Reed watches the recaps thinking it would be best just to kill all of them, but he's not sure if they have favoured pet status or similar with Midge. Freddie and Midge?
"You're really going to have to tell us what you've been up to, Wilf," Reed says. Then he nods at the redcaps. "Back off from IronMaiden or the only corpses around here will be the lot of you."
"I have no body of flesh, I would not be able to become a corpse, nor am I made from infernal iron. Your enthusiasm for ideas is appreciated, though your general lack of intelligence is proving useless" the IronMaiden calls back over their shoulder as if stating the most helpful of facts for the giggling redcaps, they then turn their attention back to the kenkus in front of them. "Bartering is difficult, if you know where I could acquire infernal iron close by, if I can fix this vehicle then I will accept payment in any coin you can find, and also use of the machine for one journey for myself and my group... now you counter offer."
"We are looking for the place Chucka and Clonk found Lulu the first time they met her", Corlith replies to Mad Maggie. "And once again, Lulu must decide whether she wants to undergo the ritual. If she agrees, I am willing to face the danger to help her".
"And to clarify again, you will be doing this for nought but Lulu's tale once she has her memories back?".
At Reed's command, the creepy gnomes start dancing around the halfling instead. Pulling out their wicked looking scimitars and letting light play off the blade. They don't get too close and aren't exactly in a threatening type stance...
The kenkus look to each other and back to Iron Maiden and back to each other. They seem to communicate through some gestures, almost telepathically but then they start nodding. "We can chat with some of the others to see if we can find out where to find some. I'm sure we can. And as for the use of the machine for a journey once fixed? That sounds good to us! Deal!" They squawk around excitedly seeing they made a deal with the funny suit of armor.
As Corlith says he is willing to face the danger to help her, Lulu looks at the rest of you to see your thoughts on the matter. Mad Maggie nods, "Yes yes, her memories are payment enough for me."
"Where they first met Lulu?" Mad Maggie scrunches up her face and looks at the two kenkus, "Hey you bozos, where did you first meet Lulu?" The birdmen look at each other and shrug, "We don't know, somewhere out there." they point towards the gate.
Ironmaiden reminds the kenkus, "and any coins you find lying around, remember the coins, currency is an important part of the art of the deal... I think I read that somewhere. But yes we have a deal! I can not wait to start working on the machine" they extend their hand awkwardly and if taken give a very stiff handshake to each of the kenku's before excusing themselves and going back to find out what the group is up to.
"I have made my first deal! When the kenkus find out where some infernal iron is then we just have to go and collect it, then I can begin working and they will let us use the vehicle" then with a hand up to the side of their visor to stage whisper to Wilfred they add "they will also give me whatever coins they have lying around, I am very good at bartering" standing straight once more they start listening to the conversation and attempting to piece together what is being discussed.
Virro looks up at Lulu, assessing whether this arrangement is still acceptable, then seems to nod, stepping back. "Okay, how does this begin? Do you mind if I.... take some notes?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The kenkus nod, "Yes yes, we'll share coin with you." Unsure about the handshake themselves, they attempt to mimic what IM is doing.
As Reed asks about the redcaps, it looks as though Mad Maggie barely hears him, so entranced with the hollyphant. She waves her hand towards them, and replies, "Meh."
She does nod to Virro's question but is also waiting for Lulu's decision. Lulu looks from one friend to the next and seeing that none are rebuking the fact that Mad Maggie mentioned danger for them as well, she finally shrugs and nods flying closer to Mad Maggie.
The hag's face breaks into a grotesque looking grin with crooked black teeth sticking out at odd angles and more drool running down her chin. Her eyes almost disappear between the wrinkles and folds of her face. She takes out what looks like a dark gray piece of chalk and heads over to two of the redcaps. "Fetch me 4 black cushions. Be snappy about it!" she then uses the chalk to draw a large circle, about a 10 foot radius, big enough for the party to be inside of it.
She then draws an inner circle, this one is not a simple line, it is created with strange glyphs that seem warped or twisted like some forgotten language. Then going back to the larger circle, she draws a hexagon inside with the points touching the larger circle. But this hexagon two of the points are slightly off kilter making it feel chaotic and unstable. She then puts the chalk away and draws a dagger.
She looks around and spots the flesh golem, "Mickey! Get over here." Her 'pet' starts dragging his feet, doing his little hop and moaning as he goes. She gets impatient and grabs her rope, pulling him to her at his louder protests. She grabs the creature's arm and with the dagger, slices a long, deep cut into Mickey's forearm. He cries out but doesn't pull his arm back. She holds out the arm, letting the blood splatter all over the created circle. When she is satisfied, she lets go of him and at this time, the two redcaps return with the cushions.
