When it becomes apparent that Flute is exerting her power and preventing the Nefarious Duo from getting to the party, Vrox emerges from his hiding spot. He cries, "Praise be to Aphrael!" He stows his shield so that he can play along with his own pan flute: it's not every day that you get to make music with the gods! Performance29, advantage from Enhance Ability
While he plays, Vrox looks around at the transformed room, looking to see whether there's still an exit that would take them away from the Nefarious Duo. He's not entirely sure whether those two are come to Uhubreen, transforming it with their presence, or whether the Nefarious Duo pulled the whole party into their own realm to torment them. He suspects it's the former, in which case, perhaps they can just retreat back down the stairs to the south while Flute holds the Nefarious Duo back. Perception25
Azash and Slaanesh appear to become more frustrated as it seems the wall of force now encircles them, pinning them in place. Then behind you, a great shaft of golden light appears, and the warped walls much like a lava lamp, appear to be wrestling with the golden light until the room disappears, and you are all standing on an empty plain with blowing grass in the wind.
From behind you, Flute comes prancing out playing her flute, followed by two great dwarven figures wearing plate armor, one silver, one grey. Behind them comes a great warrior that looks like the Vikings of old, with a patch over his right eye, two crows on his shoulders, and a great spear. Then four more beings approach, heavily armored carrying great weapons that they place points down into the ground. The form a wall behind you, staring at the two contained Chaos beings.
Yoht murmurs in awe, "Grimnir!", the prince looking at the other dwarven figure, "Grungni!" Flute moves up to join the group, then stops playing and puts down her flute with her impish grins. "I brought my cousins this time, though the Troll Gods were being stuck up and didn't accept my invitation."
Khessa runs to Flute and ruffles her hair in a friendly way: "You did very well, little one! What are you planning now? Shall we all teach those two a good lesson together, shall we? Or can we keep them imprisoned where they are for all eternity—an eternity they'll no doubt find boring and incredibly frustrating?"
Azash and Slaanesh stare defiantly back at the host of deities standing behind you. "You were warned about interfering with the humans directly," rumbled one of the gods. "It seems time as dulled your senses and you don't recall what happened the last time you interfered and almost brought this world to ruin."
"Perhaps this time, we wipe out all of their followers, so they can't get their power and they will diminish, going back to the void. We should have never allowed any of their followers to live."
The Dwarven deity of the Golgari, Grungni, lifts his axe and points it at Azash. "You took my children, pulled them from their path. I have been waiting a long time to take a crack at splitting your ugly head open!"
The gods all lift their weapons and point them at the two. "So what say you, shall we finally dance after all of the years, and put it to a final test?"

Vroxstops playing his pan flute and stows the instrument. He quietly gets his Dragon's Wrath Longbow back out of his magic quiver and hides behind cover, as far away from the Nefarious Duo as he can. He waits to see whether this really turns into a fight between the gods and, if so, how he can help!
Khessa responds to the gods: "I fear it is inevitable, guys... Those two have amply demonstrated that they are beyond all redemption—and reason. If left alive, they would continue to be a threat to everyone and everything in the multiverse forever. This must end".
The blonde arcane warrior feels strangely calm as she says these words. After all, it's no different from so many other times, when she's faced some legendary threat to prevent it from harming the world and the common folk that inhabit it. Okay, so this time the enemies are the most dangerous she's ever encountered. They are deities. But knowing that there are other deities at her side... she has no fear and is ready, if necessary, to do her part.
Azash and Slaanesh seemed perplexed to what to do. All of the deities who stand behind you begin to glow a golden nimbus as Flute begins to play her pipes. A golden aura surrounds the two chaos entities, and then it shrinks until they are no longer there.
"Hah, good riddance to bad garbage" grumbled Grimnir, then he looked at the prince and Yoht. "You two, with us, now!" The two Dwavern gods lead the two off to the side and begin speaking directly to them. The main human looking god comes around and stands before the group.
"You're right Flute, this group is very impressive, you have our thanks as another direct confrontation with those two would have shattered your world. Taken them to your island Flute, the deserve a good rest." With that, they gods depart leaving only Flute, who begins to play a soothing tune on her flute. A fog seems to rise around you and when you awake, your back on Flutes Island.
"Rest easy here friends, rejuvenate and take a well-earned brake before you return to the mortal world."
[[ OOC: If I understand correctly... is this the epilogue? Has the Nefarious Duo been defeated? Or is this just another confrontation won by the party and the war continues? ]]
Before falling asleep, Khessa smiles and creates a few colorful magic bubbles for Flute. Playfully ruffling her hair, she asks: "What were you able to do to Azash and Slaanesh, my little one? Will we still have to worry about them? Or, with the support of the other gods, were you able to do something... permanent?"

"They were banished back to the nether regions and severed from the mortal plane so they can't touch it. They can still influence their followers, but can't directly interfere any longer, for at least a little while."
[[ OOC: Since we've decided to end the campaign at this point, let's just post Khessa's "homecoming," so as not to leave things half-finished. ]]
Khessa draws her conclusions from what the child-goddess is telling her: "And while they're there, it will be possible to deprive them of their faithful, as you were discussing earlier. Then they will be condemned to disappear into the void, and their threat will end once and for all." She smiles, magically producing luminous bubbles for her divine interlocutor. "Well done, Flute! You've managed to coordinate gods and mortals so admirably! The multiverse owes you a great deal! Oh, and of course, you're invited to my house! My children, Yondra and Sarvin, absolutely must meet you! You'll have so much fun playing together—the first time you have a free hour or are in the mood to alter the fabric of time and create a free hour for yourself."
The blonde arcane warrior also bids farewell to the fellow adventurers she's met on this new continent: "Making new, interesting friends is always the most fun part of this 'job' of mine! Now I must hurry back to my continent—and to my home, where my family awaits me. But if you ever feel like taking a trip and want to visit me in Phandalin, you're now friends... and my friends are always welcome!"
The final invitation is for the other adventurer who came with her from across the ocean: "Master Akkron, it goes without saying that this invitation is especially important to you... I think you'll be pleased to see how much Yondra and Sarvin, my children, have grown! And if one day you decide to move to Phandalin for a while, nothing could please me more! After a while, no one there would be surprised by you anymore... They've gotten used to me... They've gotten used to Tookrash... If there's a town whose inhabitants can quickly get used to you, too, it's Phandalin!"
And so it is that days later, the tall adventuress, followed by her faithful Alfred and Anator fluttering around her, arrives in the courtyard of her home in Phandalin. She had been in regular contact with her family through magical dreams, so her arrival isn't a real surprise... but the enthusiasm of the two lively half-elves, her children, is as great as ever! She doesn't even have time to show them the gifts she bought for them on the other continent before leaving—but no matter, there'll be time for that later.
Even her elf husband, High Cleric Jasper, though with more elven composure, doesn't hide his joy at seeing her again: "You brought home a 'souvenir' for yourself, too, eh?" He points to Wave of Sorrow. "Actually, it seemed to me you were a bit short on weapons..."
"I have a 'souvenir' for you, too!" Khessa laughs, kissing him. "You know, it seemed to me you were short on sacred relics..." she winks.
"A relic of immense power!" Jasper immediately realizes, as the blonde arcane warrior gives him the statuette. "Meddling in the affairs of the gods pays off, then... when you manage to survive, of course."
"It really does..." Khessa smiles, thinking of her most precious treasure, the most intangible one: her friendship with Flute. "And I'm convinced that one day I'll be able to show you just how much... You, if you ever hear the sound of a flute approaching, let me know, okay?"
