Bolstered by Clara's presence, Vrox resists whatever magic affects this room. He calls back at Azash, "You cannot win! The Peoples unite against you, and that Strength is enough to resist your schemes and violence! Your followers will be defeated, and your plans will come to naught!"
Khessa approaches Tyekanik, seeing his face contort briefly in pain: "Hey, are you okay, my friend?"
But the blonde arcane warrior barely has time to worry and approach, as her 'big friend' has already overcome the effect.
Lord Akkron, meanwhile, explains the powers of the two magic items to the party. The staff of healing could perhaps be used by Vrox, if he wanted [[ OOC: requires attunement by a Bard, Cleric, or Druid ]]; while the wand of the war mage might be of interest to more people [[ OOC: requires attunement by a Spellcaster ]] (though Lord Akkron and Khessa aren't interested, having already attunement with items they prefer).
[[ OOC: @DM: He was also examining the book... what about it? Is it a spellbook? ]]
[[OOC: @Aaggie - It's not clear to me. Once we succeed against the illusion, does the Darkness of the room subside? Or does the vision vanish and leave us once more in a dark room?]]
Khessa approaches Tyekanik, seeing his face contort briefly in pain: "Hey, are you okay, my friend?"
Tyekanik nods gruffly, "I'm OK." He's a little embarrassed that the Chaos demon had an effect on him. Tyek doesn't know how to express what happened, but the vision had made it seem like his rage was the same as that of Azash's own followers. It was distressing before Tyek realized that his own rage was used to some purpose or victory. It was part of the gift of Annam and empowered Tyek to take on great and powerful foes for the All-Father in the world. Azash's followers just revel in the violence and pain, waging eternal, furious battles with no purpose or goal other than the violence itself.

Once Vrox learns what Lord Akkron has found, he is fascinated. "This is a rare and powerful staff," he says, "blessed by the gods themselves. It could be a boon in our struggle against the Nefarious Duo." He will take possession of it and consider how best to juggle his attunement slots once they have time to rest. He puts the staff in his magical quiver.
The Golgari is holding his head with both hands, and slowly shakes it. "Is that what we'll become? Is that this great reward our leader is promising us? I fear we may have been decieved."
The Golgari leads you out of the room and into the hallway. The hallway goes straight, and has a branch going to the left. The Golgari points to the left. "That's the way down to the next level."
"I'm glad you realized that," Khessa gently places her hand on the Golgari's shoulder. "You and your people still have time to change your mind—and your future, with it."
The blonde arcane warrior follows the pointed branch, happy at the prospect that the dwarves can be saved—and that the Nefarious Duo will lose more followers.
Taking the branch, you go down the corridor, lit by sputtering lanterns to where two large closed doors are. Etched on the doors, are scenes from the Golgari past, but also there are signs from the battle long ago, scars on the face of the stone door. Burn marks, chips and gouges in the stone, showed a fight must have taken place here, perhaps a stand defending the door.
Khessa is relieved to see signs of a stand; perhaps the Nefarious Duo didn't have an easy time convincing the Golgari... and so perhaps it will be easier to convince them to abandon the lost cause of the evil gods of chaos. On the other hand, however, she is saddened, fearing that the opposition, forced by circumstances to face the forces of evil alone, has been defeated.
'I can't do anything about what's already happened...' the blonde arcane warrior opens the door with determination. 'But I can make sure things change for the better now!'

Vrox comforts the Golgari: "The Golgari of Uhubreen would not be the first peoples to be deceived by the lies and false promises of the Nefarious Duo. As Khessa said, at least you are seeing that clearly now. There's still time for the Golgari to turn away from this doomed path once we purge their foul influence from your halls."
He takes 10 psychic damage, he can roll again
You identify the staff as a Staff of Healing; the wand is a Wand of the War Mage +3
You hear a faint, deep chuckle as if far away
Like the others, you see through it as a frightening illusion
Tyekanik is stricken by the illusion when he first enters the room. He roars in pain and anger.
Tyek - WIS saving throw 21, with +6 from Clarac's Aura of Protection.
If we also get advantage from the Holy Avenger's aura, then it's 21
The vision causes the "little giant" some pain before he finally sees through it.

Vrox asks whether anyone wants to attempt some sort of scrying or divination. "Or should we just open the doors?"
Vrox can check the doors for any mundane or mechanical locks or traps. Someone else can check for magical wards.