She takes the cushions places them in a group in the center circle. Turning to Lulu she gestures towards the cushions, "Here deary, take a seat and get comfortable. This should only take about 10 minutes... give or take." Lulu looks at the group, with growing trepidation but after a moment's pause she flies over and rests her little body upon the black cushions. Once settled, Mad Maggie digs into the pack resting on her side and retrieves two skulls.
She holds them up, with their faces looking at her and she happily murmurs something to herself. She then sets them at the two junctures where the hexagon touches the outer circle a little off. Once placed, she cackles, "I'm sure my sisters won't mind if we pick their brains about this problem." Then standing at apparently the head of the circle, she opens her arms wide, "Please, come into the circle. Find your spot and close your eyes. You will all be joined telepathically for this ritual, and if anyone leaves the circle it will interrupt the ritual and I will have to start over. So come, come now."
Wilfred laughs at Reed's comment. "It's not nearly as interesting as you think."
Wilfred smiles at pats the IronMaiden's shoulder. "Great job! I knew you could do it. I still have my Glaive, it that will work. Otherwise, I'm sure you will figure it out. I believe in you."
Wilfred then watches as Midge begins her ritual. This magic stuff is always beyond him, but it fun to watch. When she indicates that he for them to step in, he hesitates for a moment. "Magic isn't really my thing. But, I'll help if I can. Do I sit or stand." Wilfred goes into the circle and takes up a position where told.
Virro sets down his pack and pulls out a notebook and pen, drawing the entire scene and making notes about the order of things, what was done, where, a list of sorts of each step. "Ooooh, yes." he says, "Just a minute, gotta finish with my notes." He does not hold up the ritual, but he makes a copy of everything done so that he can study it later. After that is finished, he takes his place and sits cross-legged on the pillow, folding his hands in front of him and starting to go into a trance, a faint smile on his face, that of curiosity being satisfied.

Ironmaiden lacking an explanation for what is going on, having been busy with the machine up to this point, hesitantly follows suit (pun intended) and steps up to the circle confused. "What are we doing? Is this some kind of summoning circle?"
On hearing that the hag really doesn't care what happens to the redcaps, Reed points to Maggie and back to the threatening redcaps and indicates that he's watching them and that he's not threatened by them.
Then he sees the drawings and cushions and talk of a circle.
"All of us?" Reed asks then looks around and spots Slobberchops up on the walls watching the goings on with almost no interest. "Maybe just the ones interested in the answer?"
Reed assumes she means for the entire party to join the circle so wanders over and slides in.
Roo begins to take notice of what is going on around them. He becomes less defensive of the redcaps bothering IronMaiden as she approaches and speaks to them, but there's something about Mad Maggie's interest in Lulu that makes him stop and puzzle in his avian way. He shoves these worries aside however as the rest of the party seems to relax, at least a little, and then the old hag has the uh...the uh...whatever that ugly thing is bring out the black cushions.
The little Gallus struts over with all the zeal he can muster, ruffling his feathers and puffing his chest out as he gets near.
"Ah, what's this? What are we doing now?" He says, his voice low, not quite a whisper though. His feet kick back and forth as if scratching the ground for seeds, though his attention is on what is going on. "Buck buh... This isn't going to muss my magnificent plumage is it?"
The redcaps roll their eyes at Reed and continue their little tap dance with scimitars. As Reed starts moving towards the circle, they do not get in the way and start to lose interest in the halfling. A couple of them head out of the gate.
Mad Maggie allows each to find their own spot within the circle, not dictating where or how one wants to join. In answer to Corlith's question, "We are journeying through Lulu's dreams. My guess is as good as yours." She smirks at Roo's comments about his magnificent plumage, but just ushers him inside the circle with the rest.
"Alright now, you all close your eyes and keep em closed!" She looks in particular to Virro as he has been so keen in watching the ritual, making sure he understands that his eyes need to remain closed.
Satisfied that her directions will be heeded, she starts her incantations. As she initiates the ritual, you all sense the telepathic bond forming between yourselves, the hag, and Lulu. With eyes still closed, you all sense a brilliant flash of light, then darkness. A tingling sensation sweeps over your bodies as vibrant rainbows appear within your minds and you see Lulu’s first dream unfold.
As the rich, radiant light of a hundred dancing rainbows slowly dissolves, warm sunlight fills the area. Within that space, Lulu flies lazily in a lush meadow at the shoulder of a beautiful, blindfolded angel. As the pair strolls through the tall green grass, the voice of the hag fills your mind, “Push through this vision. It only represents what Lulu wishes was true. We need to see more.” This is when you realize that she isn't with you in the dreamscape, just her disembodied voice.
