"So we may be able to help each other in that case", Corlith replies to Mad Maggie. "Lulu is struggling to remember all that happened during that time, but it may be you can provide information that will jog her memory and that could be of benefit to all of us".
"We would also be interested in any information you have about the city being dragged down", he adds, motioning at Elturel which he assumes is very visible from here.
"But first and foremost, we can see that you are neither devils nor demons here, and not involved in the conflict. Are you therefore neutral in this war?".
The two kenkus start squawking in excitement, flapping and stirring up all kinds of dust in the nearby area. A couple of creepy gnomes start yelling and throwing fistfulls of dirt back at them, a couple hit Iron Maiden in the back. They swing their long scimitars in the air, but do nothing to start an actual combat.
Chukka points to the gear in question, and looking to IronMaiden, "Can you do anything about it?" Clonk, happy to have another birdfolk around, starts squawking excitedly to Roo.
As Corlith tells Mad Maggie that Lulu doesn't remember that time in her life, the hag frowns and starts tapping her crooked chin. She starts walking closer towards the group, an eye on what is going on with the kenkus and IronMaiden. She pulls the lead she has on the creature and it moans as it starts moving forward after her, hopping on one of his feet. The redcaps start howling and making fun of the large creature's walk, some even mimic it as it catches up to Mad Maggie.
As you look around, you're surprised to see the amount of the little redcaps around, almost 20 or so.. and some, some are even more twisted than the ones they saw earlier. Like the caps they were wearing seem to take over their head. At least there aren't as many of these. Visible anyways.
"First and foremost you say? Well, as long as we aren't bothered, I'm not bothered by either. Most of my deals are with the devils, but if I can cut a good deal with a demon... guess I wouldn't turn that away either." She looks over to where Corlith is pointing - to the city, "Can't say I know nothing about that. Being dragged down you say? Should keep those devils and demons busy at least." She turns away from it, like it is no business of hers. Turning back to the hollyphant, she starts scratching her head. "Can't remember eh? Hmmm.. perhaps I could."
"Yes yes, quite lucky in fact." Roo says, his attention quickly fading from Mad Maggie and returning to the two Kenkus. When one squawks to him, he squawks in return and gestures wildly at Iron Maiden, then points at the vehicle. His head jerks around, side to side, as he examines the situation, and he follows Corlith's gesture back toward Elturel.
His eyes narrow as the fistfuls of dirt hit Archie, and he squawks to one of the Kenkus and gestures to the ugly little Gnome-things.
Corlith moves to make sure he is stood between Mad Maggie and Lulu when he notices she is closing the distance.
"Interesting. So you are not aligned to Zariel and her forces, or opposed to them. I am curious, why such an obsession about her fall from grace?", he asks, still not sure whether they are in danger what with all the redcaps seemingly gathering.
IronMaiden's joints tighten against the dirt, but they mostly ignore the redcaps throwing dirt.
"Of course I can help, all I need is;
a forge,
a Piece of refined infernal iron,
a container full of sand,
some water
and separately some oil.
How many of these things have you access to? Also what can you do for myself and my group of I do help?" At remembering the group and having needs of which to trade services for IM turns to give a very awkward double thumbs up towards Virro and Reed specifically.
Reed watches the nasty gnomes with some interest, getting ready to use his cloak to get as many of them stuck in the webbing if they make any aggressive moves.
After Roo chatters back at the Kenkus, they look over at the redcaps throwing the dirt, shrug and go back to looking at the machinery. They both look at IM as they list off what they is needed to fix the gear. Nodding at each of the items, they cluck and chitter about each one, and start huddling together excited about new things to try.
Mad Maggie considers Corlith's question, tapping her drool ridden chin with her forefinger. "Good question, young man. You see, I enjoy a good story of corruption of the valiant, delight in their misery and well.. this one is a doozy if I say so myself. So what do you say? Shall we crack open those memories?" she coughs a bit, sounding like she's hacking up a hairball, then recovers.
Chukka and Clonk looks to IronMaiden at their last request, "What.. what do you want?"
Virro stands silently, having no idea how to fix this machine, but he watches very carefully as he sees Mad Maggie approaching, trying to catch from her tone and looks at Lulu what she is intending. "How do you propose to crack open, said memories? It isn't as easy as cracking open an egg now, is it? How would you...do that, exactly?" Virro subconsciously tightens the straps on his shield arm, gazing at the hag and trying to read the situation.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ironmaiden rubs their metal hands together with glee, "gentlemen, we are going to forge our own gear from a pressing of the hezrou spikes, giving us the exact measurement to complement the machine, but without all of that unnecessary demonic energy flooding out the connection between your soul converter and your infernal intake valve... Now what do we have access to? Any of those items? I can work with very little, if we enlarge the press we can always adjust excess from the cast to fine tune the new gear afterwards, but it might mean we need more infernal iron, do you understand?"
