Virro is still sitting astride Bella and he sees all of this transpire, his face goes blank for a second and then a frown and anger rolls forth. “Hell no.” He pulls up the shield in question and points to an area behind the 3 men that emerged from the wagon and launches a fireball behind them, hopefully burning them down. After this, he wheels his horse around and retreats to the area near Corlith, approximately 10-15 feet to the east of him. (Assuming 60 feet of movement on the horse.)
Action : Fireball on the 3 wagon riders - for 27 points of fire damage each, DC 21 Dex save to cut this in half.
Movement : Riding the horse to the area above.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Reed watches as the farmer turns into a devil of some sort.
"Didn't see that coming, mum," Reed says to himself.
He was more curious about what was in the hay, and finds himself a little disappointed that it turns out to just be three devil-friend thugs of some sort.
"Oh, that's disappointing."
He finds himself enjoying the show of Roo's power immensely, to the point he almost forgets that they're involved in another fight. This would be a great stage show, he thinks to himself. He even claps when Archie sets the wagon on fire.
Reed's snapped out of his reverie by the sound of Corlith's voice ringing in his ears. Reed's focus whips round to Thug B. With laser clarity he sees the man standing out from background. But before he can finish pulling his bow from his shoulder and nocking an arrow, a ball of fire explodes behind the three.
Once he blinks his eyes a couple of times, he lets an arrow fly at Thug B, still certainty he can't miss him.
Even as that arrow races to its target, he looks up into the sky to see where the devil has gotten to.
"I guess we should deal with that one too," Reed says.
He calms himself and finds a quiet space where he can go completely still on the back of the pony.
The moment he finds that spot, he lets another arrow fly; this time at the devil.
Reaction - Short bow (w/advantage) against Thug B - (17,10 + 7) = 24 to hit for (5+5+2+3 incl Sneak Attack) = 15 piercing damage
Bonus Action - Steady Aim - Gives Advantage
Action - Short bow (w/ advantage) against Flying Devil Guy - (11,11 + 7) = 18 to hit (for 1+5+5+4) = 15 piercing damage
He hears all the voices of the ghosts clambering around now in the fight but he keeps them in check for now.
Bandit B watches helplessly as Reed's arrow goes straight into his chest. Without another word, he crumples to the ground.
The devil in the sky moves at the very last moment to avoid the arrow that has his name on it and he smiles down at the group, flapping his enormous wings.
Bandit C runs around his friends and sets his eyes upon Reya. His first attack completely whiffs, but his second finds purchase along her collarbone, 9 damage. He then tries with his shortsword, but misses with his as well. Turning to his friend A, now that B is dead, "Well? You going to hit anyone?"
"Reya!" Roo says, alarmed that their young friend is surrounded and he's so far away. He jumps from the wagon, moving as quick as he can back to the battlefield on his short chicken legs. Once he realizes he's not going to get close enough to his flying foe, his feathers bristle, his back arches, and suddenly he shouts "BAGOP!" at the top of his lungs...and a swirl of purple energy screams out of his beak toward Farmer John.
"Hey you cluck ugly red cluck!" Roo shouts after that, his feather's bristled and puffed out in all directions as he points the Owl's Talon at the fiend. "What are you doing up there flying around like some coward! I've killed a lot of fiends lately and none of them flew up in the air to get away from a chicken! Come down here and face me, unless you think you're too weak to beat me! Coward!"
Turn Summary
Move: 25 feet back toward Reya
Action- Eldritch Blast: 24 to hit, 6 damage
Bonus Action- Cast Compelled Duel: DC 14 Wisdom Save vs-
You attempt to compel a creature into a duel. One creature that you can see within range must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is drawn to you, compelled by your divine demand. For the duration, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you, and must make a Wisdom saving throw each time it attempts to move to a space that is more than 30 feet away from you; if it succeeds on this saving throw, this spell doesn’t restrict the target’s movement for that turn.
The spell ends if you attack any other creature, if you cast a spell that targets a hostile creature other than the target, if a creature friendly to you damages the target or casts a harmful spell on it, or if you end your turn more than 30 feet away from the target.
Archie is happy with her lighting of the hay pile and the subsequent chaos that inside directly afterward. She watches as the horned 'farmer' attempts to fly away and as he sets off she summons another warbling mass of flame, but this time she tales her other hand and squashes it, condensing it until it is no longer a flame but three intense balls of inferno, they turn into spinning motes of light and all of a sudden she releases them and sends her magic missiles flying off after the 'farmer'.
Each note streaks across the sky and slam into the dude, one, two, three, causing a whole 10 force damage
Having frozen the two bandits in place, Corlith is forced to double down as they both look to get free of the hold he has on them. He reaches out to distract the second one, sending a mote of good fortune to Reed.
"Shoot that one, Reed. Whilst it is frozen", he calls to Reed, pointing to the second bandit.
Reaction (from earlier): Cast Silvery Barbs on bandit B, sends advantage to Reed and uses Voice of Authority to allow him to attack
(OOC: All this has already happened)
Current Round
Seeing the winged devil creature move away, Corlith shakes his head. "Normally when someone says they'll show you like that, they mean to teach you a lesson, not literally show you".
