A new threat in the forest has emerged and several heroes have heeded the call to service.

OOC-Everyone makes their preparations to go on an adventure and when ready.

The Trio step into out of the tavern and take a deep breath of fresh air.  Priphira comments, "Its exhilarating isn't it.   Knowing we're getting ready to explore the unknown again.  See what the forest has in store for us."

"That it is Priphira.  That it is. It truly is a magical place.  Like there's only one road in and out of town and everytime we go out we seem to be traveling in different environments once we complete the adventure there is a magical portal to bring us back to town.  The creatures we encounter seem to change as well.  I can't explain it.  The unknown is a bit unerving too but I can't help mysef from exploring", replies the Tabaxi Monk. 

They both look at Zavier with Priphira adding, "And what about you Zavier."

You travel a short distance west out of town in a blink of an eye your surrounding seems ever so slightly just a bit different.  The weather is nice mild/slightly warm with lite winds from the north.  A slight rustle of leaves as you travel give notice of the lite breeze.  After 30 mins of travel along the road you spot three owlbears ahead of you that come out of the wood from the north onto the path 30 ft ahead of you. Thankfully the wind was out of the north and masked your scent.  The owlbears all look at you.  The owlbeard are 5ft apart.

Each square is 5 ft..  The pathway from the north between the woods is where the owlbears came from to the middle of the road.  We are 30 ft east of them on the road.

Zavier surrounds himself with gray cold and strides forward, confident that any owlbear that attacks him will regret it.

Owlbear B moves up 30 ft and attacks 1,2,3,4 = Sarran who took point, 5=Priphira, 6 = Zavier.....6

Action: Cast Priphira cast Faerie Fire; at  Owlbear A and C.

The owlbear B bit Priphira for 15 points of damage.

Priphira cast Faerie fire on the Owlbear A and C...note spell description on having advantage when attacking those two.

Owlbear B took necrotic damage 6 screeching at the damage.

Sarran is up.

Sarran unleashes a series of claw attacks then does a flurry of blows using a Ki point to attack twice more with unarmed attacks at Owlbear B.

Claw #1 = Atk 15 Dmg 7

Claw #2 - Atk 17 Dmg 8

Unarmed attack #1 Atk 19 Dmg 6

Unarmed attack #2 Atk 10 Dmg 10 misses

Owlbear A and C move up to attack Sarran after seeing Sarran pummel and claw owlbear B.

Owlbear A Atk beak 14 misses

Owlbear A attack Claw 21 Dmg 9

Owlbear C Atk Beak 17 misses  accidentally rolled damage but it was  a miss.

Owlbear C Atk Claw 16 misses

Sarran takes 9 damage.

Zavier is  up:

Zavier closes to melee range with owlbear B, then uses inflict wounds. 

Attack: 10 Damage: 12

The owlbear howls in agony and takes his frustrations out on Zavier.

The owlbear attacks with his Bite  Atk 12:  Misses

Takes a swing and frustrated gets a really good hit in Atk 23:  Dmg 20  Zavier is down to 9 hp

Priphira is up.

Note : Had the Bite atk hit the damage range is 6-15.  One attack could have wiped Zavier out.  That does remind me that the Owlbear takes cold damage from your spell.  I'll add it into the owlbear B's Damage.

 Zavier's armor of agathys shields him from some of the attack and deals 5 damage to the owlbear. Zavier also uses his reaction to cast hellish rebuke, and the owlbear must make a DC 15 dex save, taking 9 fire damage on a failure and half as much on a success. 

Bonus Action:  Cast Healing word on Zavier  10

Action: Priphira cast minor illusion to the southwest 30 ft away.

She creates the noise of a wounded animal easy prey for the owlbears. Minor Illusion

Owlbears A and C take notice of the sound and move off towards the sound.

It doesn't say that opportunity attacks break the reaction so I'll allow it if anyone has reaction to owlbear A and C moving away from the group.

Let's have the fight laid out like this,

from South to North on the road is

Sarran in the middle, Priphira south of Sarran and Zavier north of Sarran.

Owlbear B is in the middle with Owlbear A to the South of B and Owlbear C to the north.   So if you want to opportunity attack Sarran can hit A or C while Priphira can hit C and Zavier can opportunity attack Owlbear C.

 Priphira rolls opportunity attack on Owlbear A with Advantage.

Attack: 22 Damage: 6 (Piercing)

Updated Zavier HP to have 5 temp point that were lost on the hit but his HP is at 24 Hp now.

Also, Owlbear B took 5 could damage from Zavier.  It's at 12 HP now.

Sarran is up: 

Opportunity attack Owlbear A: Atk 15 Dmg 7

Action: Atk owlbear B and if killed then attack Owlbear A.

Claw #1 Attack Owlbear B or A: 19 Damage: 10 (Slashing)

I rolled this as all four attack in one attack so I seperated it out like it should have been editing this post.  FYI

Owlbear B took 17 damage from the vicious claw attacks of Sarran killing it.

Sarran then used his flurry of blows to pummel Owlbear A doing 13 damage to it as it screeches up blood and attacks Sarran in retaliation.

Beak attack : 9  Misses

Claw attack: 11 Misses

Owlbear C moves off to the south to investigate the sounds and makes an Int save to see if it believes the noise:  INT DC 15 vs Owlbear C roll:  5

Zavier is up.

The owlbear rolled a 4 or less and completely believes the noises until next round.

Owlbear A and C have Faerie fire for 10 rnds total now at 9rnds left.  Everyone has advantage on attacks vs both of them.  Owlbear C is 30 ft south of the group and Owlbear A is in front of Priphira and 5ft south of Sarran, 10ft south of Zavier.

FYI......

Zavier will use inflict wounds on owlbear A. He reaches out, and seems to sap the color from the area around the owlbear. 

Attack: 20 Damage: 10

Zavier casts his spell on the creature reaching out and touches it.  The creature reels in agony as the necrotic damage disrupts the living cells at the point of touch and spreads outward.  

Priphira is up:

Priphira Action position to flank/sneak attack Owlbear A or C: 24 Damage: 10 (Slashing)

Dual Wielder - Two weapon fighting +1 to AC and able to use non-light weapons

Attack Owlbear A, if alive or move 30 ft to engage owlbear C with advantage and sneak attack if not used on A.  Attack: 23 Damage: 10 (Slashing)

Sneak attack: 5  on either hit as needed to either finish of Owlbear A or to add to attack on owlbear C.
