"hey can they manifest themselves?" Archie asks Reed, "I've heard of people having to fight raised spirits, maybe it's another kind of magic or whatever, but having so many ghosts around us all the time feels really... Weird. Your mum is one of them though right? It must be comforting to have her around even after she has passed." Archie sits against the wall, having given up on searching the corpse and more than happy to let Reed work.
"oh!" Archie chuckles at Reed "obviously not seeing the buggers floating around it hard to tell the difference when you're talking to them or mumbling to your mum on odd occasions, sorry for assuming." She eyes the keys and responds, "I guess we'll have some fun finding out"
"Well, I think that settles it." Roo says as he crosses the room and finally looks at the eviscerated body of Duke Vanthampur. "I think I'm done trying to find answers. For now on, I believe I'll just get straight to the killing, buck. No expectations, just cold vengeance. Maybe we'll get answers through the grace of Gallus. Otherwise..."
He does this weird little shrug thing that makes his long neck sort of....dip into this body or....something...before going back for Glory of Morning.
“I had no idea the vile Duke was going to give up the ghost so fast, plus I had my Lady to protect. You can do that thingy that you could bring her back to ask her your questions, if you want to.” Virro is taking her time rummaging through her pockets as well, flipping her body over and then back, lifting up her arms and letting them flop. He turns to Reed, looking up in the air, “Where is she now? Hovering above? Tell her that he family is screwed up. That is, was screwed up. Imbeciles.” Virro looks in the space above her head and makes an obscene gesture with his middle finger, then sits down against a wall.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"There is still Thavius Kreeg left to find, he might have some information about all this. And we do need some information, unless everyone here is happy to just kill everyone and claim our money from the Flaming Fists. I for one am interested in what more is at play here. Pacts with fiends, a city sent to hell and a plot to send another. This can't be all there is, just a couple of sewers turned into hideouts", Corlith says as Roo announces he is giving up on finding answers.
Reya takes another look at the angel statue in the larger room, then shrugs as the others seem to have moved on.
Catching up with the rest at the sight of the Duke's demise, she also listens to Roo's sentiments and puts a hand on the roosters shoulder. "I'm sure we'll find out some answers. That woman," she nods towards the Duke, "sure didn't seem to want to give anything up, other than her life."
Turning to Corlith, "I'm sure Thavius has information. I just hope we can save him from this place if this is where he is. What a terrible place to be imprisoned." she shudders, "But yes, we need to find out what happened so we can reverse it. Elturel CANNOT stay in hell, that is not... well that is just not right. We need to fix it." She says this last part with conviction and including you all whether you had planned on it or not.
Looking east and west, she turns to the rest of you, "So, where do you think they have him stashed?"
"Did we check out where the other secret door went?" Reed asks, making his way back to the room with the statue. Now that the fiend and the duke are dead, he looks more closely at the statue for anything unusual about it.
Virro stands and follows Reed, wondering where he is heading and seeing what he has figured out. “Did they tell you something? The spirits? Did they reveal any secrets?” He stoops to look at the statue base and then works all the way up, looking for anything odd. “This seems… out of place.”

Archie rolls her eyes at the pair walking back off again, enjoying the fact thet illusory magic has given her visible eyes to roll. She grabs the duke by a couple of limbs and drags her back into the secret room.
"I don't believe we have explored the other secret door, Reed", Corlith replies. "And if someone wouldn't mind toppling that statue, I would hate to have lied to Odious before his demise. Just for my own peace of mind of course".
"Now, where was that other secret door? Perhaps it leads to Thavius Kreeg".
Archie drops the body and takes Corlith's up on his offer, cocking her gauntlets and activating their lightning energy once more, she just lays into it until it is dust, chuckling as she goes!
