Raevyn would of course listen, and as she did she would begin to draw her own conclusions as the young zombie girl was listing names. Considering it wasn't easy to forget the clowder of skeletal cats that clustered the crew just a room prior, in collection with the name Mittens she remembered Syl greeting, the Doctor concluded that she must be seeking her undead felines. "Are those the name of kitties?" Raevyn inquires as she decides to pull out her journal and draw an image of a skeletal cat, or two... "Are these cats your companions?" Raevyn asks, sharing the sketch with her. "I believe there's a chance some of them could be trapped on the main floor."
(Dex for drawing if you're judging quality or for RP?: 11 )
Nefire looks around the room while Raevyn chats up the strange little girl. She sees that Syl is busy apparently freeing the chained up skeleton and Dabbert and Jaylan have the other skeletons busy.
Satisfied that no one has their eyes upon her, she heads over to the door next to the girl and peers through it. (unless it is shut, then she tries to open it)
The skeletons all continue staring at Dabbert expectantly. (Intelligence check plus prof bonus with a DC 10 to know rules of this particular game...) Nefire looks at the door but the zombie girl's back is up against it and the door opens inward. She could try the door and use it to shove the girl away if she chooses...? (If so, easy Strength DC of like 8...)
The undead girl nods to Raevyn and looks up hopefully to her with great big anime eyes of pleading. "Mmhmmm... My kitties... Bella and Nala and Willow and Mittens and Smokey and Shadow and Tiger and Zoe and Sasha and Daisy and Emma and Trixie and Toes and Nibbler and Kraken and Fitz and Kitty-Catty and Mister Belvedere and..." The names seems to be able to go on forever before she abruptly stops and her eyes harden.
"Some of them??" She asks coldly.
"What 'other floor'?" She asks with a skepticism that seems older than her apparent age and her hands slip down from her knees and onto the floor.
"And what happened to the rest of them??" She asks as she climbs to her feet and stands up to her full four foot-six inches and puts her hands on her hips as she stomps her foot.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Admittedly I did not take inventory of the cats, therefore I could not account for certain if all of them jumped downstairs after Krumar's toy." Raevyn explains calmly and factually. "Would you like me to show you where they are so you can confirm them for yourself?" She gestures back towards the way they came, beyond the gambling mix of undead and living.
"Easy there," Syl says as the skeleton nearly collapses under his own weight. "Get your feet under you. Nothing worse than having to literally crawl back to a dice game. You need to project confidence." He brushes some dust off the skeleton's scrappy outfit. "Right. Now let's get that other chain...".
Syl reaches up to release the other pin.

The Zombie Girl sniffles again and wipes her nose on her sleeve. She looks up hopefully at Raevyn, glances over towards Nefire, then back to Raevyn. "You know where my kitties are?" she asks hopefully. "You promise?" She reaches out and up towards Raevyn as if ready to take her hand...
Nefire, still at least partially inspecting the door, sees it would swing in to this room and thus she cannot open it until the lil zombie gal moves out of the way. She doos see a doorknob on it and underneath a keyhole but whether the door is locked or not is impossible to tell without trying it. ((Or, I guess, otherwise inspecting it perhaps.))
Krumar finds himself elbowed away from the first skeleton he approaches with his hat out and shoved away by the next in the circle of players. He's been shoved away much more harshly in his time but, damnit, skeleton elbows are pointy!
Syl fully releases the hanging skeleton and it rests it's weight, as sleight as it is, a bit as it gets down and to it's feet. Skeleton expressions are... limited... But it is not so much gratefulness Syl thinks he sees upon the skeleton's face so much as it is humor.
In the dice game Dabbert currently has a roll of 7 total on his first two dice with four more six-sided dies besides him. All the skeletons in the game are looking at him with an eerie patience though, perhaps Jaylan is getting a bit antsy? "I think you need to roll again or pass the dice?" Jaylan says a bit nervously, unsure if he is right or not.
"Oh uh...yeah. I think you're right." Dabbert says, making a whole show of how silly he feels. He reaches up and slaps his forehead, then picks up his dice again and gives them a long, elaborate shake. "Well here goes! Twelve baby!"
He throws his dice and it lands with six dots facing up.
"Well damn, wouldn't you know it?" He says, reaching over to slap the closest skeleton on the shoulder. Then he looks at Jaylan. "A thirteen. Really is an unlucky number, huh?"
Dabbert keeps a dumb look on his face as he grins at the skeletons...
Nefire looks to Raevyn to see where she is going to go with this. Taking her out of this room to see the mess of kitty bones in the next room would probably not go over very well. She decides to try and change the subject, "Do you know you're in a great tall tower? Have you been here long?"
She sees that Syl has released the crazed looking skeleton from the wall and keeps one eye on what is going on there, holding her axe steady.
The skeletons in the dice game soundlessly celebrate. They each take their wagers back, as does Jaylan, and one reaches in from of Dabbert and takes the gold he had set in front of him. This skeleton slips the gold into a seemingly empty coin purse and then fishes out ten silver, keeping two for himself and passing two each to all the other bettors. (1 gold deducted from Dabbert, 2 silver added to Jaylan.) The skeleton to Dabbert's left then holds out their boney hand expectantly...
Zombie girl takes Raevyn's hand (if Rae allows) and waits patiently to be brought to her kittens. "Your drawing is nice," the girl says sweetly with her big eyes looking up to Raevyn. "But I see my kitties with their fur on."
"Noooooo, silly," the girl says as she turns to look at Nefire. "Towers have all kinds of floors and cellars and stuff. We just have... here."
Raevyn's head quirks to the side at the little girl's responses. Her perspective was different than theirs. The cats have hair and their space appeared confined. Intriguing. Whether it meant something, or not was undetermined, however was still something the Doctor would note. She'd acknowledge Nefire's look with an assuring nod. The least she was trying to achieve was to clear the young zombie girl from the door. The rest would be out of further curiosity and information gathering.
"Thank you." Raevyn would nod to the little girls compliment, accepting her hand to see where this could lead. "What colour fur do your kitties have?" She'd continue to engage the young girl to keep her talking and sharing as she'd try to guide her across the room, casually at their own pace. "So do you just spend time in this room with these individuals?" Rae gestures to the gambling circle of skeletons, then the one Syl's busying himself with freeing.
Syl rummages around in his pockets until he finds a single gold piece. "Now, I wouldn't do this for just anyone, but I have to say, I think we have really hit it off here." He flips the coin to the newly freed skeleton. "I think you've got a real future ahead of you, my good man. Let this coin be the seed from which your fortunes grow. And always say good things about your old pal Syl, at least until this doomed world comes crashing down around us."
"Now go get 'em, champ."

