"Agreed. I suggest we wait for Fiske's Pseudodragon's scouting results first to better understand the terrain up there and what manner of creature we are facing?"
"Anyone particularly stealthy? Tommy.. If you'd like I could hide in my ring like when we fought the bandits, pop out when ready to attack if we want to try to surprise them. We can even plan a further distraction." Fiske thinks for a moment, "who's to say they haven't just assumed us dead or maimed though hehe. Logically, that could make sense."
Muriel with a 19 you see the 2 humans standing by the cave entrance looking down the slope. They appear to be well armed and armored. Above the cave the there are no trails it would be a climb to go higher if we avoided the cave.
Fiske with an 11 you see the bandits move back into rhe cave seemly satisfied. You can't see into the cave due to the dim light. Horatio can't see anymore enemies but does see a cave higher up the mountain that has a trail that leads further up. The terrain leading up to the cave is a steep slope but hikeable.
Everyone can see we are in a wash with steep ridges to either side going around could be possible but we would have to back track to the swamp and circle around.
Tommy. "I'm stealthily sure. Is the play to have the 3 of us sneak up with Fiske in the ring. Have the less sneaky of the group come up behind after the cave entrance is secured? Or at least when we can ensure nomore landslides?'
To.my just beat their Passive Perception. The 4 of use with Fiske in tow hike up to the cave. The guards have since moved inside. At the Landing there is a campfire burnt out and a 5 large rocks around it. With our Passive investigation as a group. There is evidence of high volume traffic that suggests a large group of bandits are with in"
Tommy in a whisper "looks like we have the advantage they think we are dead. Shall we bring the others up?"
Tommy waves to the other to join the group. Then send Birdie to scout the potential climb.
Once the party is together again and Birdie has given his report.
"So looks like we have two option we fight out way through the caverns to the next trail or we climb. If someone is good at climbing Birdie says there is a good Anchor point we could fix a rope to on the next landing or.... Tommy turns to Fiske can your imp carry and tie a rope?
The other option is more dangerous not knowing how many are inside but the promise of more loot outside a Dragon's Hoard is possible"
Fiske thinks for a moment nodding along. "Well we kill the dragon, the bandits might disperse anyways no? Best we be as close to full strength as possible... Horatio is currently a little dragon, but if I focus enough and you give me some time I can change his form. Are we good with waiting for the spell to be complete? We can rest up while I do this."
The exhausted Hadrian took some time to get back to the group. His heavy armor and equipment slowing him further.
"Let's not do that again. But how do we sneak up against that group that caused the landslide?"
"We'd have to come from the sides and go to the left and right a distance away and then come from the sides perhaps my friends."
Xan looks over the terrain to see if that is even possible. If not, "I think we just have to spread out if there is no other way to the caves."
"Whatever is up there I saw two and if they could pick up a big rock. IT must be big. Think about that as we proceed."

Muriel raises her hand and says, "Stealth is my specialty."
Jetsam shrugs. “I can sneak if I need to.”
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.

Xan
Xan replies, "Sounds good to me...I'll stay with less sneaky of the group. Although I'm not horrible at it either."

“Exactly… we secure the spot then the rest come in before our enemies know what hits them. At least that’s the hope.”
Fiske will hand his ring to Tommy and hop into it whenever the group is ready to go
Ok let's have everyone going up roll stealth.
Tommy stealth: 13
Jetsam stealth: (disadvantage from my armor should be cancelled out by my boots of elvenkind) 21
As we head up, Jetsam will have his crossbow ready and loaded with a +1 bolt.
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Muriel will keep her spear at the ready as she follows behind Jetsam
Stealth: 17
Stealth:6

Hadrian brings up the rear of the group with a huff and loud klinking noises.
"Sorry, I hike up a mountain like a snail dragging his house around... and I wish I sound like a turtle too."
"Stealth and climbing is just not my skillset. Just point me where we need the pointy ends at."
