Out of game, Evan, what is the AOE spell you have on the map?
Helpful reminder0- in your turn you have action, bonus action, and movement, and you can say something. (also in some cases you can take a reaction). You can dash to move as an action. Taking the Dash action gives you additional movement, equal to your speed, for the current turn.
If you move, move your token in the map. Please make your rolls in the game log to the right of the map.
If you are attacking an enemy, say which one it is relative to your character, "five squares from Bubri at 1:00"

I BELIEVE if you make the roll on your character sheet, even if you don't have the map open, it will post to the game log on the map. I'm like 92% on that.
Sensing that we have the upper hand against this zombie in front of us, Reed corners the zombie, blocking off its retreat. With the Blade of Fathoms (trademark pending) in hand, he slashes at the zombie to finish it off:
Attack: 15+5 = 20 to hit
Damage (if hits): 5+2 = 7 piercing damage
With his Bonus Action, he commands the eldritch tentacle he summoned earlier to join him by his side, also attacking the same zombie for good measure:
Attack: 19+6 = 25 to hit
Damage: 5+3 = 8 cold damage (plus the zombie's speed is reduced by 10 ft)
INVESTIGATION CHECK TO SEE IF I NOTICED WHERE CAPTAIN BASTIAN WENT: 17 +0 = 17!
The zombie gets picked up by the tentacle and slammed back down to the ground, finally lying motionless, it croaks its last croak.
Reed: looking around, you know that the Captain had disappeared into thin air roughly two minutes ago. you search the ground, and see one streaked footprint of the captain's boot facing roughly 12:00.
Bastian you're up, Bubri you're on deck. Bastian you are currently invisible.
I'll be heading out of town for a long weekend. If I am able to get to the game via joe's computer I'll make some intermittent comments. Everyone enjoy your weekend!
"Okay, I cannot get the VTT to work for me and therefore cannot see the map (the old discord screen shot doesn't include the house i'm in either) SOOOOO, despite my heart wanting to stay and investigate further, upon hearing the sounds of my crew in battle, I'm going to dash to get closer to them. Preferably threading the needle between zambos so I don't take an attack of opportunity, headed to the cluster of Bubri, Reed, and Ort by the tree."
HI Bastian, you had turned invisible, gone into a mausoleum, found a hidden switch on one of the 3 coffins, moved the lid of the coffin aside revealing stairs leading down. you went down the stone steps within the coffin to a large earthern chamber, with two different levels. from the upper level, you had seen two large whitish spiders and alot of spider webbing blocking further movement down. you chose to then come back up the stairs into the mausoleum. the coffin stairs are still open behind you.
With a high perception check, Bastian notices a faint breeze coming up from the coffin stairs. With scents of opium smoke, grave soil, mouldering leather, and just the slightest hint of some herbs that Bubri's family uses in crafting healing potions.
@maren: I believe that is Spirit Guardians. Also, I don't see my Spirit Weapon on the map. Did it die? If it's around, I want it to move toward the nearest zombie that isn't in the Spirit Guardian zone, and attack it (hit 16, damage 11)
I'll then move behind Ort, and Ready an Action to cast Cure Light Wounds on whoever gets injured next: Ort, Rusty, or Basian. (if it's reasonable that I move over to them when that happens. )
Bastian- reed is at 55/72 and ort is at 69/93. whom do you choose to heal? Please roll for your cure light wounds. THere's a zombie at 10:00 and a zombie at 12:00, which would you prefer to hit with spiritual weapon? ALso what does your weapon look like?
Spell is "shape of light: sunlight" from Sina Una: creates a 5ft sphere of bright light for 30 feet, 15 foot radius starting turn or entering requires con save, failure takes 3d8 radiant and is blinded, success half that and not blinded.
Lets amend my Held Action to CLW on whoever is attacked next.
spiritual weapon will go for zombie at 12:00
cure light wounds roll is for 13hp when it resolves
Bubri you move next to Reed and Ort. your spiritual weapon moves to the zombie between you and the mausoleum and slashes, doing some fair damage to it.
Bubri, as you shout, Radiant Sunlight erupts from the ground, and two zombies caught in the light begin to disintegrate. Parts of their decaying flesh seem to be converted to pure sunlight and move upward through the branches of the graveyard tree. This particular type of radiant damage seems to do extra damage to them.
The teal zombie lunges towards reed and swipes a hand at him, (rolled nat 20 for 23) doing 8 damage. then goes in for a bite attack, rolled a 19, biting Reed on his arm for 2 damage.
The second yellow zombie lunges towards Reed as well, rolled a 17 which hits for 4 damage, and tries to bite his OTHER ARM, but misses with a nat one, and falls forward to one knee.
Reed is at 41/72.
Bubri's held action (Cure Light wounds) kicks into gear healing Reed for 13hp., Reed is now at 54/72
Many other zombies stumble towards the party. Some move through the sunlight patch, becoming partially disintegrated, but still somehow, inexplicably moving forward. Their hunger for flesh unabated.
LAIR ACTION: Earth piles mound up, as new zombies emerge from their graves.
Guys... GUYS! There's too many of them and more keep popping up! We need to get out of here and get to cover. What about that building up there? (He points to his 11 oclock, to the big building where there don't seem to be zombies hanging around it)
As he runs north he catches up with Honey, hopping on his back and moving as far as he can get he spins back, standing on Honey's shoulders, and fires his crossbow twice at the zombie that's just to the left of Reed's tentacle, trying to clear some space for his crew. His first shot is lined up perfectly, crossbow tucked neatly into his shoulder and he feels the bolt leave the string with a quiet twang, happy to be on it's way. However, the second shot he is distracted, as more piles of earth start opening up around them!

OOC: I just looked back at all the combat rounds and the only thing he has used was Spirit Weapon each time.

Dashing you can move sixty feet while maintaining invisibility. You end up between ort and Reed.

First to Hit is a 24 for 14 damage.
Second to Hit is a 12 for 9 damage.
I indicated the shot with a blue line.
