Considering this is an MtG setting, are there any do or don't that apply? What about the MtG lore outside of Strixhaven (I play MtG so have to know to keep IC and OOC knowledge seperate)
Looking to a potential Lorehold or Silverquil character.
If you wanted to flavor your character as being from another plane that's ok, but no custom/homebrew things. Nothing outside Strixhaven in the MtG universe will be mentioned or discussed.
Background - Silverquill Student. (You say the school is picked in second year. No problem with another school pending rp)
Letter of Application to school:
I am Keibel Proudhoof. I am the first daughter of Annabel and Keitars Proodhoof. I am a proud cleric and warrior of Iroas the god of victory. I have never met an obstacle I could not overcome and I am coming to your school to seek new challenges and make new allies. Can you bring me the challenges I seek? Iroas teaches us that through overcoming adversity and achieving victory that we can become the best version of ourselves. I am particularly interested in your Silverquill curriculum as I seek to be the next leader of my people and follow in the footsteps of the current leader and my father. I will not lack for ambition and will certainly be a shining star to your school. I look forward to hearing back from you on my acceptance to your school.
Backstory: Katar was born on the thirteenth day of the year to a mother who hadn't showed any signs of pregnancy. If that wasn't enough to make him a curse; his eyes were all wrong, his left eye was purple and his right eye was red giving him the name "Wildeyes". His mother named him "Katar" which meant "bad luck" in her language, despite his mother abandoning him shortly after, the name stuck. He spent most of his young life in the local orphanage, but he terrified the other children. Wherever he went, strange things happened. Bears would approach him, objects would suddenly burst into flames, or his nails would become terrifying claws. To a village unfamiliar with magic, these things were terrifying. The village tried to get rid of him, but he always found a way to return.
One day; a strange man passed through the village, he met the boy and discovered his arcane talents. The man talked to the boy and told him he came from a place called Strixhaven, where people like Katar learned how to use their abilities. He asked him if he wanted to go there with him; eager to learn more about his abilities, Katar agreed. Curious and excited, he left for Strixhaven with the man, and learned a few tricks from him. Katar is excited and curious about what the future holds.
Additional Note: I will edit this post to have a link to Katar's sheet once I'm finished.

Is everything of official material usable? Talking about Tasha's optional rules and class features but also races like from spelljammer, dragonmarks, spells and feats from advendure modules, etc.
Hi, I'd be interested in joining a Strixhaven campaign.
Keeping the concept loose at the moment as I can adjust depending on what schools are balanced out at:
Race: Custom Lineage -
Class: Sorcerer
Stats: Point Buy
school: Quandrix / Silverquill / Witherbloom are all viable.
Aard'len came into their magic quite unexpectedly, and embarrassingly, striking down their teacher with a mental barrage when disagreeing with a their interpretation of the text. Quickly they were pulled from their mundane school and arrangements were made for them to attend Strixhaven, known through the planes as one of the finest centres for magical learning. Surely nothing could go wrong there...
Equipment: I ditched my crossbow and lyre to get more clothing, Silverquills have to stay stylish.. But, I can change it back it needed.
Backstory: Dom has always had a way with words and using his silvery tongue to get what he wants out of life. Persuasion, deception, intimidation, or perhaps a bit of magic woven into his words; whatever it takes to get things done. He uses his talents to inspire his friends and allies, as well as to dominate his rivals. As a Changeling, Dom changes his face as often as his clothes to suit his current audience, as well as for fashion purposes. Dom has joined Strixhaven University to network with his peers and to see just how far his magical linguistic talents can take him. Silverquill seems like a perfect fit. (I will write a more detailed background if selected.)
Getting into a good school is no joke...
High Hopes, Low Rolls. Timezone Is EST.
Surely THIS one will reach an ending...

Bring out your inner chatacter class...
Yes, anything official. Strixhaven welcomes students from across the multiverse.
Leaving this open until the end of tomorrow and then will let people know on Thursday this week.
Thank you to all applicants. The school has sent their invitation to the selected few. In the event of a drop out I will reach out to someone else.
