Wilfred nods at Roo's comment. "Roo has it right. Just because there was no ill will doesn't mean a corrupt person wouldn't suppress and control the working class to get gains for themselves. That's what they do, they make you work for them, believe in them, then they can do whatever they want. We really need a form of government where the working class gets just as much say as them nobles. Maybe more, considering we do all the work. But, that's a discussion for another time."
"Anyways, I think splitting up is a bad idea. Let's stick together for the time being. Where we going? " Wilfred will follow whoever's in the lead, trying to stay to the middle of the pack. He still looks pretty beat up from the last few fights.
"Time shall tell." Is all he says in regard to the protestations about his assumptions about Thavius Kreeg. His arms make a slight shrugging motion, but he turns his attention back toward the stables after he thinks longer about what Corlith had to say. "A valid concern, buck. Shall we kill the stable hand and the horse? Burn it all down? Oh, wait, how about nailing the door shut?"
Virro is up and moving, following behind Reed. He moves to put his mask back on, rearranging his cloak and trying to assume the cultist persona again. He taps the mask and nods to Corlith, then turns to Archie, saying “My Lady Duke?” You can just make out a crooked smile in the mouth window of the mask, he starts to stride forward confidently and encourages Reed to scout ahead. When he hears Roo’s comment, he says “Let’s just move quickly and stay together. After we have swept through let’s nail the doors shut and burn this mother to the ground, yes?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Roo closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and flicks Glory of Morning's reins after the rest of the party.
"Nothing good will come of any of this." He speculates out loud. "I clucking home I'm wrong, though. Gallus knows when Kreeg rides away on that horse, our answers go with him."
He drops it after that, continuing on after Reed and Archie, sticking close to Corlith as they advance through the dungeon.
Opening the last door to the North, you find what appears to be a bedroom, empty.
Wrought-iron candlesticks topped with flickering candles light this room, which is heated by a cast-iron stove with clawed feet. Across from the crackling stove is a modest desk with a matching chair. Other furnishings include a small table and chair for dining, a bed, an iron chest resting at the foot of the bed, and two tapestries: one showing spirits rising as lemure devils from the River Styx, and another depicting a dead man dangling like a marionette from hooked chains.
As Reed peeks into the room on the north side and causes no ruckus, Corlith moves up to the door just beyond it to the south, and listens. He is also once more wearing the cultist mask.
Reed zeroes in on the chest and makes his way to it. He's not expecting a trap, but who knows down here so he looks for one first (Perception: 13+7 = 20). If he doesn't spot anything amiss, Reed tries to open the chest (Thieves' Tools if locked 12+9=21).
Archie dismisses the illusion of the duke that she has been using, not wanting the masque charm to become completely useless in the future.
She browses the tapestries and wonders which hellish deities might be attributed to the symbolism there, she looks for any name or description of the tapestries but failing that she cross references the imagery with her book on multiverse gods, seeing if she can find any stories on familiar hellish beings.
Wilfred looks into the room, then sees Corlith continue on. He takes a step into the room Reed opened, but keeps an eye on Corlith just in case he needs help.
Virro walks over to the tapestries, standing at first with his hand on his chin beside Archie, admiring them like he was in an art gallery. Then he walks forward and checks the material, looking behind them. He looks down to the desk and begins to examine, looking at what is there, opening the drawers and rifling through them.

He takes a longer time to sort through things, looking up to Archie for help. He talks to himself as he’s looking, “What secrets are you hiding here, eh?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Archie sighs and moves her head suggesting she might be rolling her eyes behind her visor, she grabs the bottom of the first tapestry and lifts it up letting virro get a better look.
Roo readies himself when Corlith announces he hears voices. He bobs his head around for a moment, one hand resting on the hilt of the Owl's Talon, while studying the mace that had come from the statue. He makes sure that his old shield is stowed away in Glory of Morning's tack, and then shrugs Fog' Horn's shield off his shoulder.
"Whenever you're ready." He says gently to Corlith. "I have your back, brother. Buh buh buck."
Wilfred nods at Roo's comment. "Roo has it right. Just because there was no ill will doesn't mean a corrupt person wouldn't suppress and control the working class to get gains for themselves. Reed looks up and down the hallway then up at Archie.
”If I had to bet on it, I think this passage will just loop around to the other doorway eventually. Either direction is as good as the other.”
"lead on" comes a faux stoic response from Archie.
Roo shrugs at Archie's comment.

Seeing the others carry on, Corlith looks down to Roo, "I guess we better stick with them".
He takes one last look at the door behind them before following the others.

Looking back to Roo, Corlith replies quietly, "If you want answers we have to make sure Kreeg lives long enough to give them as well".
The implication is clear that he doesn't trust the others not to kill on sight.
Reed quietly makes his way down the hall to the next doorway (on the north side) and gives it a listen.

Reed looks back at the others and shakes his head.
"Can't hear anything," Reed says.
He pushes the door open and takes a look inside.

Corlith turns to the others still in the tunnel, and puts a finger to his lips as he steps back away from the door.
"This room is occupied, I can hear conversation but cannot make out what they are saying", he reports back.
"Perhaps I should just go in and see how many there are and what they are discussing?", he offers. "Once everyone is ready of course".
