Vrox volunteers to go first and determine which way they went. Stone may not leave much of a trail, but the smell of brimstone and the scratches from its claws may be enough.
As you look inside, the wounded demon is in the center of the room, panting from its wounds. Two man at arms stand at its side. The doors behind it are open, you can smell the sulfur and scent of the demons going both to the left up the stairs, and to the right.

[[ OOC: Oops! Maybe I misunderstood. It sounded like the demons fled, and Khessa and the others at the doorway could no longer see them. I thought that if we were opening the doors and chasing after them, Vrox could go first and scout/track them. ]]
Vrox pushes forward to scout, but then he sees the demon sitting in the middle of the chamber. "Oops!", he says, "the injured one stayed there?! Hm. I wonder why it didn't run with the others. Rear guard? Or 'bait' to draw us in? They came through those doors straight ahead, right?" Since there's still a demon in the next chamber, Vrox hangs back and lets Khessa, Tyek, and Clarac decide whether to storm in to attack. He'll try to hang out in the northeast corner of the current chamber, gaining some cover from anything in the next room. He draws his bow and fires at the marked demon as soon as he has a clear shot past his allies.
If Vrox gets a clear shot:
Movement: Move up to the NE corner, using the wall as cover. Action: Two attacks on the demon with Dragon's Wrath Longbow (150/600) Attack 1: 29 Damage: 10 (magical piercing, including HM dmg) + 14 (radiant) = 24 (total) Attack 2: 19 Damage: 15 (magical piercing, including HM dmg) + 7 (radiant) = 22 (total) The first hit does an additional 2 (psychic), or if it was a critical hit, 5 (psychic) Bonus Action: After firing his bow, he ducks back out of the doorway toHide - Stealth27 (using Vanish feature) Free Action: Talking
If they decide to move into the next chamber, Vrox sniffs the air and rubs his nose in distaste. He'll enter the next chamber, but he remains near the doors on the west side, letting the melee fighters engage their foes. He warns his friends: "Be careful! The stench of demons is heavy in the air, both to the left and to the right."

Khessa, no less suspicious than Vrox of the wounded demon choosing to 'wait' for them, waits in turn, ready to pierce with her Death Lance anyone who restarts the assault on the advantage position that the group has built.
"Our enemy has decided to help us practice ranged shooting, it seems..." the blonde arcane warrior smiles, seeing the first arrow hit the target. Many other members of the party, probably, have the opportunity to attack from range with impunity now...
Khessa turns to her mentor for a moment: "Shall we join the target practice, Master Akkron?" after which, she hurls a mote of fire at the nearest man-at-arms.
The last man at arms attacks Tyek: attack Attack: 16 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.; Attack: 16 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.; Attack: 24 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Khessa must admit that her suspects were not well founded... the enemies just went down and no trap was sprung. She then charges the surviving man at arms, trying to literally impale him on the Death Lsnce.
