As Mub brings the lit rock over to the stairway door, you both certainly notice the roil of minnow-like creatures that disturb the knee-deep water as they swim away from the light down a long hallway beyond. From where you stand the area further down appears to be a roughly hewn hallway, maybe ten or fifteen feet across that narrows down to a much more obviously worked stone hall that opens into a small room beyond that. You think it unlikely that the small room is a dead end.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
In the middle of Kathra's conversation with Mirabel, while Mub and Gavin are examining the western lower tunnel entrance, the loud strange noise issues forth through the caverns again. "BZZZZTTTT" For Gavin and Mub, each of you think that you might have seen a small burst of light on the northern edge of the small room at the end of the tunnel that coincides with the strange sound. The rest of you are somewhat caught off-guard as a big armored figure sort of materializes in the center of the sandy circle in the middle of the room you are in. The body of the figure is tall, maybe almost seven feet in height, with arms and legs seeming constructed of polished wood and brass metal that look aged significantly by time. The head of the figure seems to be a human skull, propped up by a wooden stick attached to a circular brass collar at the neck of the armored body.
The strange construct seem to briefly shift around, reorienting itself as you stare at it, to face the western tunnel stair where Gavin and Mub are huddled. As the last of the odd energy arcs dissipate away from its armored shell, the creature begins moving across the sandy circle towards the two and the stairway beyond.
The large armored figure barely makes it more than a few steps as Mirabel's lightning bolt slams into it from the side. Electrical energy courses through the construct, blasting it apart from the seams, scattering bits of metal and charred wood across the sandy ground. The skull shoots off its neck brace, arcing through the air to bounce off a nearby stone column before hitting the ground with a sharp cracking sound. All is quite once more.

((You'll get to double digits one of these days Kathra. I believe in you!))
For Kathra:
The skull itself is not hard to find as it is still sort of smoking against the stone floor. Giving it a good poke, you're pretty sure it's a humanoid skull of some kind. Maybe not elven, and definitely bigger than a gnome or halfling.

You keep your eye on the room beyond the flooded tunnel, hoping to catch new glimmers of strange light reflected in the rippling waters. However, you don't seem to see any new evidence of illumination that is distinguishable beyond the light given off by your own spelled stone.

“I think we should investigate this tunnel further” says Gavin “I think I saw something in there right before that thing appeared, maybe a trigger of some sort?”
Kathra looks up from the skull on the floor. "I think that golem was made out of spare parts. Probably what happens to intruders such as ourselves." She thinks for a moment before adding, "Well, intruders who aren't as good as us may be more accurate."
((I take that to mean that the group is heading west into the flooded section? I'll give everyone a chance to check in since I haven't seen Peren post in a while and finish up any business they have in this room and then we'll move along.))

Mud will just walk back to where he last left off at and start to look deeper down that that hallway just to see what paths there may be fist.
For Kathra:
It is a fine alcove!
For Mub and Gavin:
As Mub brings the lit rock over to the stairway door, you both certainly notice the roil of minnow-like creatures that disturb the knee-deep water as they swim away from the light down a long hallway beyond. From where you stand the area further down appears to be a roughly hewn hallway, maybe ten or fifteen feet across that narrows down to a much more obviously worked stone hall that opens into a small room beyond that. You think it unlikely that the small room is a dead end.
Kathra gives up on the alcove and turns to Mirabel.
"Well, I'm out of ideas. Do we just see what Mub and Gavin found, or what?"
((You all will effectively have one action to take before it leaves the sandy circle and is upon Gavin and Mub.))
"Mother FU---" Mirabel shouts in surprise. He recovers quickly and casts....
Lightning Bolt!: DC 14 Dex Save or 33 damage be done to ye! (Half on a failed save)
((You will have killed this thing Mirabel. I'll have a post for that up shortly when I get a chance.))
Kathra feels her hair stand on end as Mirabel's lightning bolt goes off, and then watches the golem (or whatever it is) blow apart.
"The hells was that?" She decides to look for the skull.

Gavin will keep an eye on the end of the passageway to see if any more light flashes happen while the team looks at the golem thing
Mirabel is still panting heavily, hands on his knees.
"Did I get it?"
((I need a Perception check from Gavin.))
Perception:18
For Gavin:
You keep your eye on the room beyond the flooded tunnel, hoping to catch new glimmers of strange light reflected in the rippling waters. However, you don't seem to see any new evidence of illumination that is distinguishable beyond the light given off by your own spelled stone.
Mub will go to Mirabel and give them one of the berry coin cooky sandwich thing that they like.
“I think we should investigate this tunnel further” says Gavin “I think I saw something in there right before that thing appeared, maybe a trigger of some sort?”
Mub just nods.