He manoeuvres his horse back to the north as it flies above him, and positions himself between the creature and Roo. "Not so fast", he says and points to it, trying to bring it back to where Roo is waiting.
Movement: 25 feet to the north, so his is between the Cambian and Roo (approx 60 feet from each) Action: Cast Vortex Warp on winged devil creature - DC 16 Con Save or be teleported next to Roo Reaction: If the winged creature succeeds the save, Corlith will use his reaction to cast Silvery Barbs on it to make it retry - he again gives Reed advantage and uses Voice of Authority to allow him a reaction attack.
Reed hears that weird Corlith voice again and wonders if one of the spirits is doing impersonations now but at the same time he gets a sense of enhanced clarity.
The flying farmer devil is too far away for him to take full advantage but at the same time, what would other wise have been a long shot feels much closer.
He lets another arrow fly off after the retreating devil.
Reaction (disadvantage for distance negated by advantage from Silvery Barbs) - Shortbow - (18+7) = 25 to hit for (5+5) = 10 piercing damage.
"HEE-HAW!" A rider on a donkey is traveling towards the group from Baldur's Gate at a good clip (for a donkey).
You see the rider lift a long bow up and loose an arrow towards the devil creature. The strikes solidly onto the wing of the creature, causing it to spin in the air and plummet to the ground. The rider puts the bow away and continues moving towards the group, taking out glaive as he rides. "Come on, Bartholomew, you can do it!" "HEE-HAW!"
Action: Longbow Trip Attack - Nat 20 - 16 Piercing Damage - DC14 Str Save (Failed) Movement: Moving towards the group. Location: 160' north of the group, 40" north of where the devil landed.
The flying fiend falls from the trip maneuver and lands prone, glaring at the newcomer, his plan thwarted for now...
Fisk runs towards Bandit A, missing both attempts to skewer the man with his dagger, then disengages again - going back to his original spot.
Bandit A scoffs at the tiefling with the little itty bitty dagger that can't hit a fly and turns his attention back to Reya. With precision like that of a trained marksman, each of his three attacks find purchase on the poor girl. (20 damage total)
Bleeding pretty badly now, the teenager retaliates, her anger overclouding her better judgement. Being hurt does not help as she only connects with the second of her three swings, delivering 10 slashing damage to bandit A.
Virro continues toward the downed Cambion, spurring his horse forward. Holding the shield upright, he points at the ground underneath the Faux Farmer and launches a second fireball, this time at the fiend. “My, you have nice fingers, Mr. Farmer..”
Movement : Rides 60 feet north toward the Cambion
Action : Fireball on Kaddrus for 26points of fire damage, DC 21 Dex save to cut this in half.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the fireball ignites under Kaddrus, he attempts to writhe away, but he fails and even though he is resistant to the flames, they engulf him all the same. Kaddrus is dead.
Reed's arrow goes wide of Bandit A and his cacophony of spirits continue to hang around the halfling unsure of where to go now.
Bandit C sees that his boss has been burnt to a crisp and turns west, dashing away from the fight. Reya tries to slash his legs as he runs but misses badly.
Archie gets angry seeing the bandit slice into Rey's, Archie suddenly becomes very protective. She moves southwest around reya and gets as in-between the two as she can, flanking with roo on the east side of the hostile, Archie cracks her knuckles sending lighting up her arm and swings with both fists. (13 both swings) missing both times and screaming at the dude in frustration, "don't touch her, you bastard!"
Corlith watches as Wilfred appears like a knight in shining armour riding his glorious stallion to bring down the winged creature with a single shot of his bow. He smiles a little at the comparison as Wilfred comes closer and his donkey lets out the loud hee-haw noises. No wait, was that Wilfred making donkey noises?!
As he contemplates, a fireball streaks passed him and ends the life of the winged creature, and so turns back to the men who jumped out of the hay. Seeing one trying to run away, he moves his horse closer to them and calls over to Roo.
"Why be there, when you can go get the other one, Roo. Trust me! And make sure to hit him when you get there!", he calls out and then once again reaches out with his magic and this time tries to relocate Roo in front of the escaping man.
Movement: 40 feet south - horse movement Action: Cast Vortex Warp on Roo to place him 5 feet west of bandit c and blocking his path, and use Voice of Authority to allow him a reaction attack (DC 16 Con Save if he resists the teleport)
Wilfred, glaive in hand, charges towards the downed creature. However, a large ball of flame comes out and incinerates it!
"HEE-HAW! HEE-HAW!"
Wilfred grabs the reins and calms the startled Donkey down "Whoa there, Bartholomew, it's fine. There we go. Yea, they're a dramatic bunch, but they are friendly. Now lets head towards them weird folk up there. Alright? Good!" Wilfred coaxes the donkey into an awkward looking canter, closing the distance with the group.
Roo is suddenly warped through the air, crowing as he disappears from one position and pops up blocking the fleeing bandit. Disoriented from stepping out of the nether to attack this guy, he completely whiffs his sword swing...
Just as Bandit B thinks he can move again, something strange happens that he doesn't understand and he is paralyzed.
”Oh right. You two still need killing.”
Reed whistles softly to himself as he draws another arrow, going incredibly calm and still. Then he lets it fly at Bandit A.
