Taking Gendan's and Val's lack of clarification as answer enough, Devarus will nod and mentions, "One last look then for evidence. Trust the rest of you can manage pooling things together for the report and ready the lizards."He says, but would not deny any assistance in searching the upper level of the castle for Jerrick's quarters or onsite office.
(Aside from the above, Devarus is fine with moving on. Do you need any specifics about the report as far as what's given and asked for in the future, or the general idea is clear enough?)

Deva, though you don't find anything in Jerrick's room, you do find a secret passage in the King's room. It leads to a small treasury.
The treasury contains a bunch of gold and valuables. It also has A Ring of Protection, Mithral Half-Plate, Gauntlets of Ogre Strength and Arrows+1 (20)
It has monetary stuff worth of 500 CP, 1600 SP and 100 GP
DMing Question: Anyone have any idea why Ring of Protection is rare when Cloak of Protection is uncommon? I mean both items to the exact same thing.
(Why... oh why oh why oh why did Devarus had to be lawful. I mean, king being dead or not, and the kingdom(city?) effectively defunct without someone to step up, would it be illegal/frowned upon in some fashion to jack it all?)
(Edit: I honestly have no idea why that's the case. Perhaps from a lore perspective its harder to make/easier to conceal, but... eh."
(Did you guys grab Gendan before going in the Kong’s Chamber? Because she would snatch that stuff right up! Ring of Protection is definitely something on Gendan’s wish list! She would suggest teammates take the other stuff.
DM: it’s probably because you can only don one cloak, but you can wear multiple rings?)

(Considering Dev's main goal was anything on Jerrick, or anything related tot he lead up the incident, he would not have gone out of his way to get her, no. That said, if only for the sake of some expediency, Devarus would "confiscate" the items for the time being. But mark them down as something to possibly be returned should Romel, or whoever takes over would be in the right to possess them.
(Because who knows. Maybe some less scrupulous folk discovery the city's situation, and get handsy... yeah.. yeah that works)
(Gendan or someone else can have the ring. But Devarus would keep hold of the gauntlets and armor at the very least, and Val can take the arrows. Unless the whole Druids can wear only leather and dragonscale isn't a thing for this campaign, then just the gauntlets for Dev at least.)

(Got back to a lot of questions so I'm answering all of them.)
Deva, as members of the Guild, you can take any items you find that is not owned by someone else. You are allowed to take mission important items from someone. So if the item doesn't belong to anyone living, you can take it and not have any laws broken. If an item is owned by someone living but it is vital for the completion of the mission, you can still take it and it would not break any laws. As members of The Guild there are a number of laws that don't apply to you. Law against looting is one such law that doesn't apply to you.
As far as I understand of the rules, Druids CAN in fact wear metal armor with no mechanical detriments or restrictions. It's just that other druids will hate them for it and they will be the "uncool" kid. So, if you're the kind of druid who doesn't give a shit about what other druids might think, you are free to wear whatever armor you have proficiency with.
The cloak of protection is a cloak. Cloaks aren't exactly the heaviest things out there. I can easily imagine someone wearing 3 cloaks of protection at once. It's not like it's going to be heavier than plate mail. It's just that it would look uncool. Like how you can dual wield rapiers in this game but no one does that because it looks dumb.
As I see it here is who is more prone to benefit from each object:
Ring of Protection: all
Mithral Half-plate: Devarus
Gauntlets : Devarus or Valwaryn
Arrows: Devarus or Valwaryn.
What happened to the cloak of protection? Didn't Gendan took it? I hope so because if not we are leaving something pretty behind XD
I honestly think that Dev should take both the armor and the gauntlets, we can split the arrows between Val and Dev and we should roll for the cloak and the ring. And the one who wins either don't roll for the other.
As for splitting the loot, I'm going to let you decide what to do with it. I had a plan for who should get what gear but it's up to you to decide (in character or out; doesn't matter) to divide the loot.
(If Val's willing to halfsy on the arrows, that's fine with me. Felt like Dev was already bogarding enough considering he gets the most out of armor and gauntlet already, and would very much like to make use of those.)
(I assume it'll be a flat d20 rolls at least for the ring between the three of you? Whoever gets highest wins?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Dev gets the best benefits of those items and Val uses his now but also turns into beasts and goes to melee so it’s safer to spread the magic arrows just in case :)
About the three us rolling. If Gendan keeps the cloak I would say Runt and Val.
flat d20 it is (no worries the forum hates poor Val ;)

Gendan already has matching gauntlets, dragon plate, and doesn’t use arrows, so the ring would be the only thing to interest her. She wouldn’t back down from casting lots for it. Straight 20: 7
I believe we are
emailingsending a message about what happened here and going to our next job.Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)

Investigation: 4, or 18 if helped.

Result of Deva's checking will depended on whether or not he's helped.
I don't need specifics but I do need to know where you are going to go for sending the mail. Romel's post office?
Val will help Deva for sure.

Runt could make use of the ring, the other stuff would benefit others more.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)
(Why does everyone want the ring so badly? Did I accidentally summon the The Ring from LOTR?)
(Anything that boost both the AC and the ST is cool ;)
What about rolling for it guys? )
PbP Character: A few ;)
(For its rarity level, ring of protection is one of the best items in the game imo)
Om good to roll for stuff. Let fate decide. Runt will auto pass on the gauntlets as she already has 18 strength.
