Brother Maynard nods, "I will check in with the chapel here one more time, and will join you all in the morning before we head out," He turns and leaves the basement.
"I will head to my camp just outside of town,"Tyekanik says, adding, "These soft small beds in the inns are never as comfortable as the hard earth. I will be ready to travel when you all are." He then heads to a market to buy what would be a feast for a normal person for his own dinner and breakfast the next morning.
"If there is nothing else, I will head to my room and grab some much needed rest, it has been an interesting couple of days. Night all." At which point Mal will head to her room and go to sleep.
Thinking as she falls asleep, I should have visited the professor house as he did seem a bit nervous that we stole the idol from there, maybe early in the morning before we head out.
"I could certainly afford to rest for a bit," he says. "And in the morning we can reduce the Zemoch camp to a smoking crater... though... we should probably first make sure they don't have any unfortunates being held as slaves or future sacrifices before we start bombarding them... I would like to avoid collateral damage as much as possible. Anyway, we can discuss our strategy further in the morning."

“Oh, 'bombarding them'…” Khessa smiles “Are you toying with the idea of raining meteors from the sky on them, Master Akkron? If so, yes, it would probably be best to check first if there is anyone to save, either with some divination or by helping a rather stealthy person" her thoughts go to Mal "to sneak in".
You all rest up, so you are fully rested, counting as a long rest. In the morning, a great meal is prepared by the Inn, and Sparhawk states "They may not have a lot of supplies, but if you need anything, let the inn keeper know." Once your breakfast is done, Sparhawk leads you out into the Inn's stable area where all of your horses are ready, saddled and have some bags of provisions for you and your mounts ties behind the saddles. Sparhawk's large black warhorse is ready, and he is going over the bridles as his squire ties some supplies like extra lances to the side of a pack horse.
Brother Maynard arrives and greets everyone. When Tyekanik arrives, he is given a large light warhorse to ride. Sparhawk mounts his horse Faran. "From what details we have gathered, the ruins of where the Zemochs appear to be possibly operating from are to the east, in Argatha, very much similar to what the professor stated. Challenge of course, is the distance, about a week's ride. Hopefully, as we have been well seen here, and our enemy's eyes and ears have been poked out, it will be enough I hope to keep their eyes looking towards the coast, instead of to the east."
With that, Sparhawk turns Faran and leads the party out of the Inn and takes the road out of the University and heads north. After an hour or so, he takes a road to the east. By late afternoon, it has been an uneventful ride, only passing trade caravans, some students heading to the university, or simple farmer. As you are traveling across a large farmer's field and sheep grazing area, you hear the sound of Shepeard's pipes. Then there is a tree along the road, and sitting up in a large branch, is a small girl playing the pipes. Ther sound of the pipes are rather soothing, any aches from the ride appear to go away. Sparhawk seems to recognize the girl, as does Brother Maynard and even Faran the Warhorse.
"Hello Flute," Sparhawk calls out to the little girl, "Odd to see you out here, is something amis?" The little girl is strikingly cute, dressed in a simple sheep hearding dress, barefoot with grass stains on them, and her pipes. "You are taking your sweet time about this," she simply states, "I am being allowed to provide you some assistance, as the other side is cheating."
Brother Maynard asks, "Why it doesn't surprise me to hear that they are cheating, just so soon?" Brother Maynard seems to be familiar with Flute as well. She smiles impishly at Maynard. "Thery always cheat, you know that. They have in the past, and will continue to do the same. So enough talk, let's get moving." She jumps down from the branch, and walks over to Sparhawk, and as she raises her hand to him, he leans down to grab her and lift her up so she can sit in front of him on Faran's broad neck. Even Faran seems happy for a warhorse to have her sitting on him. She pauses for a moment, like she is thinking, then using her foot, taps Faran's neck, and he starts moving off.
As you observe this interaction between Flute and Sparhawk, your sense she is not really what she appears to be, but no threat to anyone.
Khessa has a very positive impression of Flute, considering that at the mere sound of her music any aches from the ride suddenly went away and that both Maynard and Sparhawk (to say nothing of Faran) were pleased to see her.
The blonde arcane warrior cares little if she is not really what she appears to be... for her it is more than enough that the little girl is no threat to anyone! She's a little surprised, however, that no one is making introductions... so she steps forward! Coming alongside her horse, she smiles at her new friend and passes a hand through her hair, ruffling it: "What a beautiful young lady you are! You are of a sparkling beauty!" she winks, while the fingers that ruffle the locks leave a trail of multicolored sparks"And so your name is Flute? What a beautiful name! I'm Khessa, nice to meet you! My brother Anator too" the bat emerges from under the blond hair to be seen "and my butler Alfred" the construct, who remained behind Khessa, on a large quasi-real, horselike creature who she had summoned, nods his head politely "are happy to see you! You can consider us all your friends if you want! And these individuals who travel with us are..." ...and at that point she introduces the others one by one.
"Since you offer us assistance," the tall adventuress then says "I assume you already know what we're trying to do... So thank you! As you can imagine, in such a big task, any help is welcome! Are you an envoy of the young gods, beautiful?" then, looking at her, she realizes that Flute is young after all... and if she's not what she seems... "Or are you even the avatar of one of them?"
Akkron would smile if he still had lips... normally, he would object to a child being allowed to join such a dangerous mission, but the fact that a Sir Sparhawk and Brother Maynard both welcome her presence, along with the fact that she approached a group containing an undead without a second thought, tells him plainly that this is not an ordinary child.
"I once had a little girl..." the lich says sadly as he gazes at the child who is not what she seems. "Well, that was a long time ago... if Sir Sparhawk and Brother Maynard wish for you to join us, then who am I, a dusty old corpse, to say otherwise? So I bid you welcome, young lady."

