OH YEAH Pally was on the second floor at some point. I remember there being stairs last time anything happened so, ahem.
In the hallway of the second floor, there are five doors: two on the wall to your left, and three on the wall to your right. In front of you is a landing, with a set of stairs leading down to the ground floor (you assume). Behind you is a ladder, already pulled down from the ceiling, that leads up to the attic. (You assume.) What door do you walk through?

*yay! my favourite spooky trauma filled pbp set in a scary yet oddly comforting house is back!!*
Cal yells, the force of the shockwaves knocking all the air out of her. She throws up her hands to protect her face as she slams into the rock. Then, as she feels the ground fall away from beneath her, she casts Levitate on herself before shutting her eyes tight and praying.
*hjshshsjshshsh*
The spell seems to work... Slowly opening your eyes you realize you're not falling anymore. There's only one problem. Everything has crumbled. Looking all around you, you realize that even the mouth of the giant you stepped into is gone... You are hanging in the air like a spider on a single filament of web with nothing to hold on to. The space around you is darker than the fathoms below, darker than anything you've ever known. It's grainy. It's oppressive. From a lack of light and the immense strain of looking into a darkness so devoid of anything you can't tell the difference between when your eyes are shut or open, your eyes start to make their own hallucinatory colors. For a single disorienting moment you think you've died.
You're hanging in the air, and now have a 20 foot movement speed as per the spell. But there's really nowhere else that you can see to go to, it's too dark. What do you do now?
It's darker than Cal ever knew dark could be. It's dark, and she's all alone, and she needs to get out of there. But first she needs to pull herself together. She takes a deep breath, trying to remember the happy times she spent with Lennie in the sun and the wind and the open air. The memories are calming, and soon she's thinking clearly enough to try something. Cal pulls off one of her oh so precious boots and casts Light on it, then drops it down into the dark, watching as it falls. Does she see it hit the ground?

The memories are calming. But Cal can slowly, surely, feel something slipping away. With each heartbeat it's harder to remember the intricacies of the memories. How did Lennie's hair look on that day, did she wring out her long, loose locks after a day of wading out at sea, or was it all up in a bun? You could've sworn that she had a dimple on her left cheek, but not her right, but now the memories are off as they show her with no dimples at all. Who was that pretty stranger you remember seeing at that small bakery by the shore? You feel a pang of regret as you reminisce on a love that couldn't have been because, while you recognize this person with such a charming farmgirl smile, it feels fuzzy. You must not have mustered up the courage to talk to her. All of her softness, like ribbons of sand running through your fingers, is now forgotten. Sifting through your memories proves harder and harder; you keep seeing this girl, only __ at the time. A small fondness grows in your heart for this girl you never remember knowing. Was she the one that rescued you? Your knight in shining armour, your angel? Surely you had sturdier sea legs than that, to at least ask the girl for her name as she brought you onto shore so many years ago, but now you're not so sure you ever did. Maybe it was someone else, in the end.
You have now forgotten who Lennie was. Completely.
The boot drops down below you into nothingness. The light blinks out when it goes so far you can't see it anymore. You can't hear it hitting anything.

Cal starts to cry. She wants something, anything, to hold onto, but even her own mind is betraying her now. Hanging there alone in the pitch black emptiness, it feels like the world has ended and left her behind. She cries, and cries, and then she's falling.....down, down, down...
She pauses for a moment, then goes through the middle door on the right.
It opens up to a bathroom! It looks like a bigger bathroom, with two sections: there's the front section, closest to the door leading to the hallway, which has a sink and a countertop, and a mirror that can open and be used as a medicine cabinet. The second section holds the toilet and a bath with one of those showerheads that you can take off the wall.

A springy, stale mattress catches your fall. It bounces a bit from the force of you falling on top of it, but it catches your fall enough nonetheless.
