“Or if you are in the water around them.” Says Gavin with a shake of his head. “Even them little ones pack a punch then. My fingers didn’t stop tingling for hours.”
Mirabel explains the finer points of the magical buildup to Blimey.
"One can never know for certain why magic behaves the way it does sometimes, but as far as I can tell, whatever the fellow with the golems was getting up to was responsible for the buildup of magical energy." He shrugs. "Probably trying to revive his dead master. The storm seals should leave now that the energy has been discharged."
"So..." Bhaerny says, beginning to look a little frustrated. "What exactly happened over the last few days and, if you would be so kind..." he motions towards the large map of the area on the wall, "where did it happen? After all, this is quite a story and I'll likely need to send out scouts to peruse the scene since I'm not seeing much in the way of proof."

Gavin walks over to the map and shows Bhaerny where the cave is located. ”I believe it was uncovered by some fresh rains in the area. Which is how the crazy Goliath found it. We entered through a cave behind a waterfall. It is somewhat flooded but still accessible. During our fight some of the ceiling caved in so not sure if that created another entrance for access.
Bhaerny gives a gruff nod to two nearby dwarves who grab supply packs off the ground near the wall and head out the door. "Once my boys get back with a report, I'll be happy to talk compensation for what sounds like quite an ordeal on Krakhal Clan lands. If you would be willing to stick around town for a day or so to get things cleared up that would be helpful." You get the feeling that last bit was only about 30% a request.
"Now, if you have any other details that would be good to know, I'm all ears. Otherwise, you might want to find yourselves a place to bunk for the evening. I'll send a runner to find you later."

Decisions made, the party leaves the northern guard station and you make your way through the mildly busy streets of Rockmount. The cobbled streets are still a little damp form the many days of rain, but the day's shining sun has dried out several swaths of low traffic areas and the cool breeze that winds its way through the streets caries with it the scents of civilization; a heady mixture of baked goods and pack animals, tinged with the hints of fresh forged steel and stale ale. It's not long before you find yourselves at the doorway of the Harper and Goblet, the inviting sounds of evening carousing exude from the open door.

Saddling up to the bar, perhaps a tad eagerly, Peren and Kathra place their orders. It's not long before the man behind the counter places a pair of frothing pints between them; a fine amber colored ale for Peren and a deep dark stout brew for Katha.

While waiting for your ale, you scan the room. There's plenty of folks seated here and there conversing with each other over pints of ale and bowls of fish stew. A traveling bard sits in the corner, deftly tuning a lute while a n orange stripped cat twines between his legs. A few apron-wearing individuals dart from table to table, smiles only broken by the occasional chat with a friendly patron. However, none that you see appear to be Della.

When the bartender returns with Gavin's drink and receives the cleric's question in turn, his eyes narrow slightly. "Della's been out these last few days unwell. You some sort of messenger service?"
A Persuasion check might be helpful in getting him to open up about where you might find Della.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Not exactly a messenger service, but I do have something of hers that I am positive she would in her possession. Unfortunately it’s of a personal nature that I am unable to give more details about. I would like to deliver it to her in person as soon as possible. Could you send a runner to ask if she will see myself and my elven friend here for 5-10 minutes while she is resting.” Gavin slides a gold piece towards him, “For the runner and your assistance if you can help.”
Maybe it's your honest toe, or the look in your eye of a mission of mercy in need of fulfillment, but the barkeep softens. "Yer likely to find poor Della over at the chapel this time of day then. Poor girl's been a wreck these last few evenings. I hope whatever you have to deliver will help bring her around."

Peren will ask Gavin quietly, did we bring back any pieces of the spell engine, or the stones from inside the skeleton heads
Gavin nods his head at Peren question as he touches his necklace and then glances toward Mirabel

Mirabel states in no uncertain terms that there is absolutely nothing that he is leaving out of his story.
Not even one thing.
I guess we head over to the Harper and Goblet to talk w Della and await the dwarves to come back from investigating.
Sounds like a plan to Kathra! It involves getting a drink or five, so it's probably an excellent plan.

Kathra immediately asks for the strongest ale they've got.
Peren will ask for a pint of ale
Saddling up to the bar, perhaps a tad eagerly, Peren and Kathra place their orders. It's not long before the man behind the counter places a pair of frothing pints between them; a fine amber colored ale for Peren and a deep dark stout brew for Katha.
Gavin comes up behind Peren and Kathra and holds up his index finger towards the barkeep, “One more amber ale kind sir.”
He will also look around to see if he notices Della working today.

I will ask the barkeep “Is Della working today? I have something that needs to be hand delivered to her.”
