Essendrum holds his torch above Kiza to help her see and considers the half-toad/ half-lizard image. He thinks he may recall reading about such a creature.
Kiza leans down and looks the floor over. The tiles seem even and she does not see any evidence of breaks between the tiles or uneven tiles
Essendrum:
Essendrum sees nothing touched by the weave in this room and it appears to be void of anything magical. Essendrum thinks on the image of the mosaic, searching his memory for anything resembling the depicted creature. The knowledge pops into his mind in less than a second. The mosaic depicts Laogzed, god of the Troglodytes.
”Troglodytes worship a half-lizard half-toad god that is usually depicted much like that image in the mosaic. I suggest we let Spike lead, for if Troglodytes are nearby he will be best able to resist their stench. I have only read of its poisonous effects and would prefer not to experience them. Oh, also, there seems to be no enchantment on the room.”
Essendrum peers suspiciously around the room looking for anything slightly amiss that might suggest camouflaged creatures lurking.
Kiza stands "That kind of god seems an ill omen and I see no other traps. I am willing to let Spike enter if he is willing. I am glad all of us are in this together as this catacomb has been strange enough for me." she stands and steps aside.
”Good enough for me,” says Spike, heading into the room and looking around cautiously for anything threatening, or perhaps just interesting…
Perception: 20
Other than the mosaic, there is nothing that stands out to Spike. The scent of rancid water and muck seems to be coming from the slightly opened door on the other side of the room. As Spike moves forward he catches a glimpse past the opened door. It looks like some kind of bench.
”Smells like there is stale water in the room beyond,” answers Spike, pointing at the open door, adding, “I see a bench of some kind—maybe a pool is up ahead.”
He moves forward to the open door and looks inside

Spike moves forward and looks inside the open door.
Before him is a small room, 15 ft. x 10 ft. with a small bench along the west wall. There is a robe lying on the bench. It appears to be small and Spike can see cobwebs running from the robe to the floor. Along the walls, at various spots, are attached metal hooks. In all likelihood, these were used to hang clothing or robes. The floor is covered in the same blue-green tiles as the room you are in. Across from Spike is an open doorway that leads into darkness. The stench is more pungent here.
”Ah, a changing room,” says Spike. He moves into the area and looks at the robe in detail, picking it up and flicking off the cobwebs.
“Looks to be in pretty good shape—maybe magically preserved,” he adds, tossing the robe back to the next person in line behind him so he can keep his hands free.
He then moves to the next door and looks into the next room, alert for any pool-dwelling nastiness…

Kiza catches the robe and holds it as if is some smelly trash. "Well I don't know if its magical but let's see if I can find any clues" She follows Spike from 5ft behind him still ready to run if something happens in the next room. She then examines the robe and roots around in any pockets it may have. If there are no pockets, she hands the robe to Essendrum.
Kiza Kiza moves into the room and picks up the robe. Dust from the robe and the bench takes to the air as she holds it before her. It is a worn orange in color, aging for some time where it had been left. It has two pockets. One is empty the other holds a small bone. The bone looks to be from a finger or toe of some unfortunate creature.
Spike moves to the opening along the north wall and looks inside. He sees a large room, 50 ft. x 50 ft. The room is dark but Spike can make out the tapestries hanging from its walls. The floor is carpeted in an old, stained red carpet and appears to run the width and length of the room. Two rows of benches take up the majority area of the room and extend from about 5 ft. from the opening to 15 ft. from the far wall. They are spaced to create a carpeted path in the middle of the room. This path leads to a raised platform on the north wall with 2 sets of steps, one near the east wall and one near the west wall that leads to the top of the platform. In the center of the platform stands a podium. Behind the podium, to its right and left, are two doors.
"This place is getting stranger and stranger," mumbled Enoch as he peered into the room.
Clearing his throat, he added, "Well, looks like it's right or left," then shrugged and half-smiled somewhat grimly at Spike as he waited for his choice.
"This room reminds me of a church for worship and whoever they are were probably worshipping that dark god statue we found earlier. Let me check to see if there are any dangers in the room" says Kiza as she looks around the room.
Essendrum enters and walks up behind Spike with his torch, peering into the room beyond. “It would seem the stage is set. I hope we are watching the performance and not expected to be the entertainment.”
Kiza examines the room but must be aided by Essedrum's torch to see clearly. Looking closer Kiza sees the tapestries are worn and depict horrible acts of death and destruction. It takes some time but once she gets to the platform, Kiza notices a carving on the front of the podium. It is what Essendrum identified as a depiction of Laogzed, God of Troglydites.
Spike:
It doesn't take long for Spike to find a defined path. Three beings passed this way, two dragging a third. Spike also believes that others followed. This path leads to the right door on the platform.
