Reed begins searching through the odds and ends to help find the tuning fork, while at the same time keeping an eye out for anything else that might come in handy in hell, like magic rings of heat resistance.
"Why, you would rather be an otter than a shriveled old man too I bet ya! Sure makes moving around a lot easier!" He sees Reed start looking around, "Ooh good, help! Yes, see if you can find a tuning fork!"
Lulu seems to be looking between Corlith, Virro and Archie, pausing at Archie with a little uncertainty creeping in but then back to an amiable face.
Archie stands still looking at Lulu, the fact that her face is not visible behind the visor means her confused staring is not noticeable, but after a few moments Archie pulls the tattered book of gods and celestials from her bag and approaches Lulu, ushering the Hollyphant to come and take a gander. "Here do you recognise any of these beings?" Archie asks out loud pointing to several entries in the book helpfully, "perhaps this one might jog the ol' memory, or this, I love this pictures she has such beautiful wings"
Roo struts in, looking around and listening but not really paying attention until this furred fiend talks about the culinary intricacies of consuming aborted babies. His beak falls open as he listens, dumbstruck, as no one thinks this is a travesty.
"I beg your pardon..." Roo says, sounding sick and disturbed. "Break eggs? Omelets? What sort of baby killing freak are you!? What is it with this society and its penchant for killing us poor Gallus? We only want to live and raise our families and here are you weasel-people murdering our children! I demand an apology this instant or I will be raising a ruckus, you hear me!?"
Traxigor looks at the Gallus and cocks his head to the side. "Baby killing freak? I guess maybe from your vantage point. From mine? They are delicious! Personally, I usually eat them raw, but an omelet just lets you add in all the other goodies!"
Ignoring the rest of Roo's outburst, he turns to see the halfling digging around in his clutter, "Ooh hey, you finding anything worthwhile?"
Corlith smiles at Traxigor's reasoning for liking being an otter, but is really keen to get things moving along. Which is why he is very pleased that Reed finds the tuning fork.
Lulu appears to get a little animated as she looks at the picture on Archie's book.
Then she looks at Corlith and nods, "Ol sa hwoo? oo's so cot shoonncean el soo"
"Ah yes!! Thank you good sir." and he takes the tuning fork from Reed. "How long? Well, now that I have the last item needed, we can head to Avernus as soon as you're all ready. Where are we going though?"
"Elturel! Anywhere in the city, I know it like the back of my hand." Reya chimes in, excitement about finally going resonating off of her.
Archie starts wordlessly conversing with Lulu, apparently rapt in telepathic discussion and without looking holds a finger up to the group gesturing them to wait a moment.
Archie gasps with shock, bringing a hand up to her mouth, she closes the book and looks up to the group, her movements sad and slow.
"Guys I think Lulu needs to come with us... Not only is she a hell rider but she is one of the only celestial hell riders, and one of Zariel's best friends... Lulu can't understand the fate of elturel or the contract, but they want to save their friend and I think if that's an option we should at least take her."
Corlith nodes his agreement, "I think that would be best. Lulu's memories might hold the key to rescuing Elturel".
He looks to Reya before carefully adding, "Did Lulu tell you about the betrayal? Apparently Zariel was betrayed when she attacked Avernus. By some of her own Hellriders".
Reed looks back and forth from Lulu to Archie to Corlith to Reya. This was all quite exciting and besides he had no idea where in Avernus they should go. Elturel seemed as good a spot as any to him.
Archie looks up from the book and gives Lulu a nod, turning to the group she says "we have an accord, Lulu will travel with us, sorry to commandeer your friend here Traxigor... Her memories of the time are missing and that which remains is of a Zariel who would not commit the atrocities that we have evidence of... Lulu wishes to accompany us to not only save Elturel but to save her friend Zariel..." Archie looks over to Reya and addresses Corlith directly, "there appears to have been a betrayal yes, but we don't tar an entire group with the actions of possibly only a few, we're going to find out what happened and then decide what to do from there" she nods as she speaks Asif already knowing that Corlith is in agreement but she's likely saying all this out loud to instead assuage the fear of others.
"I did not say otherwise", Corlith replies to Archie. "But we do need to be careful if there are those in Elturel who are not going to be happy to be saved".
Reya looks a bit dumbfounded to Corlith by his account of the betrayal. "Um.. no. What are you all talking about?" She looks from Archie to Corlith to Lulu, obviously a bit confused but doesn't want to push any further as she is worried that would create delays.
"No problem at all! If you can help Lulu with her memories, I'm sure she'd be a much happier Hollyphant which would make me happy! She's such a wonderful girl." He ushers the lot of you to the center of the room and directing that you all hold hands, he holds the tuning fork up then lowers it quickly to clang it on the ground. The sound fills the room and soon the room starts spinning as you cling to each other awaiting the plane shift
Once a holy city whose folk venerated Lathander, Torm, Helm, and Tyr, Elturel is now a site of doom and despair tethered some five hundred feet above the River Styx. Eight great chains bind the city to jagged posts of infernal iron, which stick up out of the ground like gargantuan spikes. The Companion, the second sun that provided so much solace and protection to the city for years, now glares down on Elturel like a baleful eye — a black void crackling with lightning.
A hot, stinging air assaults your senses. The city street in which you stand is lined with buildings that are crumbling, some already collapsed. The ground shudders beneath your feet, and you hear a cacophonous tumult taking place far beneath the city. In the red, smoky sky, the singular 400-foot-diameter sphere of darkness discharges strokes of bluish-white lightning that strike the city at irregular intervals. Perched atop a distant bluff, overlooking the rest of the city, is a crumbled fortress.
Traxigor gazes up at the black orb nervously, utters a few arcane syllables, and disappears in the blink of an eye.
Reed looks around with a slight frown. Then he finally shrugs and smiles.
"So what now? Find out who's in charge here and ask them to return the city?" Reed asks the group. He then points at the ruined fortress. "Start there?"

Lulu hovers closer to Archie to look at her book.
Reed stands up holding a tuning fork in his hand. He shrugs at the ottermage’s question. “Is this what you were looking for?”
Corlith smiles at Traxigor's reasoning for liking being an otter, but is really keen to get things moving along. Which is why he is very pleased that Reed finds the tuning fork.
"How long will this take, Traxigor?".

"I am ready, the sooner the better".
Archie gasps with shock, bringing a hand up to her mouth, she closes the book and looks up to the group, her movements sad and slow.

To be continued tomorrow....
As every one clutches one another and the room begins to spin, Archie yells out, "hey guys!... I'll see you in hell! Ha!"
Reed closes his eyes and holds on to those on either side.
"How do we get -" Reed begins to ask about their return journey plans but doesn't get to finish the question before the room spins.
CHAPTER 2: ELTUREL HAS FALLEN
