Merrick fires a arrow at the red tendril, realizing that these are keeping his friends from moving around in this crucial time of battle. He then runs up behind Sir Garamon and hides behind him again. Unfortunately, he steps on a root, which makes a loud cracking noise.

Before Merrick's turn, Seven raises the Red tendril again!

Merrick then shoots it down! 

Muireach is standing uncomfortably close with Seven. He feels, however, that he could lose his footing at any moment. He is standing on what seems like a soft and squishy flower petal.

How dare you touch me, idiot! Seven's vines stretch up toward Muireach, who seems to be the target of her ire, Get off! (Attack on Muireach! Attack1: 11, Attack2: 26, Damage1:14, Damage2: 14, slashing)

Vivi tightly grips her scythe and tries to call out, "S-Seven, we don't have to fight..." However, it seems no one can hear her. She makes an attack against the Blue tendril that seems to want to shoot Dyoken down! It seems to die.

DK manages to grab all the spines that come his way! He either pockets them or drops them, then continues to climb up the stalk using his machete and dagger. Seven's voice winces in his head, I have plenty of friends.

You would only get in the way. Only Master can defeat Grimmore. Only he knows how to kill Death. 

Seven takes a legendary action to revive the Red tendril!

Spade Red tendril attempts to grapple Wedge, but he manages to wrangle himself away from its leafy grasp.

Frilly Green tendril tries to spit more fumes at Vivi, but they have no effect.

Bigs is still writing furiously in her journal, but she is at least walking away murmuring, "Yea, yea, I'll get to safety, geez."

Wedge pummels the Red tendril until it is dead.

Luthok is tapping his staff against Seven's roots, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. However, the spores from his beard fly and attach themselves to Seven turning parts of her green stem into a sickly brown color.

Garamon and Fungustus hold their ground eyeing the downed Red tendril suspiciously. It would seem to you all that they have readied an action to down the Red tendril should Seven revive it again.

(Note: Sorry, no beautiful post for this phase in combat or updated map. At work and have no access to my files for that.)

Dyoken climbs onto the petal with Muireach. "Friends who torture you?" he swipes and stabs, Recklessly hitting 16 for 8 and 24 for 5, as well as making a 'Sneak' Attack for 4.

Merrick, seeing the vines come back and back again, fires an arrow at the monstrous Seven. The bowstring slips on his fingers, but by sheer stroke of kithkin luck, the string rebounds and fires the arrow in a straight line right at Seven's head. He then ducks again under Sir Garamon.

(OOC: Not sure if my stealth check from last turn worked or not. Using halfing luck trait to reroll the 1, then attacking with advantage reroll if stealth. If not, just use first roll)

Luthok slams his staff into the stem of the plant monster in front of him. "You should just be glad I used most of my staffs power raising this mushy bastard over 'ere" 
Once again spores burst from his beard the second he hits the monster.

Action: Attack with staff 7 DMG: 9 + 4 poison dmg
Reaction:  Halo of spores: 6 poison dmg

(Poking Muireach!)

Muireach will now stab Seven’s plant body in the side! Attack: 15 Damage: 11 magic slashing damage + 2 necrotic damage.

Muireach will also cast Shield on that hit that she landed!

Merrick goes to hide behind Garamon as his shot magnificently connects with Seven's body. However, it seems there are snapping twigs here too! Snap, snap!

Muireach tries to stabby stabby, but it no happy. (No hits!)

Idiots. Idiots. Idiots! Seven starts swinging in a circle, she seems to be trying to get Muireach and Dyoken off of her body! I said, get off!!!! (Make me some Athletics or Acrobatics checks. Beat a 15, or be thrown to the ground for 6 bludgeoning!) 

Regardless of if anyone gets thrown off, Seven will follow up with a vine whippin' to DK. (Attack: 19, Damage:11 slashing, Disadvantage if DK is still on the stalk: 19)

Up, up, up!!! The dead flowers rise again! Are they unflowers?

"Stop fighting!" Vivi shouts. She tries to scythe down the blue tendril, but it dodges her attack.

