Virro takes out a ration and gives it to Archie, saying “Easy, easy does it. You must be exhausted. I tried. I couldn’t do it Archie. There is a spot above your head to attach a power source, but I couldn’t separate the two of you, without .. dire … consequences.” He stops, holding his head, considering… “Soon I may be able to learn how to handle even that… but I can’t currently. We are trying to make a plan. Slowly, slowly. Take a bite, don’t get choked, chew slowly…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Corlith waits for Virro to finish, then adds, "We are at Candlekeep. It's been a few days. Teles Avoste here is an artificer and A'lai I think a cleric. They are trying to help you, and Ironmaiden is co-operating fully. Like Virro says, it just takes time. Once you are feeling well enough, if you could help A'lai try and scry on Master Thell by giving her a good description or show an image, that would be helpful. Finding her might be our best chance".
He looks around the remaining members of the group, "And then we need to go and see someone called Fembris Larlancer about an undead eyeball. Something to do with an arcane sphere that can help power Ironmaiden".
Reya breaks into a big grin seeing Archie come back to them. But as she mentions her nightmare, she asks, "Something bad happened? What?"
"Ah yes, introductions." A'lai takes hold of her robes with one hand, sweeps them out in a grand gesture as she bows to the group, "I am A'lai Aivenmore, Life Cleric to Selûne at your service." She looks to Archie, "At least to the best of my abilities. Yes, please describe this Master Thell and we will scry."
Archie accepts the food and wonders how she would possibly eat quickly in this suit, but as she has done before she opens the visor and tosses the ration in. She sits and listens to the information taking it all in as she eats.
She choked both in surprise and likely eating too fast as vireo had warned, "wait what, candlekeep already, I've been out a few DAYS!?... Tele Ahvoste, you don't mean THE Tele Ahvoste?" She looks over to the old artificer, and surprisingly bows low, "Master Ahvoste it is an honour, you trained Master Thell in everything she knows! Led her thirst for knowledge and helped her achieve a position where she could do the same for me, if it hadn't been for you sir I... Well I'd likely be a farmhand by now. Miss Aivenmore it is an honour to meet you too though I'm sorry I don't know of your work, though I have read a little up on Selûne in my book of god's.
I am Archaea Ardour, though Archie is just fine" she beams at them both.
As Reya expresses concern Archie stands and goes to give her a hug, "I'm glad your ok, I uhh, I dreamt that you were charmed or possessed or something, your will wasn't your own and you were going to be forced to into killing people that you didn't want to, you were suffering. But it hadn't happened, instead It was like a massive weight of anxiety and fear. But you're ok, I'm glad, it was just a nightmare...".
Getting a handle on the situation Archie gets herself back to the table and grabs a piece of paper to write on, she begins writing down some mathematical equations and ushering Master Ahvoste over to look at what she is writing whilst she explains out loud to the others her thoughts, "ok so we have the possibility of an arcane sphere to what? Replace me as the power source, right? Do we have a timeline of how much that would help, I can't quantify the rate at which the IronMaiden is absorbing my arcane essence, mainly because it's difficult to quantify such a thing in a humanoid to begin with, but the thing I'm worried about is if the way in which the arcanum is draining is like a trap, and instead of switching out one source of power for another we simply boost the rate at which absorption takes place, think of it like a vampiric touch spell, you know that one right Virro? If it's draining my essence then an additional power source connected directly to the ironmaiden could inadvertently act as a supercharger, like putting more levels of arcane power into the metaphorical vampiric touch. Though the only way to figure that out really would be to try it and have someone clerical" she nods to A'lai "measure my medicinal vitals as the power source is connected... You said the IronMaiden has been cooperative this far, did they say anything pertinent to the arcane sphere idea?"
Along side the equations and the hypothetical that Archie draws out for Master Ahvoste, she also writes down a detailed description of Master Thell along with mannerisms and applicable behaviours of dress etc for A'lai. "Here, you can scry on Master Thell and hopefully figure out her location, she'll likely have some insight into her own creation. Is there any way we could get an arcane message to her?"
Corlith listens getting more and more confused by all the technical jargon.
"It sounds like you have all got this covered. Maybe I will grab the others and go find this Fembris Larlancer. Assuming they are a resident of Candlekeep?", he says to A'lai.
Roo listens, and waits...and grows quite bored. He has little to give in this situation, with his knowledge of the arcane being those blessings bestowed up him by Gallus and Stryx. He listens...and then...has a thought.
He summons the Owl's Talon into his hand as this Cleric of False Gods burbles her crap about who she is, and he turns the shadowy hooked sword about in his hands. He studies it, pondering, his head jerking from side to side as some thought rolls around in his head. Finally he reaches up with his empty hand and pushes the barbed-devil's beard out of his eyes.
