The men trapped inside the gas cloud are trying to claw their way out, but the wall of force successfully contains them and the gas though they try desperately.
...And Khessa simply keeps concentration on the invisible (and indestructible) dome of pure force. There is no pity in her blue eyes for those men. They captured and sacrificed common folk. Innocent people. The faces of her children, Yondra and Sarvin, come to her mind. Those men would have sacrificed them also. To a dark god with delusion of grandeur.
The blonde arcane warrior is not pleased by their slow agonizing death. But not too pained either. They have earned it.
Impassible like death herself, the tall adventuress keeps watching. Watching them die.
Tyekanik actually is quite good at knots, having spent quite a bit of time on his boat when not fighting the evils of the world. He ties up the prisoner and tosses the man over his shoulder, not even attempting to avoid bonking the man's head as they go through doorways.
The prisoner is secured, and you are still in the barracks room. From your area of the "L" shaped room, you see a door the SE corner, facing south. The room has bunks, a footlocker in front of each, an armor stand for their armor, and weapons racks on the wall to hand their weapons.
[[ OOC: So... the enemies imprisoned in the magical 'gas chamber' are by now dead, I assume? May I know how much time has passed since we entered the dungeon? Khessa needed 10 minutes to ritual-cast Comprehend Languages, then there was the exploration done so far and the two clashes (first with the gargoyles and now with the occupants of the barraks). I'd like to know because Khessa has a Ring of Regeneration on her finger... so she recovers HP over time. ]]
With a final cold look at the pile of enemies poisoned to death by the gas, Khessa compliments her mentor: "Well done, Master Akkron! Our two well-coordinated spells have proven to be an exceptionally effective combination. We should just have seriously decimated the occupants of this place".
"Thank you too, friends," the blonde arcane warrior smiles at Mal and Tyekanik "for taking care of those who weren't trapped!"
Checking with Detect Magic, does it appear that there is magical equipment in the barraks? Or is it all non-magical weapons and armor?
"Indeed... simple, efficient, and extremely effective," he says, poking one of the bodies with his staff.
Then he turns his attention to the prisoner. He approaches the man, then reaches down with a bony hand to grab the man by the collar and pulls him close enough that the human's face is nearly touching the lich's ancient skull.
"Now... do you speak the Common tongue? Or are you just as useless as the Ashen Rider that we left outside?"

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

Yes, over time they will expire. We can go ahead and skip past that part.
In the main barracks room, you do not detect any magical armor or weapons. As you sweep around though, you are drawn to the door in the base of the "L" that was facing due south.

Akkron's empty eye sockets remain unreadable as he regards the man coldly.
"Good... now tell us where the key to that door is, and whether there are any traps. Then tell me if any more of your friends are still hiding in these ruins that need to be dispatched. If you lie to me, then I promise you will wish you perished in the gas. Your fate will be spoken of in terrified whispers for a hundred generations if you dare to defy me in any way."

He appears overwhelmed with all of the questions you are asking, fear written on his face as he keeps looking at the pile of bodies of those who were in the cloud kill.
"I don't know where the key is, the captain has it. The room is locked only, I don't know of any traps. These people here are not my friends, they just pay me. These Zemochs are a crazy sort and there are a good number of them down here."
Akkron chuckles at Khessa's comment, then turns his attention back to the prisoner.
"Then it seems that you made a very poor choice of employer," Akkron says. "The world will burn if the Zemochs get their way, and I doubt their allies will be spared."
He then lets the man fall to the floor at his feet.
"Someone shove a rag in his mouth, we don't need him alerting the Zemochs that we're here," the lich says as he joins the group at the door. "We can decide his fate after we finish dealing with the dark elves."

With the man knocked out, Mal will grab some rope and tie him up asking Tye for some help as she has never been good with knots.
