“Maybe I’ll try again at his true office when we turn in our badges, maybe he just didn’t understand..” Virro says to himself as he stands. “Let’s get out of here. This place is dead anyway.” He walks behind Corlith, ready to move on to their next destination.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Reya joins the group and as they head out of the Blushing Mermaid, Fisk in the middle of them, still staring at the bags of digits that Virro holds, more in wonder than repulsion.
"Roo, they are right, and though I am sorry about Fog' Horn, it sounds like he was alone. You most certainly are not." Reya tries to cheer up the Gallus as well as they head towards their next destination. She yawns loudly as they move, realizing she hasn't really slept since arriving at Baldur's Gate and was looking forward to it.
You all arive at the workshop without issue, the place how you left it with so much taken apart meticulously and laid out.
"well shit," Archie sighs as she begins clearing away the things that were left out by the Ironmaiden's disassembly episode. "I uhh... Make yourselves at home I guess, there's two bedrooms and a living space with study area upstairs, I'm thinking reya should bunk with me in my room. Maybe Wilf and someone bunk together in Thell's room, and then I'll get some blankets for everyone else in the living room. Sound good?" Archie appears nervous as she hyper focusses on cleaning.
Reed thinks for awhile as they walk back to Archie's place.
Finally he nods to Roo "But it would still be okay to eat geese and turkeys, right? Mum makes a great stuffed goose."
If they pass a bakery that's open on the way, Reed will pop in to find a cake or similar for a birthday celebration. Or note where the closest one is for when it's open.
At Archie's, Reed claps his hands together.
"We could make tents in here." Reed says then wrinkles his nose. "Do you have a cellar or somewhere cool? As much as I like you're trophy and bounty pouches, Virro, they're going to start to smell if you keep them warm."
"uhh oh yeah there's like a pantry space under the store room at the back of the shop, and there's an ice box thing that Thell made in the kitchenette upstairs, but just make sure nothing leaks on the meat in there" Archie shudders at the thought, "tents sound cool! In the living room there's a fireplace so y'know it won't be too cold."
Corlith enters the room and after talk of sleeping arrangements, decides to head upstairs.
"I'll light the fire in the living area. I am perfectly happy to sleep in a chair in there", he offers as he makes his way to the staircase.
Unless Archie tells him otherwise, he will say no more for now, eager to sit down by the fire and simply contemplate all that had happened in the last few days.
Virro nods and says “Quite right. Always had to have ice available and lots of it for storage of bodies. I’ll find the ice box.” Virro wanders off and when he returns, he doesn’t have the two pouches at his side. He stretches and yawns, saying “I didn’t realize how tired I was, I need to zone out for a bit.” With a crooked smile, he says “Let’s get comfy!” He gets a fire going in the fireplace and starts to set up a place to rest and meditate, setting out his bedroll.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Archie finishes tidying and making the place look presentable and then retires for the night. She offers people use of water for freshening up, towels and blankets should they need, etc.. before she drags Reya off upstairs to get some shut eye.
All seems quiet over night, but half way through the long rest, the guys in the living room would be a little disturbed to find the ironmaiden shuffling around keeping alert like a blue flamed sentinel, they make their way down stairs and stand in the shop, still like a statue, simply observing the only way in and out of the shop. Keeping guard until the sun rises.
Roo doesn't have much to say, even with the praises and all that. He trundles along on the back of Glory of Morning, absentmindedly scratching between her ears as they go, his thoughts clearly somewhere else. He doesn't hang around when the team get's to Archie's; instead he reins Glory up a table, a wall, a shelf...and into the rafters, where the two of them take up residence for the evening...
Corlith wakes as the Ironmaiden makes their way through the lounge and down to the shop. He tries to get back to sleep for a little before giving up and heading downstairs himself.
"Hey Ironmaiden, keep the volume down because folks are sleeping, but I have a question or two for you. What do you know about your creator? Is there anything you know that Archie doesn't?", he whispers as he drags a chair over to sit by them.
Virro sits in a trance for four hours, lips murmuring to himself, periodically you see his hand shoot out and his mouth saying soundless words, it appears that he is practicing spells in a trance. When he has a swift motion with his hand or if he moves just right, his mouth turns up in a grin, pleased with himself. After going through his rituals and motions in his dreamlike state, he holds his hands on the shield in his lap, he is silent but his lips will continue to move from time to time.