"I wonder...buck..." He says, thinking out loud now. "...if there is a way...to pull Archie out of the Ironmaiden...and put in something blessed by Gallus. Not that Gallus could be absorbed or mastered by the armor, but just so the armor could power itself by the ceaseless arcane energy of Gallus himself."
Reya pats Archie on the back as she hugs her back, "Yes, yes, just a nightmare, nothing real about that, there is no way that will happen." She sounds very sure of herself.
Teles looks a bit abashed as Archie gushes over him. "Well I... yes, Miss Thell was quite the student, very easy to teach and she was eager to learn. As it appears you are yourself. I'm sure once we get all this figured out and you out of your current situation, you will follow in her footsteps."
He listens as Archie continues on, trying to ascertain what she is saying, "Well, the suit said that you were about 48% absorbed currently, and yes, this arcane sphere I am able to create should take the place of you for a bit on powering the suit, but I do not know how long. That is impossible to calculate the with the information I have at hand." Teles answers her as he looks at the problem with eyes looking only at the problem ahead of him.
As the percentage is said aloud, Reya looks to Archie to see how she will take the news, ready to be there for her if she needs it. Turning to Teles, "No, I don't think the IronMaiden said anything pertinent about the sphere idea, other than they were open to it."
A'lai smiles brightly at Archie when she gets the drawing, "I will do my best to contact this woman." Turning to Corlith, her smile becomes a frown as she regards him with the question in the air. "Well, yes. Fembris does reside here in Candlekeep. But finding him is always a problem. You see, he occupies an extradimensional space. Honestly, with all that little guy collects, it is a good thing. But the problem is, he is constantly changing where the door to it is located. Your guess is as good as mine, you might be able to find someone that knows?"
As Roo starts in with his input the artificer and cleric just stare at him. Finally A'lai responds, "Gallus? I'm afraid I am unfamiliar. But as it has been mentioned, we can't just pull this young woman out of the suit, it would kill her."
She turns from the rest of the group as she casts her scrying spell, focusing on the drawing that Archie gave her. She frowns after a moment, then scrunches her eyes closed as she concentrates. Teles starts to talk to her and she immediately holds up one finger to stop him. She finally opens her eyes and they look almost weary compared to how they looked a moment ago. "I am so sorry, but Master Thell is no longer on this plane. I am not able to contact or even scry on her. I don't understand and I truly wish I had better news to give you."
Archie is visually relieved at Reya's assurances, and she listens to Master Ahvoste gushing right back at her, "Thank you Master Ahvoste, your words of encouragement are much appreciated... 48%..." Archie takes a beat and sits down once more, her helm twitching as though her eyes are flitting about scanning the ceiling for something as she makes calculations "I uhhh, well... Based on the time at which I believe I put on the suit, the exact date I do not know as I was unconscious the first time the IronMaiden took over as I have been every time since. But based on estimated start time, and allowing for 48% absorption up to now, it has taken over a couple of months to achieve. This means that without this localised power supplement, I'll only have just under three months left to live..." There's a quiet acceptance to her words and Archie looks over to Reya hoping that the young woman isn't too distraught at this revelation.
Archie seems amused at Roos suggestion of a gallus powered robotic being, and that gets her thinking, "would Gallus be happy with powering such a featherless and fleshless being... Such a direct divine presence would make the Ironmaiden akin to some kind of Aasimar haha... Divine." The last word lingers in her mind as A'lai gives the news that Thell is not on this plane of existence anymore. "Wait Roo might have a point, brilliant Roo! How had I not thought of it before! There's a likely hood that sentience was always the goal and if so the suit needed a soul or something akin to that kind of power, maybe that's why the inside was so cavernous. For such a soul like power source one would definitely need to ask the favour of divine beings, or failing that maybe even demonic..." She wheels about on the group an excitement and a dread equally taking hold on her tinny echoing voice.
Corlith listens as A'lai explains about the situation with Fembris, and then reports back her inability to contact Master Thell, meaning she is on another plane or potentially no longer present on any plane.
"A shame, but we must not give up hope. If we need this Fembris, then I'll get started looking", he says, and looks to leave to start the hunt for Fembris. He catches Archie's comment regarding the need for divine or demonic beings to power the suit and is pondering this as he looks around for Reed.
"Hey Reed!", he calls out. "We have a task if you are up for it. We need to find a man called Fembris who lives in an extra-dimensional space somewhere in Candlekeep", he adds, realising the futulity of the task even as he speaks it out loud.
"Perhaps, Sylvira Savikas knows where to find him", he suggests, either to the halfling if he finds them, or just speaking out loud to himself. Either way, he heads back to her room.
Virro says “Let’s find Fembris. But if we need to go to Avernus to solve this, both Archie/Ironmaiden and Elturel too, well then, so be it. I’m in, whatever it is. Hey, where is Reed?” Virro looks around the room, to see if he has wandered off. He also does a quick look of the items on the table to see if there is anything that would be of use to him, any tools, surgical supplies, etc.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
A loud familiar voice echoes around the courtyard for any to hear. "Corlith? Is that you?" Reeds jovial voice calls out. "I'm over hear. Talking to a nice raccoon gent."
