None of the brigands seem to quite share Faelan's enthusiasm for meeting a fellow harengon, and Jebbek's nose visibly wrinkles in mild irritation as Faelan steps closer. However his polite introduction seems to soften the tension considerably, and the brigand leader grins and relaxes, and makes a swaggering reply that is addressed to the other harengon more than to Faelan himself...
Well, ain't he a charmer, ay boys? Cottontail from the Carnival! Must've been a real showman, ay? An actor maybe, playing the role of Agdon Longscarf, and these is his prisoners, ay? And he says he don't want no trouble! That's not the Agdon we know, is it, boys? And now he's askin' us for information!
Jebbek then turns back to Faelan and continues. I like you, Cottontail. So I'll give ya one for free. 'Round here, we got rules. Three rules. And one of 'em is that if one gives somethin' to someone, then the other gives the first somethin' back. Normally when we meets folk like this we agree that they give us one o' their memories for our collection, and we gives them a beatin' in return. But I reckon we can make you an exception, and give you some information instead, seein' as you asked so polite like.
Jebbek reaches to her belt and retrieves a small goard with a golden knob-like stopper, and holds it out with the knob toward Faelan.
So 'ow about you pop your paw on this 'ere pretty thing, and think o' the nice feeling you remember from when you was given the best gift you ever received, and then you tell us what manner o' information you and your friends is after, and we'll reciprocate like the gentlemen we is.

The little fairy could only stay quiet for so long. There were so many bunny people like Faelen, and they noticed her scarf! "Inspired by your song, I made that scarf!" She chimes, posing proudly. "An ode if you will, to your Prince!" She smiles her bright smile with flutters of her wings.
Ping! Navi's ears twitch. The rule of three. The rule of three! "Rules!" She claps. "I like rules." They said they had three rules, but only told us one! The little fairy's about to ask what the other two were, when she's distracted by that smile on Faelen's face while looking at the lady bunny. She bobs her eyebrows and mimes a nudge. She can do ceremonies!
Blink. "Do you often go shoving your hands in other peoples things all willy nilly like that Flynn?" She floats over. "How does it feel?" Pokes him in her own curiosity of his experience.
Some of the brigands begin to shift uncomfortably as the conversation progresses - it isn't at all like their usual experience of intimidating unwary travelers - there is a light-creature and a fairy buzzing and flittering around, interrupting their robbery attempts, complimenting their absent captain with tributes, and even someone volunteering to be robbed!
There is no visible indication that Flynn's memory has successfully been acquired, but Jebbek seems satisfied, and is apparently less bothered than her crew by the unorthodox behaviour of the victims. Agdon Longscarf is much obliged! she says to Flynn with a mock bow, and then holding the gold-stoppered gourd out to the others she adds: And anyone else lookin' for information, it's the same fair trade...
Flynn: Flynn has now lost the memory of losing to Gaston! He still remembers Gaston and their rivalry, but doesn't remember losing to him. It's up to you whether Flynn consequently loses his humility as a result.

Faelan was going to take a step forward, then Luz started to buzz in front of this face again. "Alrigh, alrigh. Take it easy willya?" He said in a lower voice to Luz, and he sees that Zeg probably agrees with his lighted friend. He bows slightly to Jebbek. "Ah'm gonna take a pass on that. For now..." He then looks at Navi. "Yeah, ah love the scarf. Ah really do. Good job!!" He curls his paw into a fist, and let it hang close to her for a fist bump.

Where are the hags? WHERE ARE THE HAGS?? You'd do well to learn some manners in these 'ere parts, lad.Jebbek shakes her head disapprovingly at Flynn, and actually turns to Faelan to give her reply:
The Madam of the Marsh, the gentlewoman what oversees affairs in this 'ere land of Hither, is known as Bavlorna Blightstraw. Her grace resides in the village of Downfall, out thattaway. (Jebbek points vaguely to the north). Her fair sisters 'ave their own realms to govern, them being Thither and Yon.
Jebbek the brigand captain draws herself up to her full height, her ears erect and her whiskers twitching tightly, as she says with a tense voice to the whole group: Now if ya be wanting to pay her ladyship a visit, you best be making your way up the east of the Queen's Way until you reach the Tollway. Go west and you'll 'ave the high waters and the lornling's to deal with.
With a deep sigh, and returning to her relaxing slouch, Jebbek addresses her troops without looking at them: Orright lads, I think we've given more'n our fair share 'ere. Let's be off.
Finally, Jebbek returns to face Faelan and with a salute and a cheeky smirk, says: Howdyadoo Cottontail, and I'll give yer regards to Agdon Longscarf.
With a crack of the whip, the harengon brigands spur their pack snail back into reluctant movement, and striking up their ballad to the brigand Prince of Prismeer once more, they move off into the murky misty swamp.

Upon hearing the name Bavlorna Brightstraw, Faelan remembers the Carousel ride. “Waita minute…” Faelan looks up to Jebbek. “Hey Jebbek, wait up.” With a big jump he lands softly next to the female Harengon, but not too close, and he says in a lower voice. “Hey listen darlin’, ah hava question, and ah’ll pay ya anything. What’s runnin’ widdershins?”
(I am pretty sure Faelan did not make a smart choice here. Curious where this goes.)

"Hey, listen!" Navi bops Flynn on the head and giggles. "Silly, we knew where the hags were." She had a question or two or few. "I wonder what their other two rules were." Ping. "Ouu ohhh I have an even better question!"
Should the little fairy also hear Faelen's ask, she'd throw her hand up in the air and wave it around. "Let's make it a rounded three with me!" All about them threes. She bobs. "Do any of yous know anything about a unicorn horn!?"
Jebbek looks confused by Faelan's question, while the other brigands seem to think he was asking some kind of riddle, and begin to offer suggestions for an answer...
"'Witches'?" "No, that's dancing, you idiot. It must be 'a bride'." "No, no, they walk, not run. You ever see a bride run at a wedding? Use your loaf. The question was in the present tense, so the answer must be 'sundials'". "Oh, good one. But wait, maybe it sumfink abstract. Like 'shoes' or sumfink".
However Zeg soon shuts down the conversation by withdrawing the question on Faelan's behalf, much to the disappointment of the would-be riddle-solvers. Meanwhile, Navi pops up with her own question, which seems to confuse Jebbek even further. With a nervous shake of her head and a shrug of the shoulders, she weakly replies: They're magical? They can break magic spells? I dunno... Then with a nervous shake of her head, she turns to her crew to depart, shouts Lessgo lads and as she leaves she can be heard through the fog, muttering to the other brigands: Daft lot that was. Never heard so many balmy questions in all me life. It's nothin' but beatings for the visitors from now on lads, you hear?
...and within moments the only sounds that can be heard are strange gurgles from the shadows of mangroves.
Faelan is about to open his mouth to reply to the well meaning brigands, but he's quickly interrupted by his colleagues. "Errr... Ah guess we're on our way to visit lovely Ms. Brightstraw??" He shrugs, and then he takes out a carrot from his backup and starts to munch on it.
