“We are here at Dragon’s Rest,” then he points a spot on the South West “here are the Seagrow Caves. My friends live here. This is where that octopus thing was, just outside its entrance.” He then indicates to the Northernmost point of the isle “this must be where Varnoth said your ship is amongst these small islands.”
“Above the cave entrance are tall, sheer cliffs. There are a pair of narrow paths that lead down to the opening of you approach by land, but” he looks at you “if you approach by sea you may have an easier way. If you walk it will take you longer and the tide will be high. By then most of the entrance will be filled with water and you will have to swim to get in, but by sea will be quicker and you could arrive before the tide comes in and your way in will be less treacherous.”
"Ah yes, I can see how you can jump a fact-less conclusion based on the misfortunes of others. I assure you, none of us booked passage on a boat of undead, and we didn't see those in their current state until we arrived upon your shores. But yes, we are willing to put our lives at stake for the betterment of all as my colleague says and try to rid this island of this, dark magic as you refer to. When can we expect you to be ready to guide the way? You are willing to help protect those upon this place you call home, are you not?" Not waiting for a response, Sylvian stands up from her spot and says, "please lead on good sir, we would gladly help those in need while Varnoth makes preparations to inspect the ship remains with us."
When they reach Tarak's quarters, she apologizes to the group for he response to Varnoths accusation. "I really am trying to work on my reaction to prompting such as that, but instincts are hard to change. I hope this will not cause any grief to you and your work Tarak."
"As one who just got done floating in the ocean, excuse me for not jumping for joy at the opportunity to get back out on the seas. Though the tides are a complication we must consider, and I thank you you Tarak for your wisdom in that factor."
Jarin considers these facts for a moment before responding, "I would be lying if I said that taking the sea route wouldn't bother me, but because of recent events with our last ship...I also am hesitant to take to the sea. But I also am one for efficiency and get the job done right and quickly. I see your point in the area route." Jarin's hair switches from a shade of amber brown to a light shade of orange when he discusses the sea route.

"A boat would certainly make a sea approach easier," Willin comments drily. "Assuming this one doesn't get attacked by great flying reptiles, that is."
(Sylvian was going to suggest the shipwreck first but the accusation of the blame in the dinning hall kind of make her indicate that they were going to inspect the sea cave first. So she would pick the Sea Cave first but would happily go to the wreck first if thats what others wanted.)

(Jarin would want to fix the immediate danger first then move on to the sea cave)
"If this new threat came ashore with us—however unknowing—then we have a duty to remove it again," Willin muses aloud. "We should see to that, then investigate this 'octopus'."

"I agree with you Willin. We should quell this immediate threat and then head over to the sea cave." Jarin replies.
I mean, you could split the party, but that would be too much to manage and would be less fun and more dangerous. I suggest you do one, then if you complete it then do the other one.

Okay, sounds like the consensus is to check out the shipwreck.
That will put us at around 7am. It’s about 3 miles along that peninsula. It is currently low tide. And Tarak would have informed you that it will remain low tide until around noon. So your approach will be across land and shallow pools where those small “islands” are. It will probably take you around 3 hours to get to the shipwreck location if you travel straying there.
(Will Varnoth or Tarak be traveling with us? Either to the row boat or to the shipwreck? I'm guessing not but just curious after Sylvian tried to goad Varnoth into participating.)

They don’t plan on accompanying you, unless you could convince them otherwise.
Sylvian turns towards Tarak, "It appears we must first deal with those that arrived with us. But the use of your boat woukd greatly help speed up that task and allow us to swiftly move on to assisting your associates. Any suggestions to help aid our search of what remains of our previous transportation?"

So, you’ve been given 2 quests: go deal with what’s at the ship wreck or go to the sea cave and investigate what is going on with its inhabitants.
OOC: is there a way to do both tasks?

Is there anything you want to do before or whilst you travel?

Jarin overlooks his equipment and says a bit enthusiastically, "I'm ready to rid this land of the Undead. Let's get going."
