"Yep, somebody else is there alright." Kae begins to toss one of her pebbles between her hands. "You guys should go on ahead, I can follow a bit behind. This hunk of scrap hasn't gotten any less noisy, y'know." She keeps the pebble in her palm and lightly taps on her metal chestplate a couple times. "If it's one of those guys that we don't like, I wouldn't wanna be their proverbial Paul Revere."

Was confused for a second by what DM meant by chamber given direction, but I see now.
Zalos nodded to Eddie, but where it came to Kae he'd smirk and say, "Not sure if you noticed, but I ain't exactly running slick specs either. But if you wanna hang back and cut off any retreat, be my guest."He then looks to Eddie once more, gives him a sharp nod, and then after rolling his shoulders a bit, race on into the chamber pulling the spear-like weapon from his satchel as he aimed to launch it at the first viable target he sees once inside the chamber.

You rush in only to find the light you saw is gone. ((Roll a Perception roll-each of you please, DC 14)) You enter/re-enter the place where both Klarg and Sully died the day before. To Kae & Eddie's eyes, it looks slightly different though they would be hard-pressed to identify the differences.
A fire pit stands before you. Along the east wall is a bed and dresser. Along the southern part of the wall, there is a collection of crates and boxes. Opened Amazon & DHL boxes and envelopes litter the area here. To the west are two large blood stains that have dried on the floor. One is from Klarg and the other is from Sully. Each spot is indistinguishable from the other but, Eddie and Kae both get flashbacks of whose body was where.
Kae doesn't pay much attention to the surroundings or where the light disappeared to. Instead, she just observes the dried blood on the floor. "Zal, this is where Sully... passed. Right over here." She walks over to the spot where she remembers Sully lying. "Just figured you oughta know." She slowly takes a seat near the blood, and spends a moment contemplating the room and the past couple days.

Eddie will walk over to where the crack was that went to the room which had the wolves in it before and looks through the crack to see if the light source is visible.
Zalos looks as directed and jaw clenched looked at the spot for a time. But after trying and failing to speak afterwards, he shook his head sharply, and moved on towards the pile of crates and boxes that he'd half-expected the police to have confiscated by this point. But then given what little or the most he knew about the local station, the half-sun elf just as quickly dismissed it with a slight huff of the noise while warily shifting boxes about to try and spot any hiding goblins. He might even go so far as to try and pop a few open, uncaring in the moment about contaminating evidence if it meant snagging a snooping goblin.

Eddie Eddie's hunch is right. As he moves closer to the "hole in the wall" he does catch a glimpse of a faint light on the other side of the hole. It quickly goes out of the small cave (where Eddie found the wolves tied up) and turns right, back into the tunnel.
Zal Known for his keen senses Zal inspects the area, in search of goblins. He sees plenty of signs that they frequent this place but no goblins are found. The waterfall in the next room makes it difficult to hear any sounds other than what is inside the room you are standing.
Kae Kae takes a seat and reflects on the past day's events.
Each of you looks around, at each other, and then at the contents of this room and something is off, out of place. There is something that doesn't fit but you can't put your finger on it.
((OK this is a chance to earn an "Inspiration Point"! If you can come up with the answer to this without rolling an Investigations check, you get a point. If you have no idea or just want to move the game along, just roll and Investigations check for me. If you think you might have an answer, post in the private chat for this game.))
Between a hunger for swift vengeance and determination to put off reflecting on loss for a little longer, Zal had pretty much had pushed out all distractions from mind. But once his search turned up empty he let out a frustrated huff and nearly muttered some dark epitaph before finally noting something out of the corner of his eyes.
".... No... it can't be that easy."He said more to himself than anyone as he locked eyes on the bed and dresser. Both of which would've been a fair amount of work just to haul up to some cave even if part of some raided shipment. So deciding to act on the hunch, Zal made his way over to the bed and kneel down to check up under it. And if nothing stood out for him under there(or on it for during his initial approach), then he'd set his sights and focus on opening drawers of the dresser and checking them out in the vain hope of at least finding anything of note.

Eddie quietly moves up to each of Kae and Zal in turn and whispers to them "I saw the light we were following on the other side of the crack. It looks like whoever it is might be trying to pull a fast one and creep back in through the back door."
(If required for the quiet movement and the whisper Stealth: 8 (natural 1 + 7). Whoops.)
Eddie: It dawns on Eddie that if the cops had been here, why doesn't look like a crime scene? The place looks the same when Eddie and Kae left the place, aside from the bodies of Klarg and Sully.
Zal: The party sees Zal walk to the part of the cave with the bed and dresser. He kneels down and then bends down to look under the dresser. Finding nothing, He opens its drawers. Inside Zal finds a few things. A half-eaten rotisserie chicken from Kroger, a couple of magazines, and a few socks with no matches. Checking the second drawer Zal finds bits of trash and old newspapers but underneath all that, he finds a thick, hard-bound black ledger.
Kae gets distracted from her silent, almost meditative state when Eddie relays what he found. "Through the crack? That crack?" She looks at the small opening in the wall. "Probably a goblin, huh? Hopefully we can catch up to 'em. Unless either of you know how to shrink, let's go the long way." She gets up off the ground, takes a pocket knife off her belt, and starts walking around to the location where the canines were. "Zal, c'mon. We can look through here in a bit."

"You say spotted'em? Good. Let's see if catch up with the slippery buttmunch."He says as quietly. Although any thoughts of remaining quiet fall to the wayside as he too hurried to backtrack. However, in seeing a risky shortcut in path to the bridge, he'd break away there if need be, and aim to leap off the bridge should he catch sight of the torch bearer below him. Otherwise, he'd try for a more controlled climb down
