Vrox hurries into the northeast chamber again and looks at the portal. Listening to Lork Akkron, his brow furrows. He asks the wizard/lich, "If you think that it would help, I could try to dispelled the circle's magic? I don't suppose you can suppress the magic of the portal? Or...do you know whether it's possible to stop the spell by damaging the circle itself without suppressing its magic first? If so, I'm certain that Tyek, Khessa, and Clarac would enjoy a contest to see who could do the most damage the fastest!"
Vrox does not think that it's a good idea for Lord Akkron to use his most powerful magic until they're absolutely certain that this portal is the last (and most powerful) of the Nefarious Duo's evil influence in Uhubreen. Looking to Clarac, Vrox asks, "How about you, fair knight? Does your divine power give you any way to forbid the devils from coming through the portal into this plane? Or of barring such a portal?"
If Lord Akkron thinks that it's worth a try, Vrox will attempt to cast Dispel Magic on the portal. He can also upcast that spell it if Lord Akkronbelieves that it would guarantee that the spell would be effective in disabling the portal.
[[ OOC: Vrox can only upcast to level 5. If the portal is a higher-level spell than that, I guess there's no benefit in upcasting, right? ]]
Seeing the mysterious phenomenon, Khessa smiles and warns the party: "I think something big is coming... and we'll have thus to keep doing the 'fun way'!"
The portal circles begins to glow and a small vortex of red and purple rise up into a tight line, and slowly begins to expand.
Vrox moves swiftly back into the adjoining chamber so that he's not too close to whatever is coming through the portal when it arrives. He finds to a column that is still in the line-of-sight of the portal and leans up against the far side of the column, both to gain some cover and hopefully to hide.

Tyekanik's rage probably ended while the group was discussing what to do with the magic circle, but he chuckles at Khessa's words. He says, "Feels like BIG fun is coming!" He steps back, 15-ft away from the portal (the limit of his reach) and as he watches the demonic portal open, he begins to rage again, growing to Large-size, ready to throw himself into a glorious fight that's worthy of Anman's champion.
I have a way to stop this, at least for now,he says. Khessa... your specialty is Abjuration. We can use your private sanctum to prevent interplanar travel for 24 hours. The spell may takes10 minutes to cast, but I can keep the portal contained long enough to prevent anything from forcing its way through... or at least from attacking us while you cast the spell... I can use a wall of force to create a dome over the portal that should keep any enemy completely contained until the sanctum is finished.
You can sense the energy involved in the portal is not natural, demonic and powerful, almost god-like

Sensing that this portal's power is beyond his ability to dispell, Vrox backs away: "I've got a bad feeling about this portal."

Hide - Stealth: 36 (advantage from Shadowfell Brand Tattoo)

Bonus Action: rage, imbuing Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver with thunder damage and growing to Large size.
Lord Akkron pauses... then, something clicks.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
