Tracing some magical gestures in the air and reciting some quick incantations, Mirabel is rather expertly able to reverse the trap spell that shifted the chest beyond your planar reach. As the mystical fires recede, the box solidifies, becoming real once more.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
“Why would Korm take such measures for a little bit of treasure? Peren can you empty that chest out, maybe he was hiding more than just coins and sapphires.”
"Yes, well, he certainly wasn't showing many signs of rationality." Mirabel shrugs. "There could be a false bottom in the chest or something, I suppose. Or he could have been planning ahead! Maybe he had designs on some real treasures."
Kathra looks around the room with immense distaste. "Yeah, I think I've had my fill of this place. Let's go tell the townsfolk they were right and there was nothing going on here."
((Alright, well hearing no objections, let's head back to town!))
It's not an arduous task, making your way out of the underground structure by way of the tunnel that leads to the waterfall and pool. The angry owl nesting by one of the nearby columns hoots and hisses at you a bit on your way out, but otherwise doesn't harass you further. It seems pleased to have you out of its space. As you exit into the light of the outside, you spare a moment to look up to the partially cloudy sky, maybe in hopes of seeing a glimmer of storm seals flitting about the wispy clouds, but blue skies are all you find.
The walk back to Rockmount goes a bit quicker now that there aren't torrential rains to shelter from or mudslides and other generally soggy hazards to deal with. While it does take much of the day, it's not long before you crest a small hill and see the road leading towards what passes for the norther gatehouse of this un-walled patch of civilization. There seems to be the usual bustle of village commerce in the streets, and here and there you see the recognizable glimmer of the occasional Krakhal clan dwarf sentry dotting the crowd. All in all the place is as seemingly peaceful on the surface as it was when you left. In your minds you begin to weigh the truths and lies you are about to tell as you step onto the main road heading into town.
As we get closer to town, Gavin makes sure his spell stone around his neck is hidden away. When he wraps it up and puts it in a pouch he tells the others, “Don’t want to give them a reason to doubt our story.”
((Just a heads up, I'll be heading out of town today and my internet availability will be a bit spotty until Monday. Feel free to decide among yourselves what areas of town you want to visit and who you want to talk to and I'll get to it when I can. As usual, I've put up a list of NPCs you've met in the campaign screen if you need refreshers.))

"Hey, I think I've got it!"
Mirabel begins muttering some words and waving his hand about. Something probably happens!
Kathra elects to find something to hide behind while Mirabel does... whatever he's doing. Hopefully it won't explode.
Tracing some magical gestures in the air and reciting some quick incantations, Mirabel is rather expertly able to reverse the trap spell that shifted the chest beyond your planar reach. As the mystical fires recede, the box solidifies, becoming real once more.
Peren will pick up the box and look inside
Lifting the lid reveals a small collection of various coins, about 50gp in value, and about ten sapphire shards each worth about 10gp.
“Why would Korm take such measures for a little bit of treasure? Peren can you empty that chest out, maybe he was hiding more than just coins and sapphires.”
"Or he was mad as a box of frogs." Kathra pipes up.
"Yes, well, he certainly wasn't showing many signs of rationality." Mirabel shrugs. "There could be a false bottom in the chest or something, I suppose. Or he could have been planning ahead! Maybe he had designs on some real treasures."
Peren will dump out the contents of the box and look for any hidden compartments
investigation = 18
For Peren:
There do not appear to be any hidden compartments within the chest. Maybe Kathra was right and Korm was just paranoid and crazy?
((Anything else in the cubby where the chest was?))
((There is not.))
“Well, ok gang, whats our next steps?”
"I guess we head back to town."
((Meta, is there any part of this cave we have not explored yet. Can we get a map recap please))
((That is most certainly an option if you are all done here.))
Kathra looks around the room with immense distaste. "Yeah, I think I've had my fill of this place. Let's go tell the townsfolk they were right and there was nothing going on here."
