"I wouldn't want to go into the Observatory now, what with all the guards having both swords and orders to keep us out. I figure they can only keep the place locked for so long before they wrap up, so we could probably go in a few days to find anything they missed. 'Til then..." Hulrus ponders the options for investigation, and seemingly gets a bit lost in the smell of the smoke from Jimvor's pipe for a bit while he's at it. "I dunno. Don't think any students will have seen much more than you, so that's not the way to go. Where else could we look?"
Something that Jimvor said retroactively reaches Hulrus. "Hang on, wasn't the person the party was for a necromancer? And you said there was a bunch'a necromantic juices in the air? Maybe whats-his-face wanted to end his 10th year with a big spell of some sort. One that he had to get peoples in cloaks to steal."

Hin takes all of this in very slowly. He had been thinking. Hard. Getting out a small, leather bound book and conjuring a black feathered quill from thin air, he jots down some notes and listens to Hulrus' and Jimvor's conversation with great interest. "Do you know if the people that stole the scroll were affiliated with Aramil and the person he was with? Because I wouldn't be surprised if the two just wanted..." He pulls an uncomfortably ambiguous face again, squinting his eyes and twisting his lips to one side, as he thinks of how to say the next bit politely. "Some alone time, so to speak. They could have just been at the wrong place, wrong time." Tapping his quill on the page of his book again, he sighs. "And I have a thought. Frankly, I'm itching to go inside the Observatory to take a look at all this for myself, and I'm not sure I can wait however long it'll take for the guards to go away to do something about it. Maybe we could try sneaking into the Observatory?"

"No, the only thing sure I can tell you is that they all four end up in the same area. I cannot tell if they were together or not. By the way, did someone saw Aramil since then? I did not." Jimvor continues to think while packing up his book in his leather bag. "I agree with visiting the Observatory, at a time when there is less guards maybe."
After going about everyone's daily activities; Mythe meeting her friend, Naivara, and Kaelen waiting at a distance while they speak. And Hin, Hulrus, and Aodh visiting the observatory itself and eventually traveling to the hall of divination, where they met their other towermate, Jimvor. You all find your way back to your tower.
Here you can all regroup and discuss anything you've learned with each other, but ultimately, you find yourselves in bed and fast asleep. Kaelen, you make significant progress on your project.
You all wake in your beds, to a silent tower and a new morning full of classes.
Before everybody leaves for classes, Hulrus gets their attention and makes sure that everything he knows about the party and the Observatory is shared with the whole tower. The guards, the scroll theft, the necromantic aura, and Aramil's suspicious behavior. He also posits the idea of doing some investigating of a more direct nature after classes. No better place to look than where the event actually happened, after all.
It's pretty clear that the dwarf doesn't want to leave the situation to be handled by the academy itself. The unclear part is if it's because of curiosity, boredom, a feeling of duty to the academy, a want for a practical use of his spells, or a mix of them all.

Kaelen wakes up the next day rubbing his eyes from a long night of working on his project. A smile on his face as he just pulls on a plain blue shirt and pants, his arcane focus floating around him. He just walks down grabbing a cup of coffee and a breakfast of eggs and bacon. As Hulrus talks about what happened over breakfast his face, as usual, is in a book. He just remains quiet waiting to see what the others will do with this information as he raises the cup of coffee to his lips.
Hin is lazy in his morning routine. The third to wake up. He's shifted again, slapping themselves to get rid of the last remnants of sleep from his her now round, and fair, freckle-less face. Standing a little smaller than she would in her half-elf form, she clomps down the stairs in a pair of sensible black heeled boots, with a pair of high-waisted black jhodpurs tucked into them. She wears a linen shirt on top of it all, with her spellbook clipped into the belt around her waist. Her hair is a mess. Now red, longer, and more reddish than the brown, curly mass she was wearing the day before, it sticks up in a few places as she hasn't bothered to brush it. "Morning..." she yawns, moving across the kitchen and serving herself a plate of the eggs and bacon that Kaelen got to eat as well. She also pours herself a glass of water from the kitchen tap. After Hulrus has finished recapping what they have learned so far to whoever's there, she drinks the entire glass of water and sets the glass down on the table with a sigh. "So great, we're all caught up. There's only one question I have now: Who wants to break into the Observatory later with me?"
Kaelen turns for a moment to look at the newcomer, unaccustomed to Hin's changing appearance "Um...no miss I don't think we planned to do that...are you a new towermate?"
Hin sighs, chuckling a bit. "No, it's Hin. Did you not catch me shifting earlier...? I'm a changeling." They wave their hand in front of their face, their head changing between their half-elf, tabaxi, and human forms every time their arm passes in front of their head. "Yesterday, when you came back here after our classes, Hulrus, Jimvor, Adoh, and I went to check out the Observatory and tried to find out what is going on over there. We do have a new Towermate, but it's not me." She takes a bite of her eggs and continues. "We talked about it a bit while over there, and---correct me if I'm wrong, Hulrus, Jimvor---but it seems there's some interest in checking out the inside of the Observatory ourselves. And soon."

"Yup, pretty much. We can't be sure what the academy's investigators will miss, or what they'll find but not know what to do with. Doing somethin' ourselves has gotta be the safest option, really." Hulrus puts on his backpack and starts to head in the direction of the door. "But all that should prolly come after classes. We can all meet up by the Observatory then, and discuss the plan."

Making a noise between a squeal and a sharp yell, Hin shovels the rest of her breakfast into her mouth and cleans her plate as fast as she can. "You're right, we have classes. Speaking of, I am going to be late. I will see you all in just a little bit," she cries over her shoulder as she bounds out the door, clasping her ginormous navy cloak around her shoulders on her way out.

Kaelen looks at Hin "No sorry I should've known. I just wasn't expecting you to come down looking different. I must have missed you just shifting earlier, it's a downside of constantly having my face in a book. Really sorry."
He just stands up as Hin begins to leave thinking about what they said related to the observatory "I am also going to be late for my class."