Corlith would see Reed's head sticking out from a barely noticeable doorway.
"Just have to get changed and then I'll be along."
"Aaahh, buck buh buh...that's why I said 'if' we can pull her out. And unfamiliar with Gallus?" Roo says, sounding genuinely offended. However, where there would have been rage only days ago, no there is just...what? Disappointment? "Ah, well, no surprise there. So many blasphermers awash in this sea of false idols that there's no wonder your civilization is so very barbaric and on the boundaries of collapse, sucked into a damnation of your own imaginations. No no, it's alright, I'm not here to judge, just state the facts as I see them. Good day to you, child. Buck buh."
He switches his attention from the half-assed Cleric to his friend and sidles closer to Archie.
"I don't know." He says, flipping the bearded-devil's locks out of his face like some shoe-stare kid. "But it would make me happy, to help you, and Ironmaiden both. We all bask in Gallus's divine light every day. I don't know why you would be any less his chick buck than anyone else."
He side eyes the dumb as a rock Cleric.
"Wait, I'm brilliant? Oh, we're going to Avernus? That sounds wonderful! Death to the false idols!"
Corlith is a little startled by his halfing friend, but recovers his composure quickly and wanders across to the barely visible doorway.
"What do you mean, Raccoon gent? And get changed into what?", he asks. As he wanders over he wonders whether this strange doorway maybe exactly what they are looking for.
"You haven't stumbled upon someone called Fembris have you?", he says as he looks inside.
"thank you both for the insights, we will return hopefully with the arcane sphere components" Archie says as she bows low to Master Ahvoste and A'lai.
She then ushers Roo out the door whispering in response, "I was talking more about the IronMaiden, but I'm not sure of Gallus' stance on mechanical beings however sentient."
Once outside with Reya, Roo, Virro and Wilf she looks about, concerned, where did the other two go?
"Fembris, yeah that's the talking raccoon. How do you know his name?" Reed says while he goes back inside. "I traded him for some better leather armour. He's got quite the collection of odds and ends here. And he's a respectable size."
Once he's fully back in Fembris's room, he begins taking off his old leather armour and puts on the new studded leather.
"Hey Fembris," Reed calls. "This is my friend Corlith. He already knew your name. Are you famous?"
Corlith enters Fembris' room and begins to look around.
"A'lai mentioned that Fembris is a collector, and might have an undead eye in his possession", he explains. "We need it to help Archie and Ironmaiden".
He carries on nosing around until Fembris appears.
As Corlith moves further into the room, his eyes scanning around, he notices a pile in one of the corners that makes his skin crawl a bit. Odds and ends of undead items.
Making his way towards the pile, he reaches out with his spectral hand and starts to sift through it. He is so consumed by it, he doesn't notice the raccoon that Reed was speaking of.
Archie, feeling fresh from her prolonged nap, listens hard and catches some distant conversation from familiar voices. Dragging the others with her, she leads them to a cobblestone alley between two of the spirals, there is only one door way along the limestone wall which appears to have been fitted at an angle that is slight off of what it should be. As she approaches she sees the door is already open, "Corlith? Reed? You guys in here? ... Uhhh Fembris?" And with that she hesitantly peeks her head in.
When Reed asks Fembris if he is famous, he does a very flourishing bow, "Why yes yes I am famous! Everyone in Candlekeep knows of Fembris Larlancer the Great Collector!" When he looks up from this elaborate bow, he notices the tiefling that has joined the halfling in his room. Before giving Corlith any attention, the little raccoon claps his paws together and exclaims, "That looks much better on you! and you'll be so much better protected! Fembris help, yes?"
That's when he notices Corlith and a spectral hand heading towards his collection, "HEY!! Get you and yours away from my collection!!"he about hisses as he rounds on Corlith. Pointing a long black finger at him, he asks Reed, "This is friend of yours? Why he start poking around where it isn't his?"
He then turns at the sound of Archie and is starting to get agitated. "This is my stuff, mine!"
"You know big people. They think they own everything," Reed says. Then looks over at Corlith then back to Archie.
"Hey guys, this isn't a store. It's a private collection. But Fembris is keen on trades. If there's something you want ask him if he has it." Then he notices what Corlith is looking at. "You've been hanging out with Virro too much. Why are you nosing through that stuff?"

That's when he notices Corlith and a spectral hand heading towards his collection, "HEY!! Get you and yours away from my collection!!" he about hisses as he rounds on Corlith. Pointing a long black finger at him, he asks Reed, "This is friend of yours? Why he start poking around where it isn't his?"
He then turns at the sound of Archie and is starting to get agitated. "This is my stuff, mine!"
Reed smiles at Fembris.
