"Hey, slow down. I know things got heated in there, but we need you. Right now we need to know who's in charge of this town...and if the answer's no one, then by default it's us. And we need to know before Brak splits open that Dwarf and Jennlin starts playing with the pieces."
The Half-Elf slaps the Saytr on the bicep and shoots him a smile, "Time to start earning that Secretarian pay."
"Dran Enterprises wouldn't pay to get me back. If I ever return, it'll be hard enough to recover my rank after failing, why would they pay for me? Where's the profit?"
”Well if Dran doesn’t see the value in a willful to kill employee such as yourself, what about flipping to Aquisitions. We’re just getting our wheels on the ground so to speak, paperwork, establish a network, so on and so on... I value my employees, what do you think? Of course it’s not my decision alone but what do you say Drans willing to dump ya not us.”
"Kit, I can go out with John and we can do some market research. That dwarf is too proud to talk, so we are just wasting air." Tully is still clutching his sword on his hilt and it is radiating a sickish green color.
Tully will walk up to John, "I need your help, where is the local government? Here we should talk to whoever is in charge to broker a deal."

Kit eyes the sword with curiosity but doesn't comment.
"Good plan. I'll stay here and try to keep the others from doing anything too drastic while you're out."
Jennlin eventually wanders over out back, sticking to whatever shadows she could, her hands lightly stained with blood. "The dwarf give us anything useful? No? Maybe his insides will then."She started to pull her short sword out and then stopped. "Oh we already have swords out. Does Tully need help...where are they going?" She looked at the dwarf slightly and began sucking the blood off her fingers like one licks a good sauce off after eating.

"I would never work for Acquisitions Incorporated. Dran Enterprises is far superior. Besides, I signed a magically binding contract stipulating I would never work for a rival company."

"Are you not paying attention? The local government walked out the door about two minutes ago."
"We are not killing anyone,"Kit turns to the Dwarf ominously, "yet."
"Tully's going to find out who's in charge here and we're turning him over to the proper authorities. We are NOT recruiting wanton killers. Everyone just take a deep breath, go get some breakfast, and we'll sort this out once Tully gets back."
"Gill, hey we wanted to know where we should take prisoners. We still have a dwarf who is uninterested in changing his ways and has no remorse for killing a fellow so we wanted to follow the rules of the land. Also, do you know where these Dran folks like to hang out in the town?"

Gill left the tavern a minute or two ago and you don't know where he could be. Make a perception check.
"Are you not paying attention? The local government walked out the door about two minutes ago."
"Wait, what...the farm boy?"
"The person who was able to, on behalf of the entire town, entrust you with this tavern?"
"Oh, I just thought he was acting as the executor of...what's his name's will. We should probably figure out his name since he was nice enough to leave us the bar. I mean...not that he had much of a choice, but still."
‘The Orange Grung Tavern’ HQ for Acq. Inc. Gill a local farmer. Ol Graham a local sage. Dran Enterprises dwarf employee. escaped Kobold Dran Employee. gnolls at the farms. sahuagin at the docks. What’s our agenda for this evening fellow co-workers?
"In my opinion, we need to get things settled with these Dran folks first, before that sorcerer shows up with reinforcements. If there's no one to turn this Dwarf over to then we need to have a trial and a public execution. Makes a point to locals and might draw Dran out into the open."
"I suppose I will attempt to fix this place up somewhat while you do whatever with the dwarf," John declares, "But first I must give you your gear and some information about your roles."
Cartographer: Grogan
He hands you cartographer’s supplies, a waterproof leather map case, a spyglass, a supply of colored inks, and a book on cartography. Studying it will grant you proficiency in cartographer's tools, and your choice of land, water, or air vehicles. Additionally, you are granted permission to lease a draft horse or cart, or gain passage on a ship, with the expenses paid by Head Office. Although, overuse of this ability will not be looked upon fondly by Head Office.
Hoardsperson: Brakoba
He hands you a set of jeweler's tools and a book on economics and profitable trade, if you read it you will gain proficiency with jeweler's tools, and gain knowledge of a trade network that you can use to buy one item found on any table in the “Mounts and Vehicles” or “Trade Goods” sections in chapter 5 of the Player’s Handbookand have it delivered to your franchise headquarters within one day. With a successful DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion) check, you also negotiate a 50 percent discount on the item.
If you fail the check, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest. When you use this feature successfully twice, you cannot use it again until Head Office grants your franchise an extended licensed region.
Loremonger: Leif
He hands you a book on various subjects that others might consider boring. Reading and studying it will grant you your choice of proficiency: one type of artisan's tools, navigator's tools, or land, water, or air vehicles. Also, he gives you a whisper jar, which you can use to record voices as an action, or playback any voices that have been recorded as an action. It's a fantasy audio recorder.
Obviator: Kit
He gives you a set of alchemist's supplies, a book on alchemy granting you proficiency with them, a hunting trap, and a vial of acid. Also, if you read the book, you gain the ability to attempt to get a reading on one creature you can see, trying to learn useful information about it. As a bonus action, make a DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check. On a success, you learn three details of your choice about the creature. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. You can use this feature only once on any creature.
Occultant: Jennlin
He gives you a set of cook's utensils, a book on recipies and principles of cooking granting proficiency with them, five waterproof pouches to hold trophies from your fallen enemies, and an occultant abacus. Over a period of 1 minute, you can study a creature killed by someone in your franchise within the last 24 hours, then grant the character who slew it a d10. Once within the next hour, that character can add the d10 to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. If it’s not clear who administered the killing blow, you grant this benefit to a random creature involved in the fight. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Secretarian: Tully
He gives you a gaming set, a book on strategy for the game that will grant you proficiency with it, a collection of sales brochures, a set of business cards, a metal bell, and a set of fine clothes. He also grants you use of an Acquisitions Incorporated sending stone, an uncommon magic item that resembles a gemstone in a bold setting. It functions like a normal sending stone, except that it has no matching stone and allows communication with Head Office, specific secretarians you know, and the secretarian nearest your location. You must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check to establish contact. Once the stone is successfully used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.
Making contact with another secretarian assumes that they are in possession of their own sending stone.
You do not know any specific secretarians, but you can of course communicate with Head Office using it.
“Thanks John”. Leif puts the earpiece in and starts listening while simultaneously leafing through reading his new manual. Leif has a huge smile on his face. Bully becomes visible sitting cross legged on Nero’s back, “Well I guess I’ll have to lead him around now.”
Grogan whistles at the spyglass. "Would you look at that. Them darn things worth more then a barrel of holy water. Let's see what other goodies we got here. A map case I see, but empty. Should have figured that I guess. Wait I have make the maps to put in this thing? I knew thing were going to good after getting my dome dented by that half orc yesterday."
Walking over to to Leif, "Hey Bully boy, be a good lad and gather the crew. We need a team meeting over what needs to done and what our priorities are. We just got this bar/ headquarters/ prisoner and the like and we need some figurins."

My perception check was 22. John can give me my stuff after I talk to Gil.
Jennlin immediately walks off with the abacus and begins sliding things around with an odd smirk on her face.
"That's probably not a good thing," Kit says with a concerned look to the others, "is it?"
