Though given pause at the sight of the board, Narrakas shakes his head in dismissal, resolving to check it out more closely after completing his business in the tavern. Which for him, apart from trying to score another flask full of decent alcohol and asking the tavern owner about some place that might repair his club, meant scoping out the local day drinkers and seeing if he could at least narrow down where the good captain is likely to be at any given hour.
(@DM: If he can get some kind of circumstance bonus to the above roll, Narrakas is willing to use up to 5 gold paying for drinks and/or blunt attempts at bribing for more information about the captain or his usual hang outs when in town)

Mads works his way among the dockhands and sailors. Lifting cargo and tailing lines, he picks up tales about the Nebula. It left port and headed Northward a while ago, but most of its crew has stayed ashore. So, the hands figure it has not headed to sea yet, but may be just hanging off the coast while its cargo has been dealt with.
Narrakas manages to drink with a few sailors who seem to have had a head start on him. He manages to get out of them in hushed tones something about a mysterious shipment being handled for "Shadowwind Zephyr". Seems the captain does not like to spend much time on land, but has business handled for him. The goods are likely to pop up on the black market soon. More than that, these sailors don't know.
Mildly disappointed, but unsurprised, Narrakas thanked whatever deities above or beyond had afforded him at least the nugget of information he wound up discovering. But as he was in no hurry to leave, and figuring the others would trickle in time upon gathering intel from elsewhere, the goblin had been in the process of casually nursing his own drink by the time Mad made his appearance. Having not quite worked up to a buzz however at that point, he listens with rapt attention to the man, and offers his own insights, along with some commentary on his own. "If he's really doing what he's doing, and isn't a complete idiot, we won't find the stuff at the docks here. He'd need somewhere... discrete. But where in the blazes would find such a point near town at the very least?"

While Mads and Narrakas sit at the bar discussing how to track the cargo, they both feel a tugging at their purse strings... Turning to see the source of this, their quick sensing catches the pick-pockets with their little hands outstretched.
The two dock waifs jump back giggling. The giggling is cut short by the abrupt wrap on each of their heads by an older boy who more stealthily appears as from the shadows.
After the rebuke, the older boy steps forward with an overdone bow. "Forgive our younger recruits. They could not help trying their luck on newcomers to our town. I am Kaelen, of the Salty Scoundrels, at your service. By what I happened to hear, it sounds like you are in search of some particular cargo. Perhaps the Salty Scoundrels can help you locate it?"
Narrakas scowled, and had been moments away from going upside the head of one of the waifs if the raised hand of his was anything to go by. Instead, he set his sights on Kaelen immediately and glared at the youth, but managed to hold his tongue at least long enough to hear him out. At which point he side-eyed Madigan, quickly taking in the man's measure, before then relaxing against the bar and taking another swig of his drink.
"Hmph! I can respect the hustle. Just know 'fore we get into making deals tho' that the next time any of your recruits try their luck again with me, I might start taking up a collection of their fingers. As I could use a nice necklace..."He lets his words hang there for a moment or so, before letting out a barking laugh. "Anyhow! If'n ya offer'n, it would certainly behooves us to... listen, if nothing else. But what do you want in exchange for this assistance tho'?"

((OOC: Hope you feel better. Don't worry about it... things have been a little hectic as holidays wrap here too)).
Kaelen puts on an air of confidence, but is clearly unnerved by Narrakas' taste in jewelry.
"Fingers for a necklace? Now that's a unique taste. But I'll tell you what, goblin friend. We're not in the business of making enemies, especially not with a capable pair like you. Consider the Salty Scoundrels at your service. No need for collections or necklaces. We help you, you help us when we come knocking. Sound fair? Oh, and a piece of advice for those seeking whispers about cargo that's off the market—Snapping Line ain't the place. Too many ears, you see? Now, if you're looking for the real nitty-gritty, the kind of secrets only the saltiest folks know, head to the Empty Net across the Sharkfin Bridge. My little gift of goodwill to you. We hear a lot there, trust me."
Upon Kaelen's mention of the Empty Net, you recall that it is purportedly a haven for smugglers, mercenaries, assassins and even pirates. The owner, Kreb Shenker, takes coin from anyone and asks no questions. Troublemakers are thrown out the door, over the railing, and into the reeking harbor. Individuals looking to carouse find it the best place for a rowdy night of drinking and brawling. The town guard comes there only if called.
As mildly skeptical as he appeared by some of the news, Narrakas does perk up at the mention of the Empty Net, and even began broadly smiling. "It's been awhile since I've heard of the Empty Net. Never much had the pleasure to visit -- at least, as far as I can reckon. But, you made a good point Kaelen. And so long as a fair return doesn't put us at odds with our current employer, I don't see why not!"He said with a grin, before elbowing Mad's side to urge some agreement from the man as well.
The goblin then looked almost thoughtful for a moment or two, before fishing out 3 gold pieces and waving them in the air. "You know it 'ccurs to me that we could probably use a guide while we're at the Net. Perhaps even do a solid in making sure we don't get fleeced while we're there. You wouldn't happen to know anyone with such a talent now would you, Kaelen?"

Mardigan Looks confused at the goblin for a second then smiles and nods in agreement, Not quite sure what he's agreeing too but anxious to see where this lead takes them.
Kaelen eyes the three gold pieces Narrakas is waving and chuckles. "Now, I appreciate the thought, and I'm sure the Salty Scoundrels could put these to good use. However, guiding you through the twists and turns of the Empty Net is a skill, and skills usually come with a price. I'll gladly be your guide for, let's say, a fair five gold pieces. What do you think?"
Narrakas scowls at the boy and clutches his coin to his chest. Yet after a few moments of glaring at the boy, he glances again between Mad and Kaelen, half-hopeful/expecting the more sociable man to step and negotiate terms more in the party's favor. If/When this fails to occur, Narrakas lets out an exasperated sigh and say, "I think you're greed is doing more the talking than anything now in charging so bloody much! But, you have... eh, 'spirit', kid! I like that. But get too greedy..."He lets the threat hang in the air as he pulls out another two gold pieces and offers it to the boy.
