Once it's clear the house is "safe", Sylyra-monkey hops down off of Uragum and begins looking for tracks that might indicate where the person/people/creature(s) went when it/they was/were done here.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Uragum begins walking around the room. "Two thoughts come to mind. Lizard folk, which had been mentioned before and, aligning with the increase of dragon BS we've been dealing with, Kobolds," he says. He stops and looks at the coppery blood, then the claw marks, trying to denote the size from their imprint and lastly the crude club. He again tries to discern what he can from it's size as well.
Hex examines the dried blood, trying to ascertain how long ago the struggle occurred. She then turns her attention to the claw marks but sees Uragum already assessing them and instead offers her assistance to try and figure out what made them. "I'd bet my money on kobolds."
Between the three of you, you are able to discern only that the claws came from humanoid feet; the gouges are too vertical to have come from a creature walking on all fours. The clearest imprints come from the sites nearest the struggle, however, and you are unable to find a trail from the house or to determine the direction the claws' owners may have come from or left toward.
Hex is unable to determine the exact age of the blood spatters, but they are recent enough to still carry a scent. She also notices that the bed is unmade and the fireplaces are cold.
Studying the club, Uragum determines that it is fashioned out of wood that grows near sources of water; likely either the swamp or the riverbanks near Phlan. OOC: It's the size of club a Small or Medium sized humanoid might carry.
Sylyra-monkey turns to look at Hex. It pauses, then shimmers and grows into the form of a shaggy mutt dog. Uragum recognizes it. He first saw it penned up in a cave on the rocky coast of Phlan. Sylyra-mutt begins sniffing around, trying to find a scent to follow.
The smells within the farmhouse are as much a jumble as the tracks; the metallic smell of blood, the smell of earth, sweat, and crops, and the smell of the river intermingle all throughout. Noticeably, all three smells are tangible outside of the farmhouse as well, though the smell of the farm and the river are the strongest.
Sylyra-mutt shimmers once again, and the elf form returns. "I at first could smell nothing, and then I could smell too much." He almost sounds apologetic. Or perhaps disappointed. But appearing to catch himself, the druid straights his back and raises his chin. "We'll have to go about this another way." He turns and looks at Taroo, clearly expecting some kind of a response.
"I'm running up short as well. I can't tell the size of the creatures from the claw marks on the floor. Kobolds would be smaller than Lizardmen but hard to discern with the one area. The club also provides little use, it's sized for either. It's wood also of a sort that grows near water, so possibly a swampy area but could very well be from along the rivers as well... I think we should expand our search further out for additional clues," Uragum says.
"There are more buildings down along the trail. Had you actually managed to pick up a scent to follow, I would've suggested we check them out first anyway." Hex heads out of the farmhouse and looks down the trail towards the cluster of buildings. "What are those buildings down there, Taroo?"
Taroo stares dumbfounded at Sylyra while he transitions between forms. "Does that...hurt?" he asks.
It takes a moment for him to register that Hex has asked a question of him. "Oh, uh...that's the barn and the coop over there, and that small wood building there is where I live," he answers. "You're welcome to look through them if it will help."
"Let's head on over then." Hex leads the group down the trail, doing the same as she did before, looking for any signs or tracks that the kidnappers or Reno's had come this way as well.
Sylyra also keeps his eyes peeled for any signs that might tell them something about what happened here. He quietly asks the nature around him to guide his sight, and a few motes of light drip from the mistletoe tied to the end of his staff.
Taroo's rough wooden house sits in this cluster of buildings near the stout story-and-a-half tall barn, a stone-lined well, and a small chicken coop. The fields on the north and south sides of the farm are easily accessible from here as well.
Access is provided to the barn through large main doors on the west side, with two additional doors on the north and east sides; all of them have been smashed in. The north door leads to a damp and stagnant pig sty, while the east doors open into the pasture.
"There were two cows and an ox in the barn that were taken," Taroo says, taking a mental count of the small pigs in the northern sty. "Huh...and definitely some of the larger pigs are missing as well."
Clawed footprints cover the dirt floor of the barn.
"Let's see if we can find anything helpful here," Sylyra comments to Hex. He enters the barn and takes a look around while once again asking nature for help.

Hex calls to Sylyra. "You wouldn't happen to be able to follow the scent of the blood in your monkey form would you?"
For Sylyra:

Noticeably, all three smells are tangible outside of the farmhouse as well, though the smell of the farm and the river are the strongest.

If that's not your way of saying there's no way to pick out one smell and follow it, I'd like to follow the smell of blood that leaves the farmhouse.
OOC: Sorry yeah, that was my way of saying that the smell of blood is too faint to follow once you're out of the farmhouse.

Sylyra rolls his eyes and brushes by Taroo with a hint of a smile to follow Hex.

Hex heads towards the barn to look around, remembering Taroo had mentioned that a few of the livestock were taken as well.
