"Wonderful!" Shugo exclaims when the lunch bell rings, "Just point me in the right direction."
Turning back to Huzar he shrugs, "I have no idea. I never went to a monastery, my path has been passed down from generation to generation in my family."
The guide points you all towards the dining hall, and students are already starting to crowd in. Once you get you're meals, a simple bowl of stew, a slice of bread, a glass of milk, and a bowl of sliced fruit, what do the four of you do?
Huzur eats quietly with the others while thinking.
"I don't know what to make of this place," Huzur finally says. "I feel like this is all being laid out for us but they're not telling us what this is really going to cost."
He turns to watch the other students at other tables, watching them while they eat.

Nargun looked at the food dubiously, settling for using the bread as a utensil to scoop up the stew, " Wish they had some sambal and rice."
Miko watches Nargun scooping stew and follows her example. She chews slowly, working over the new flavors with closed eyes and seems to decide she likes it. She nods at Huzur's observation.
"They tell us much, but explain very little," she says around a mouthful of fruit. "That must be for a purpose."
Miko takes some time to look around, specifically for any instructors or students. Does all this appear normal to them? Was Headmaster Librath's welcome customary or did it cause a stir? Anything else stand out in the room?
As soon as Shugo's food is in front of him, he starts shoveling it into his mouth. He eats so ravenously, one might guess that he hasn't eaten in days. He doesn't take much notice to his surroundings, but between mouthfuls he responds to Huzar. "Eh...feels more like they talked this place up expecting us all to be dumbstruck when we got here. I mean seriously if the teacher's don't even know the whole monastery...and some of them don't even know what this universal knowledge is... Hmmm...do you think we've been scammed? None of them seem to be able to give us any kind of strait answer." His sentences are broken up due to the fact that he keeps putting more food in his mouth. Once he finishes his first serving, he attempts to get more. If he can't, then he will eye his companions plates.

Miko, your peception does not fail you. You see something taht very few of the students see, and it's that Professor Libreth is actually in a corner of the room, watching over the gathering, all the while sipping out of a cup in his hand, his cane in the other.

You get a second serving, but the server seems a bit awestruck that you've finished you're meal so fast.
Suddenly, you all are suddenly hearing the sounds of excitement, and when you turn your heads over to where the commotion was, you all see that another monk, a young human, is showing off by balancing a plate on his finger, and a cup was balancing on top of the plate, not to mention that he was balancing a broom on the back of his heel. What do you do?
Shugo looks up from his almost finished second helping to see what all the commotion is about. The young elf's expression doesn't change even after catching sight of the show off. Returning to his food, he continues shoveling it into his mouth, though his eyes stay on the other monk.
With a slight flick of his fingers, he casts Minor Illusion. Using this spell, he creates the sound of a deep, low, irritated voice saying "HEY" right next to the Human's ear.