"Bella yellow with white on the tip of her tail. Nala and Willow are twins, Nala is black and Willow is white. Mittens is all patchy. Calico, I think it is called?" the zombie girl rattles off before looking up at Raevyn to see if she had the word right. The girl then continues to rattle off names and description ad nauseam. ((Your DM is NOT going to remember all the names, none the less connect them to descriptions and personalities and such! Not doing it!! Let's just agree the girl knows her kitties and will endlessly prattle on about them?)). The Zombie Girl is easily lead towards the other end of the room...
As Raevyn and ZG are reaching the area between the dice game and the formerly hanging skeleton, Syl has just released said skelly and is now handing over a gold coin and some life advise to their newest friend. Or fiend? The Hanged Skeleton, still giving off a sense of mirth and amusement, also seems confused for a second. As the coin is placed in his hand he looks at each wrist and finds no more shackles. He turns back to the wall for a look at where he hung for uncounted days, then turns back to Syl and stares at him for a moment. Then the bones seem to shrug and the skeleton laughs, or at least Syl thinks he hears a laugh as the skeleton starts running to the southern entrance to the room...
---
We're kind of in initiative now with the Hanging Skeleton taking off running for the southern entry since it may cause a reaction so:
Syl - You could take an Opportunity Attack if you wished.
Dabbert, Jaylan and Krumar - You are all paying attention to the dice game but you do notice the formerly Hanging Skeleton start running out of the room.
Raevyn - You likely heard a bit of a chuckle as well though. You can roll a perception check to see if you can tell it came from the skeleton? Since the assumption would be crazy Syl... Let's say DC 13. You also obviously see the skeleton run.
Nephire - I think you were trying to keep an eye on Syl but are further away since I believe you are more interested in the door than humoring Zombie Girl? DC 17 to see if you even hear the faint chuckle (unless I am wrong and you want to be sticking with Rae and ZG?) and then the same DC 13 to see if you can tell it came from Skelly and not Syl.
Initiative Order: Jaylan - Raevyn - Skeleton A & C - Nefire - Syl - Skeleton B & D - Hanging Skeleton - Dabbert - Krumar
Syl has an available Attack of Opportunity if he wishes... Otherwise Dabbert, Krumar, Jaylan and Raevyn are up! Are we in combat or...?
Krumar goes around trying to collect some money for his playing and as he gets to the last skeleton who pushes him away he sees Syl release the chained skeleton. Krumar shrieks loudly. "Nooo Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo" He says somewhat like an opera singer pointing at the escaping skeleton.

Syl is amused by the skeleton's reaction and joins in it's laughter. Krumar does his operatic best to ensure everyone sees the Hanged Skeleton is making a break for it. Dabbert, doing his best to keep the dice playing skeletons distracted and occupied is doing just that. By refusing to pass the dice on and keep the game going he has all the skellies in the circle staring and clattering at him. While they may be wordless it is apparent by their gesticulations and the clattering of their bones that they are getting riled... ((Skeleton rolls a 15 to try to slip his hand free. Unsuccessful but getting more and more forceful in it's attempts.))
Jaylan (unless he returns and chimes in personally) remains in the game and is also focusing on Dabbert. "I think you're suppose to pass the dice on," he points out, a little confused at just what Dabbert is up to.
Up next: Raevyn then a couple of the dice game Skells.