At the end of four hours, his eyes flutter open, he sees Corlith walk by and he stands as well, walking to where the Ironmaiden rests, he pulls up a chair as well and quietly says “Hello” to Corlith, then nods, saying “I’ve had the same thought in my mind. Ironmaiden, can you tell us?” He looks on with curiosity.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the group heads back to the shop, Reed does find a shop that he is able to convert all the stolen goods to gold. He also finds a bakery very close to Archie's workshop, but it is closed for the night.
Reya happily joins Archie to her room and leaves the boys to their own devises. She gives Fisk one last look, unsure what to think of the man. Once the girls leave the room, Reed brings out the spoils of their "trip" and the discussion of splitting occurs. Reed hands out 428g to each of the men in the group and holds on to Archie's share until she is free from Reya to receive it.
As the others sleep on, Virro and Corlith join the IronMaiden in his vigil...
"you should sleep." The IronMaiden states without moving. Their blue flame dimly lights the shop front and cast odd shadows from the odd machines laying around half built or half fixed. "I will keep watch until the Sun rises, or until the source wakes."
Reed sleeps through the night, a small grin on his face as he does.
In the morning he will slip out early and go back to the bakery to get something that will pass as a birthday cake (or birthday pie, flan, crumble), plus any meat pies, or savoury pastries they may have, and bring it all back to the workshop.
"Avoidance is not a directive you have been given as far as I know. Let's stick to your directive, honesty is the best policy. Designation Ironmaiden, what do you know about your creator? Is there anything you know that Archie doesn't?", he asks again, trying to phrase it less as a conversation and more as a direct question, his voice still low but not now the whisper it was before.
"honesty is the best policy, a directive I was given subconsciously by the source. I agree, I am beholden to it... I know nothing of my creator, but what I can gather from the memories of the source, though my connection to her memories is weak, it will grow stronger the more she is absorbed.
I was not conscious when the creator left, but I am aware of her purpose for leaving. She set out to find an appropriate source for me, one that would not be missed of it was gone, a source of boundless arcanum which could fuel my sentience forever... In answer to your question, No, there is nothing I know of the creator more than the source, more than Archie already does...
I'm sorry, my responses are limited, You must ask the right questions."
IronMaiden does not take their eyes off the door for the entire time they speak, the eerie and emotionless tinny voice is low as to not wake the others.
"I will endeavour to think of more appropriate questions", Corlith replies, then heads back up to his chair by the now near embers of the fire that they lit the previous evening. He adds another log in the hope it will catch.
He ponders the need for a source of boundless arcanum. Such a thing would undoubtedly be dangerous and highly sought after. Wherever this Master Thell went to find it, it would not be a simple task.
During the morning as Reed slips out, the IronMaiden notes his exit wordlessly and then as the sun breaks over the roof tops, the flame within them flickers out as the orange takes over once more.
Archie doubles over grabbing at her head before taking in her surroundings, first panicking at the fact that she is not in bed and wondering whether the group was attacked or not. Finding no evidence of hostiles or an attack, Archie begins scraping together whatever dregs of food are left in the ice box in the small kitchenette. Cautiously moving Virro's finger bag out of the way, Archie begins frying off a few meatballs and boiling some old potatoes for those who are beginning to stir.
"Sorry it's not much, I've not had time to shop recently" she mutters as she puts a warm plate onto Corlith's lap and hands one over to Virro. "Have you guys been up long?"
"Not long", Corlith replies as he stands up from his chair and stretches. "I was up for a little in the middle of night though. Ironmaiden was back guarding the front door. I hoped they might have more knowledge of where this Master Thell of yours went. I mean, where do you go to get a source of boundless arcanum that won't be missed?".
He looks at the plate of food that Archie is offering, lifting it to give a it a sniff to see if it smells at all palatable.
Reed returns to the workshop with a box of savoury pastries as well as a wrapped cake.
He sets the cake down on whatever surface he finds large enough for it.
"Happy birthday, Archie," Reed says.
He then grabs one of the pastries and begins chewing away.
"Hey Wilfred," Reed calls. "I ran into your friend Bertie at the bakery. That protection guy, Salakar, cleaned her out again. I think we might want to deal with him before we head to Candlekeep. He sounds like a bad guy who doesn't need all of his fingers."
Licking flaky crumbs off his fingers, he looks around the shop.
"You have any plates, Archie?"
