Elsara finds them hiding in a nearby bush.

Skriiod stands up and snarls as fire seeps from the corners of his mouth. "YOU DARE OBSTRUCT JUSTICE? YOU DARE TO TRY AND DECEIVE THE LAW BY LYING TO OUR FACE, IF YOU DO NOT COME FROM YOUR HIDING SPOT, I WILL SHOW YOU THE WRATH OF BAHAMUTS JUSTICE AND BURN THE GROUND WITH HIS WRATHFUL FIRE!" Skriiod shouts loudly as he steps towards the forest.

Skiirod runs into the forest and bumps into Elsara. You find the couple. Also, they didn't hear your intimidating speech so they weren't intimidated (Your speech was intimidating but you rolled an 8 so...)

(Skiirod can just follow Elsara, she isn't being subtle)

"Mister Skiirod, that's very rude." Elsara says, coming over to the couple. "It's okay to come out, the grumpy dragonborn won't hurt you. I'll make sure."

Persuasion: 9

"We... We didn't do anything wrong" Says the man as the couple comes out of the bush. "Why are you after us?"

Skriiod snorts and looks at the pair, not very happy with their lies but he knows that she is the person they are looking for. "I am sorry lady Elsara, I connot stand those that stand in the way of the law and the rights of Justice." Skriiod says as he looks at them, he will but his weapons down by his side.

"We're not after you." Elsara replies, helping them out of the both. "We're looking for Franklin Abedail's daughter. She got kidnapped."

The woman snarls, "Justice? What justice is there in hunting down an innocent girl and her fiancee?" The man adds, "It's not like we hurt anyone. We just want to start a new life together. Why's that against law and justice?"

“But you did something wrong... and you know it. Your eyes tell us. You look like two squirrels fearing the owl and the fox. We have been kind and helpful, and yet you try to evade and fool us. There are goblins nearby that will not treat you so nicely. Just tell us what is clouding your hearts as the strom clouds cover the day.”

"Alright alright." The couple says. Once the group has gathered, the girl tells them their story, "I'm indeed Franklin Abedail's daughter. My real name is Tracey Abedail. This man is from my village. His name is Alan Swan. We are lovers but our parents don't see it. We've been planning to run away together and start a new life in Venoport for months now. We weren't attacked by Goblins. In our rush to leave the village before anyone saw us, we had to leave a lot of our things behind. This is why we don't have anything with us. We honestly don't know why you are hunting goblins and keep saying they kidnapped me." She finishes her story. You can see a shadow of doubt on her face but what she is saying is the truth. The man speaks up, "Like I said, we didn't hurt anyone. Can you let us go now?"

"We work for the guild and your father left a notice up, say you had been kidnapped by Goblins, so that is the reason we asked about goblins. Sorry to have scared you, to thinking we were hunting you down, we are actually looking to rescue you." 

“No “ says Valwarin “At least not like this. “ He starts to unload some of his own gear “Here, you got water and food, and a blanket to cover in the night. You don’t have any weapons with you? Do you know at least to pay attention to the wind to know when it’s going to rain? To ask to the wood to let the fire consume it to heat yourselves? “ the druid gives them those items from his backpack. “Your father loves you Tracey and he has sent word that you were kinadped by goblins. I bet that he is putting all his money as a reward. You two could feel brave right now, facing the wilderness alone, but the true valor is in facing your own fears, like the rabbit does when she ventures out of her den to look for food. If you want to listen to the advice of a elf go back to your home and speak to your families. Tell them that if they don’t have to approve your love, but they had to respect it. Otherwise I fear from you. The wolves and the cougars are always  hunting.”

The girl answers, "Well, I don't need rescuing. I don't know why my father would tell you about Goblins but I'm fine and I've come here of my own free will." The couple gets up. "Please let us be on our way." (This was to Skiirod)

"... Ohhh!" Elsara seems to now realise what is going on. "Well why don't we go with you to see your father and help out? If your father doesn't see it, how can you have a happy ending? Having to leave without the blessings of your father will make you sad eventually."

(Quick, someone with Charisma be the one to talk to them, not the ADD elf-child!)

"What? But happy endings... don't always happen you know." Tracey is confused by Elsara's words. Then she turns to Val and says, "You don't understand. If I go back, I won't be able to be with Alan."

(You don't always need to roll. If you can give a truly convincing argument in RP then it doesn't really matter what you roll. At least to me.)

(Fair enough. I thought I'd put a roll in there in case you'd want them)

(I appreciate that. Speeds things up. Though the argument was good, it wasn't good enough to bypass a roll)

"Why can't you be with one and other if you go back?" 

"I told you. My father doesn't approve of him. He would never let me marry him."
