Val looks to Elsara "It would be safe to take it to study this magic?" then he will concentrate looking at the bones. Is there any creature he could recognize?
No. He can't recognize this because its extinct. The other party members would find similarities with the fossil to the long extinct creature known as the Dragon.
A hundreds of centuries is more than enough time for even a dragon's skeleton to become brittle. Runt can break off those pieces if she wants to (and if the party doesn't stop her) without effort.
OOC: would i be able to take a tooth or claw and make a weapon better than a standard weapon out of it ? like a dragon tooth maul or great-sword or something ?

Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
If you just try to use it as is, it'll break before your enemy does. However, if you spend enough time and resources on researching the properties of the dragon bones and how best to use it, you may get something out of it. Also, the Faerz magic has nothing documented on it except for the fact that it exists. So... using the something like that as a weapon may have unpredictable side-effects (Which may be both good and bad)
"This all feels just wrong... the bones should be put to rest where they can reunite with the Great Mother and complete their Circle. Elsara, do you think that the magic comes form the bones or that weird weapon?
Despite his words he doesn't stop Runt. In fact, if Elshara tells him that the bones are clear, he will take a couple of claws himself, to put to rest under the sn and moon later and let, at least part of it, finish its cicle.
Elsara says that the primary source of the magic is the weapon. However, the bones are also irradiated. (Kind of like how a whole area becomes irradiated when a nuclear bomb goes off)
Seeing the others taking bones, Gendan decides to salvage a tooth from the skeleton. Perhaps she’ll get lucky and fetch a pretty penny for it from a collector or artifact dealer.
Runt takes a couple large teeth and stores them safely. In response to Val she says, I will honor this mighty creatures legacy the best way I know how. Rest assured, child of nature, I intend no disrespect to it.

"Oh I wasn't talked about you, sorry Runt " says Val to his friend " I meant.. " he opens his arms to cover all the room and finally point to the weird weapon " All of this... We all remember what this kind of magic did to that poor woman and his son, right? I think we should keep it out of more dangerous hands than ours... and find a way to get rid of it. So we are suppoused to get the bones to Riggs? I say that you take that weapon and then we take it to the Guild and see how we can get rid of it."
Elsara informs you that the magic covering this room and radiating from the weapon is not the same magic as the one that turned Jay into a foxman. She also informs you that Briggs has Detect Magic and so he might just see that Faerz magic is oozing out from you should you try to hide the weapon.
Val still has a point though since from what you have seen, Faerz magic seems to be extremely dangerous.

The dragon doesn't have mall teeth or claws. You can take a big tooth or nail instead.