Before mounting her horse, Mal places her hands on either side of its face scratching just below its ears and has a little conversation with it. "Such a magnificent animal you are, I am lucky to have such a mount as you. I promise all the apples you want if you make this trip as easy and as comfortable as you can for me." With a final gently pat on the side of its neck, Mal will look around the yard and grab a bag of apples and tie them to the saddle, offering one of the apples to the horse before they leave.
Traveling across the land Mal keeps an eye out as she lounges in the saddle enjoying the trip offering up an apple whenever the horse turns its head back, snuffling at the bag. She perks up a bit when she hears the music and is even more curious when they discover where the music is coming from but relaxes once more as Sparhawk and Maynard do not seem to be on edge. She nods a hello when introduced by Khessa and then goes back to her lounging in the saddle and keeping an eye on the surroundings. She knows the further out they get from the city the more chance of some kind of an encounter.
Tyekanik looks for the largest of horses in the stables, unsure that any will be able to carry him and his great axe. In the morning he again feasts more than any normal person, even of his size, should be able to eat, and takes anything remaining to snack on while they travel.
He asks to their new guide, “And how are they cheating already?”

Flute looks up at Sparhawk. "You have nice friends, well mannered. Better than some of those others. Maybe I can introduce them to my family on my island, they can see people can be polite and well-mannered."
She looks over and gives you a dimpled grin. "Thank you for your compliments, I like your friends you have with you. An envoy of the gods, no, not really though I have to say that I do serve in that capacity from time to time, especially when dealing with the stuffy old god for the Elenes here." She points with her thumb up at Sparhawk who sighs and shakes his head. Brother Maynard rolls his eyes. "Flute, that's not nice, you should know better."
She smiles impishly back at you. "Perhaps later I will let you know more, as I might be stretching the rules some."

She looks at you with very understanding eyes, eyes that seem much older than what she should have. "I have never met anyone like you before, perhaps we can sit down and talk. I imagine having a conversation with you will be much more enjoyable then talking with Sparhawk here, or even Maynard who studies history, but sometimes has some difficulties in grasping some of the details." Brother Maynard rolls his eyes again. "I have done my best Flute, if I recall, you placed me on this path of knowledge." She giggles in return. "Well of course I did, you have the gift that the Elenes haven't had in so long. You are the best, are you not?" Maynard nods, and smiles back at her.
She looks back to Akkron, and speaks with a serious undertone. "I respect your loss, time can be cruel one one's path is very long, and the others are shorter."
Tyekanik looks for the largest of horses in the stables, unsure that any will be able to carry him and his great axe. In the morning he again feasts more than any normal person, even of his size, should be able to eat, and takes anything remaining to snack on while they travel.

Flute nods, "They always cheat. I would be shocked if they didn't. Cheaters never win, right?"
She smiles impishly back at you. "Perhaps later I will let you know more, as I might be stretching the rules some."
"Way to go, Flute!" Khessa smiles back "I always like stretching the rules some; else, what fun would there be in having rules?"
Then, ruffling the little girl's hair (and letting perfumed colored bubbles fly around) one last time, the blonde arcane warrior resumes her original place in the marching order.
"I like her Sparhawk, why can't you have more friends like her?" Flute asks with a grin, looks back at Khessa and winks, before settling back and begins to play her pipes. Once again, the sound takes away any feeling of being tired or sore. Then you feel like you are falling asleep, and a light fog is beginning to grow around you until you cannot see anything. After a short while, you all snap awake, like you have been dozing and not realizing it. When you get your full senses, you are not moving while still on your horses, on a ridge overlooking a valley. Sparhawk is looking down into the valley.
Seeing you are fully awake, he turns and rides over to you all. "Well, we're here. With Flute's assistance, we have traveled all the way, and are in the area of the ruins. Now we just have to locate them, and then root out the Zemochs."
Before dozing at Flute's new melody, Khessa has the time to think: 'For now I can't know for sure who this little girl is exactly... but she's certainly very nice! As soon as we sort this thing out, I have to invite her to visit me at home, to Phandalin! I'll introduce her to my children, Yondra and Sarvin! So she'll have a few more friends!'
When she recovers from the strange (and probably supernatural) dozing, in the area of the ruins, the blonde arcane warrior proposes: "If we have no better methods of divination, I can send my brother Anator to explore the valley... He can fly, he can perceive even things that are invisible... and, above all, it has the appearance of an animal, so it should not arouse suspicion even if it were seen".
Starling awake Mal looks around and then suspiciously looks over FLute some more, Will have to ask Sparhawk a few more questions about Flute sometime in the foreseeable future.
"Sounds like a plan Khessa and once he returns with more of a layout of the place, I can also sneak in and see what I see." Mal grins mischievously.
“I may be large, but I know how to be quiet when needed. Sometimes getting close provides more easily accessible skulls to bash after all,” Tyekanik replies with a grin.
"Okay, then!" Khessa smiles - and almost immediately the bat that usually remains hidden under her thick golden locks, at the base of her neck, takes flight.
(OOC: @DM: Khessa will maintain telepathic contact with Anator, her familiar - and brother - unless the distance becomes excessive. If he accidentally finds himself in danger she will return him to his pocket dimension and, immediately afterwards, have him reappear next to her. However, if no mishaps occur, she waits for Anator to complete his first reconnaissance, find the Zemoch base, get a general idea of the layout of the place and return to report).
