“There used to be, put it that way.” She shivers. “The boys suffered the same fate too though, from what I saw. Good job I wasn’t in that group, heh.” She smiles, trying to put a funny spin on it, and failing.
"That doesn't sound nice. I'm sorry." She opens her arms, offering her a hug.
"Aw, thank you." She returns the hug, bending down. She seems happy, but secretly, she annoyed that she can't seem to figure Moon out yet.

I want you to know. You are going to lose. You are going to lose badly. You’re going to lose badly and it’s going to be awesome.
Yadz watches the conversation between Moon and the girl, smiling to himself. "Don't worry Moon. I promise to defend your honour if she does poison you." He waves the stick around again, stabbing imaginary foes. "Should we head off to your camp then Charlie?"
"Thank you, that's very nice. I won't get poisoned, though. Did you know that if you eat charcoal, it'll be like a sponge for the poisons in your stomach? So before you die it can soak up and destroy the poison." She raises the stick she turned into a torch, the charred and blackened end snuffed out now. "I have some here. No one gets poisoned on my watch."
"Wow, you are a smart little girl." Charlie smiles.
"Thank you. My uncle taught me a lot." She nods sagely.

"Huh, I didn't know that. Good thing we have you along then. You can be the chief anti-poisoner!" Yadz sticks out hand and gives her hair a quick ruffle, as if they'd known each other for years. He's clearly more comfortable around young kids like Moon than people his own age.
"I will do my best. Chief anti-poisoner is a big responsibility." Her graveness is broken when Yadz ruffles her hair, a small giggle escaping her as her face scrunches up in delight. "And that makes you Admiral defender."
*does Yadz have siblings?*

I want you to know. You are going to lose. You are going to lose badly. You’re going to lose badly and it’s going to be awesome.
You follow Charlie west, and it takes you about 45 minutes to reach her base. On the way, you both realise that you're actually quite tired, and hungry too. It's been a long day.
The base is surrounded by a wooded barrier, and you can see smoke coming from a slowly dying fire inside.
*For your reference, the camp looks like this, except there's no leaves on the trees on grass on the ground. I did manage to make it grey though, so that's accurate*

As they approach the base Yadz's stomach lets out an audible growl. "Hey, Charlie. You have food in there right? It takes a lot of fuel to keep this fine tuned killing machine going." He gestures at his lanky body, clearly joking.
"I'd be happy to, but you'll have to tell me where to get it. I'm guessing you can't eat those Flash things."
She smiles. "No, you definitely can't eat those. There's a pond about a quarter of a mile north, the water's grey, but still drinkable- well, I hope it is, I've been drinking it anyways- and there's fish in there too, if you can catch 'em."