Shugo, once you casted the spell, the human balancing the objects suddenly jumped up, and the foot he was balancing on tipped him off, and he went stumbling off the table, all the while knocking a blue dragonborn's plate away and splashing a hill dwarf with it.
"Hey! I was eating that!" the dragonborn said, while the hill dwarf, who was splashed by the plate shouted angrily, "Why you! These clothes are new! I outta beat the hell out of you!"
The two stand up, ready to fight the human, who was able to stand up in time toe be able to defend themselves, when quite suddenly it looked as if Professor Libreth came out of no where. He stood in between the trio and calmly said, all the while holding a mug in his hand and his cane in the other, "No, you certainly will not do so."
The hill dwarf and the human knew enough to leave it at that, but the blue dragonborn was either too stubborn, or too prideful, or too stupid, or maybe all three, because the dragonborn growled, "Really? And what is a elf like yourself gonna do about it?"
The blue dragonborn certainly was big, and had about half a foot of height over the elf, and had much more mass then the elf.
Professor Libreth sipped his cup and said, "That depends. But first tell me, you follow the Way of the Ascendent Dragon, right?"
The dragonborn nodded, and snarled, "What's it to you?"
Professor Libreth simply didn't answer, and you see the dragonborn snarl, obviously angered at the elf's silence, and he then did what possibly could have been a grave mistake.
The blue dragonborn's fists both become envolped in electricity, and he then attempted to hit Professor Libreth with a jab and a hook to his face, but the elf moved with grace and agility that not even the four of you were able to see him move, until we stopped behind the dragonborn, and Professor Libreth then said, "Way of the Ascendent Dragon is powerful, certainly, but like all Way's it has a weakness."
The dragonborn reeled around to attack, but was hit by Professor Libreth's cane in his stomach, and the dragonorn went sprawling to the ground, but when the the dragonborn stood back up, it found out that it couldn't summon any of it's monk abilities. The dragonborn snarled at the elf, "What did you do?!"
The elf sipped his mug, which not even a single drop had spilled out, and replied, "My friend, i pressed a force point in your body. It's like pressure points, but it is instead for you're ki system, ths preventing you from using any of your monastic ways. You see, you're monastic tradition is more of a attacker way. However, the more powerful and destructive a monastic tradition is, the easier it is to tell where a ki point is."
His words intrigue the four of you. What do you make of this?
"Being able to stop an opponent from being able to fight without having to cause harm is admirable," Huzur says to the others. "But is there any value if you're not engaged in conflict with another monk?"
He watches the dragonborn for a few moments longer.
Shugo laughs, "Haha! That was brilliant! I must learn how to do that!" Even if that doesn't work on anyone but another monk, it would still be a valuable skill to have...especially when dealing with family members...He sets his empty plate down and looks at Huzar, "I suppose we will have to find out. Perhaps there are different techniques for dealing with different classes of fighting...Hmmmm it would be interesting if there were a way to block a paladin's connection to their god, or a warlock's connection to their patron wouldn't it?" He stands up, "Well I think I'm going to have a nice chat with the headmaster."
With that, he starts walking over to Libreth. He approaches from behind the dragonborn, "Well now, wasn't that something! Perhaps you should learn when and where are the right times to pick fights and when you should just leave things be!" He says to the blue brute with his usual smile. Stepping around the fallen dragonborn, he squints up at the headmaster, "Might I ask if that technique will be taught to us student's? Well, those of us who can be trusted not to abuse it anyway...."
Professor Libreth sipped his mug, and simply responded, "Seeing as how you are still only on a first year status, teaching you such a technique would not do very much. It is usually only taught to a select few who have been here and gained a three-year status. However, even then learning the technique is a strenuous task, and a extremely difficult one. One of my students, who was a prodigy, was unable to master this technique for 30 years."
At the professor's dismissive pronouncement, Huzur loses some interest in the exchange with the young dragonborn monk and goes back to finishing his meal.
"Wonderful!" Shugo exclaims when the lunch bell rings, "Just point me in the right direction."

Huzur does sniff at the food as well. His past guiding his suspicions.
Using his knowledge of poisons, Huzur examines the food in his bowl more closely (19 not sure what skill to use here).

Huzur, you aren't able to find anything harmful in the stew
You get a second serving, but the server seems a bit awestruck that you've finished you're meal so fast.
Nargun shrugs, " We will see what we see. If nothing else its good to get away once in a while and recharge ones spirit."

Huzur watches the young monk balancing the dishes and broom for a moment and frowns.
He then looks around to see what the instructors think of this display.
"I don't think this peacock is getting enough exercise," Huzur says before going back to finish his meal.
Shugo looks up from his almost finished second helping to see what all the commotion is about. The young elf's expression doesn't change even after catching sight of the show off. Returning to his food, he continues shoveling it into his mouth, though his eyes stay on the other monk.

(Trying to give the other players a chance to answer. Also I'm a bit slow due to it being finals week.)
At the professor's dismissive pronouncement, Huzur loses some interest in the exchange with the young dragonborn monk and goes back to finishing his meal.
Nargun listened to the conversation but had nothing to add noting that the teachers here were far less....forceful ....than her own.
