This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
To be clear, we are not asking you to put down your weapons. We are not asking you to leave yourself defenseless. We are merely asking you to open trade with your neighbors. They have offered the defensive alliance, not that you would lower your own guard, but that you would engage in trade and stop aggressions toward each other.
DM: Gendan already rolled once so she can't roll again. She can still sway the people through dialogue. Like how Val managed to beat a DC25 Persuasion with RP. However, Father Torelgen kind of countered Samuel's arguments so you don't have to worry about him in this meeting. The only other elder left is Elias and he's not here.
The villagers seem unsure. Samuel is still adamant on his opinion that this is a trap and it will be the end of Camenose. A few villagers agree with him. It is obvious that had Father Torelgen and Gabby remained silent, most of the villagers would've sided with the old halfling. Some other villagers were moved by Val's speech and now support the idea that opening trade with the goblins might be a good idea. Though Val's speech should've been convincing, it lacked the energy to sound convincing. Luckily, Gendan supported Val with a words and points of her own. Her words had enough energy to not only make her speech standout but also to compensate for the lack of energy in Val's. As of now, most of the villagers are still undecided. They are discussing what to do among themselves.
(OOG: The time still stands. Unless Skiirod, Gym and Folki says something to the crowd, (or just tell me that they won't do anything during the speech), the game will be moved along at the given time.)
Skriiod steps forwards looking to the crowd. "Villagers, heed my friends words, for as you can see, I as a Paladin of my lord Bahamut stand before you, after battling with the Goblins and their leader it was discovered that when their leader was a young pup he witnessed his own mother being tortured and flayed infront of his own eyes, so you can see where his distrust of humans comes in. And you as villagers have seen the cause of these goblin raids, now just for a second imagine that you didn't have to worry about these goblins raiding you infact, instead of raiding you, they helped in protecting this village and you it's inhabitants from various other goblin and orc tribes, all they ask in return is for you to give them fair trades for goods that they find, this good be a great stepping stone that could lead to a bridge being built between both of your people, just treat them how you yourself would want to be treated. Now I know an isdue that could arise and that is what if another goblin that isn't part of their clan sneaks in and causes injustice among you, it would cause an Issue, well that is simple. You select a person who you all believe to be trustworthy and you have him give these goblins papers, that they can show so ass to get into the village, to a guard or a shop owner they wish to trade with and seeing that it is the paper you all agree on, then there should be no problems. All we ask is you give them a chance like you would any other adventurer, to not judge them for what is on the outside but judge them on the merits they will show to you in the future, let what has happened in the past be buried there and strive to break the bounderies of this world and show everyone that these goblins can be trusted and who knows, this tribe might spread the word of how not all humans are horrible to them and you villagers could spread the word about how not all goblins are bad and changes how each race perceives the other." Skriiod looks around the crowd.
The meeting is over and most of the villagers have left. You are still at the center of the village. The chairs and the pallets are being moved. Father Torelgen and Gabby are standing with you. You brought up very valid points and suggestions in the meeting and have managed to convince 87% of the villagers to give the goblins a chance. The remaining believe in what Samuel said and think the best course of action would be to wipe the goblins out. They can no longer be convinced otherwise. Still, since most of the villagers are on your side, you can consider the meeting a success.
The Father says, "Well done. With how that meeting went, there may be a chance for mutual prosperity yet!" Gabby says, "You guys did it! Now I just need a place to stay." Father Torelgen responds, "You can always stay in my shed." Gabby nods and gives her thanks to the priest.
For my own sake, I calculate it as: Folki's flying speed is the same as everybody else's walking speed on road (6 hours on road). However, when Folki goes off road, instead of taking 12 hours to move between squares, he takes 8 hours. 6 hours because he ignores terrain type and 2 more hours to get his bearings (navigation). This might not be completely logical but this is for balancing and for making things easier to DM.
“Gabby, do you plan to stay in town for a while, or just the one night?”
If one night: “We can help to escort you back to Evans and Elsara when we head back tomorrow.”
If longer: “We will not be able to continue to offer you protection as we will have other business to attend to.”
To the group: “I think we should get a good night’s rest before heading back. I agree with Val , we should visit the eloper’s father to collect on our guild contract before heading back to the goblin den.”
Gabby says, "I should stay in here for a while. Please wait." Gabby gets a piece of parchment from Father Torelgen and writes a letter for the Commander. She hands the parchment to Gendan and says, "Please make sure the commander gets this." She then takes a few steps back and looks at the group. "Can you... do me a favor? When you get your friend back and will probably head off somewhere else... Can you please drop by Camenose one last time and see me?"

A heads up. If no one says or does anything in the campaign, I will move on at 4:00 PM GMT+6 (10 AM GMT).
“So what do you say?” Val ask to the Elders and the villagers. “ Will you give this a try and improve both your village and your lifes?”

Skiirod, roll persuasion.
The villagers continue to mutter.
(OOG: Waiting on Gym and Folki. Since more 3 out of 5 have responded, I will move the plot forward in about 10 hours from now.)
I'm moving on...
Skiirod's Persuasion: 19 (Assuming Folki will help out:12)

(Was our former client, the one with the lost daughter, one of the 13%?)
“I would like to stand watch at her shed tonight. I don’t want any funny business by those dissenters.”

“We should go on check on those three “ says Val “ and go back to the cairn to inform them that now they have a chance and to recover Elsara “

DM: Does everyone agree with Val's plan? What will you guys do now?
"Yes, lets head back. We need to get Lady Elsara."

"I can fly ahead..... I'll be faster through the air than you going through the forests"
DM: If Folki flies, it will take him 8 Hours to get to the goblin base.
(Whats the rough speed of Folki flying compared to normal travel?)