Clonk seems to shrug and respond to Roo in auran, and Chukka seems pleased that IronMaiden is more interested in the actual work than anything else. He jumps from foot to foot as he listens to the artificer. "A forge you say? Well, Barnabus has one I think?" Clonk nods up and down at this. Then Chukka continues, "Sand? We have that everywhere, look under your feet. Water... well, I hope it doesn't have to be clean water. Oil? No idea. But for the infernal iron... I don't think we have any." He looks down, feeling defeated and gives the infernal machine a kick.
Mad Maggie laughs a good loud cackle at Virro as he asks if it is like cracking open an egg, apparently she finds him quite funny. Her laugh garners the attention of two ravens that come swooping into the situation and one lands in the hag's hair and the other on her shoulder.
"No no no" Mad Maggie scolds, "We need to perform a ritual. One that we go into your friend's dreams and retrieve her memories." She then clasps her hands and looks directly to Lulu, "What do you say missy?"
Seeing the kenkus start getting frustrated again, some of the redcaps laugh and stop throwing dirt at IronMaiden. A couple of them squawk at the ravens when they appear.
The IronMaiden thinks, excuses themselves respectfully from the kenkus instead turning to the redcaps and decides to approach them. "Greetings small allies, would any of you possibly know where one could find some infernal iron, or some weapons or armour made from it? If not could you possibly attract someone here with such a thing and we could acquire it from their corpse"
Another weight lifts off Wilfred as he see's Roo' joins the others. He is glad to see his feathered friend safe and sound. He sits back for a bit and listens. Happy to once again being surrounded by familiar faces. Also, he's happy he isn't the only one that thought these contraptions should have horses.
He is focusing on the Iron Maiden's work with the Kenku. It will take some time for him to get used to Archie not being there. He whistles over to her... it? He should probably figure that one out. He whistles over and gestures to step next away from the others for a moment. "Now listen. You are a skilled craftsman. But you can't just go doing work for free. Don't sell yourself short, now your value. Also, what is this infernal iron stuff you are looking for? I have this Glaive I got from one of them devils or demons or whatever they are, could part of this work?" He will show the IronMaiden the Infernal Glaive, but does not hand it over.
He hears the word Ritual and looks back to the other conversation happening. "One moment." he says to the Iron Maiden.
He puts his glaive back on his back and heads over, smiling at Mad Maggie. "See Midge, what did I tell you! My friends are something else! Now, I'm not that big in the ways of Magic, but there has to be some risks with this ritual, yea? A price? I just want to make sure my friends are safe. No sacrifices or what not, right?"
Virro crosses his arms, watching Mad Maggie, then looks to Lulu, saying "If Lulu agrees, okay. I think she would like to have access to her memories, maybe this can help. And certainly, it would help us. What do you say?" He turns to look up at Lulu, opening his mind to telepathic conversation.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ironmaiden cocks their head thinking for a moment before the lightbulb moment happens, "ah yes payment given for services rendered" but then Wilfred moves way to talk rituals.
Changing tack, IronMaiden returns to the kenkus and begins the bartering. "I require payment for my services, unless of course you have the skill and know how to fix the issue yourself, though I have diagnosed your problem, consider that a freebee, I am indeed a gracious vendor of service, not greedy, yes. Let us start the bartering at 100gold with the caveat that you provide the infernal iron... Now you counter offer."
Corlith looks around as the conversations continue and Lulu is yet to make her decision.
"Wilf is right, we need more details about this ritual. But just a reminder, Lulu has already remembered much on our journey. We came here looking for the next step on that journey. The ritual is not the only way for Lulu to remember. The alternative is we get directions as we came for, and be on our way".
Lulu nods at Corlith, though obviously looks confused. She then looks to Virro for a bit.
The little redcaps snicker and chatter, one replies to IronMaiden, "A corpse you say? Well, you have iron on you.. can we make you a corpse?"the others laugh at their buddies response.
Mad Maggie smiles and rubs her hands together, "Yes yes, worthy indeed. Well.. not a price per ce for the ritual, but it will be a bit dangerous, for all of you. But no, no sacrifice is needed for this ritual. I'm sure it would be worth it for your friend. Random memories coming back.. why they can be out of order, sometimes not even in correct, you sure you want to leave this kind of thing to chance?"
"Alternative? What directions are you looking for?"
Clonk squawks loudly at this, "100 gold?! You think we have gold just laying around here? Hells, it isn't even valuable here. What are you going to buy with gold??" "And we already told you, we don't have any infernal iron." Chukka adds.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Corlith motions to Virro as he asks a very pertinent question, showing he too wants to know that.
"Of course, this is ultimately Lulu's choice and her you have to convince", he adds.
Reed's attention continues to be on the gnomes and the hag but he's finding he's getting distracted by Ironmaiden and all of her technical talk.
"Not having unnecessary demonic energy sounds great, IM," Reed calls over his shoulder.