Virro straightens up and touches Archie’s arm. “Hey, hey, hey, whoa, whoa … uh, guys. Something inside this statue is making it glow, I can see it in the eyes. It is like something is inside it, glowing, and making the eyes glow. I wonder what it could be?” He turns to Archie, “Don’t destroy it!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Wilfred smiles as the others take care of the old lady. They are a good bunch of kids. Talk to much about ghosts and what not. He starts to pay attention more when Thavius is mentioned. "We really need to find that Thavius guy, it seems like he'd have answers."
He nods "Oh, right, the statue. Let's get this thing toppled WHOA THERE! Archie, I knew you have a lot of tricks, but that's impressive! Anything else to knock down?"
Archie hesitates at Virro's hand, and then Wilf's encouragement, do knock it down? don't knock it down? She wishes everyone would make up their minds...
Coming to a quick compromise she punches it once, and once only, directly in its sternum, (18to hit, 11 thunder damage) "there! it's glowy and still together for the next few seconds and it's also destroyed a bit, is everyone happy now?"
Seeing Reed head over to a section of wall, Corlith assumes that is where the second secret door is, and follows him over.
"Ok, if we find Thavius, we are just going to talk to him right? Whilst we find out what is going on", he asks, loud enough for the others to also hear. He looks across quickly to the statue, happy that enough damage had been done to account for his threat to Odious, and not wanting to get into another discussion.
Roo returns on the back of Glory of Morning and is brooding harder than an emo kid at a HIM concert...or more appropriately, a broody hen.
Buh buh buck. He utters under his breath as he watches everything in his usual wide-eyed manner. Buh buck buck buh...
He regards Virro's words for a moment, and then watches as the whole of what Virro said is lost on Archie...then shrinks back as Reya lays a hand on his shoulder.
"Buck! Don't touch me!" He says with an animated weave of his head. "I barely know you and for all I know you're a Gallus eating, blaspheming, false idol worshipping infidel! Buck bagop! As a matter of fact, that's all of you, in my measure!"
He looks around and at least has the grace to say "Well, most present company excluded."as he attempts to make up for the insult.
He keeps his eyes trained on Reya.
"As for that ugly thing you declare is female, what would be any different from Amrik and Odious? They weren't exactly forthcoming either. Elutrel? Elutrel can stay in hell for all I care. I didn't come seeking the Flaming Fists for the sake of a bunch of heathen featherless."
As everyone continues to talk about Thavius, Roo' Stor just shrugs.
"Seems to me Thavius is probably as bad or worse than these people here. Probably complicit, in some way, buck. He's absolutely the reason Elutrel was dragged to hell in the first place, I'm sure. Every name that's been involved with this conspiracy so far as had some sort of role in what the Vanthampur's are trying to do." He waits a moment. "I came here to find help for my people. Instead, now I'm trying to save your people, and your city...the people and city who call us chickens and would rather have us for dinner than talk to us...and somehow have been sidetracked trying to find justice for Fog' Horn which, it seems, is a fools errand to everyone but me so... I don't know why I would even bother. Yes. I think we just kill Kreeg and anyone else involved in this mess and be done with it. If anyone wants him alive, I hope you find him before I do. Buh buh bah. If I can't even help my people or myself, I'm done trying to save a city of people who don't care about us Gallus."
He looks at the glowing statue. He raises a hand, prepares to touch it, study it, try to discern why it's glowing...then pulls back, deciding against it.
"Another false idol. This city is full of them, it seems. Regardless, buck, whatever reason Odious had for wanting to destroy it, I'm certain it's a bad idea."
Reed looks at Archie, confused for a moment.
"What?" Reed asks. "Mum's back in Thornvalley. She and dad run the Boughbuck Brewery."
He then waves his hand at something near his ear.
"They do yammer a lot but you learn to ignore most of the chatter after awhile."
Reed pulls out two keys from the folds of the dead duke's dress.
"Wonder what these open."
"oh!" Archie chuckles at Reed "obviously not seeing the buggers floating around it hard to tell the difference when you're talking to them or mumbling to your mum on odd occasions, sorry for assuming." She eyes the keys and responds, "I guess we'll have some fun finding out"
