halfway towards Brother Benjamin
“ I understand that you’ve been having trouble with the Cult of Zura and suspect that the citizens of Northrope maybe in league with the cult. “
He was being cautious, there was every possibility the cult could’ve gotten to the priest, but he wouldn’t assume too much without evidence

At realisation that those clothes were too big for the priest
” … Is what I would say if you were Brother Benjamin “
He took a step forward

Knowing he's been found out, the priest's eyes flash dangerously and his hand flies to the dagger on his belt.

“ Well this is a good first impression “
Castien takes out his longsword and wields it with two hands, holding his ground in a defensive position
“ Now I’m going to ask you one question and it’s your choice how you want this to play out… “
He growled lowly, baring his fangs and sounding animalistic
“ Is Brother Benjamin alive? “