DK, either holding on with all his might or mid-fall, manages to get in some more sick attacks - and words. 

Torture. HA! Do you t-think I was tortured? Nonsense!

Blue Tendril attacks Muireach! (Attack: 5, Damage: 4 poison.)

When the Red Tendril pops back up to attack, both Garamon and Fungustus manage to pummel it down again.

Green Tendril attacks Vivi with noxious gas! It actually seems to take effect this time. Vivi looks woozy...

"Get that leafy monster down, Wedge," Bigs shouts. "Work on keeping down these plants."

Wedge silently nods. He walks over and tries to down the Green Tendril, but doesn't seem able to. 

Luthok hits particularly hard at Seven's roots. She screams loudly - actually using her mouth this time. It sounds throaty and you hear more and more wheezing from her.

Garamon looks at  Fungustus, "Hey! You know... wouldn't you be more useful taking down that blue one?"

"Eh?"

Garamon picks up Fungustus and lobs him over to the Blue Tendril. Somehow, he manages to not kill Fungustus AND kill the Blue Tendril using Fungustus' body as a weapon.

"EHHH!?"

Dyoken holds tight as she spins (Athletics: 18) very tight.

DK hardly notices the slash through his Rage.

"I do! Your master doesn't care about you. He sent you here to die." He slashes her then punches her in the ribs with the butt of his dagger, Recklessly hitting 24 for 9 and 23 for 6 and 2 'Sneak' Attack.

Muireach will slam the butt of Calibolg into the side of Seven, alongside Dyoken, “You and I will be having a conversation after this, Seven!” Attack: 16 Damage: 7 magic slashing + 1 necrotic damage!

Luthok jabs the plant with the bottom end of his staff. "She won't be doing much talking when I've made mulch of her plant-lookin' ass, knife-ear!" 


Action: Shillelagh attack: 13 DMG: 7 + 5 poison dmg
Reaction: 6 poison dmg

Merrick pulls out his rapier, and runs past the monstrous seven, cutting past the stalk as he circles around and hides once again behind Sir Garamon. "This is getting tiresome, now! Surrender!"

Merrick runs circles around Seven with his Rapier, slashing and dashing as he goes. With a finishing flourish that reminds Dyoken of a samurai he once met, Merrick clicks his rapier back into its sheath. As he does, the monstrous Seven topples to the ground just barely not crushing Luthok beneath her. 

Muireach and Dyoken both roll onto their feet and stand close to Seven's body. Muireach, hoping to knock Seven out, hits her with the butt of his blade, but all this did was open up a wound on Seven's forehead.

Dyoken slashes at Seven and punches her, each attack more reckless than the last.

At this point, Muireach and Dyoken get a better look at Seven's face as the black veil falls off.

Seven's tongue dangles loosely from the top of her throat. A hiss gargles from the back of her throat as saliva freely drips to the ground below. From the upper lip to the top of her head, Seven appears just as beautiful as you remembered her, but her missing lower jaw seemed to be the stuff of nightmares. 

No! Don't look! 

Seven suddenly lashes out, a vine hitting Dyoken and Muireach each! She keeps screaming. 

Don't look at me! Stop!

(Muireach: 15, 13 slashing)
(Dyoken: 22, 6 slashing)

Finally, Luthok actually has the killing blow, which he may narrate in any way he would like. How does Luthok put an end to Seven??

Luthok steps up to the body of his nearly dead foe and plants a boot on her forehead. Within a second he has his staff hanging mere inches over gaping hole what used to be her mouth. The dwarf puts one hand on the top of his staff and thrusts it down, cracking the back of her neck with the blow. Silence. Luthok twists his staff. A mushy splatter followed by the gnawing of splintered bones on enchanted staff break the calm of night. As the staff is pulled away Luthok spits on his fallen foe and black mould starts spreading from the killing wound, rapidly. 

*Hack pthu* "Should'a killed you the first time.."

The black mould spreads faster and faster as a final wheeze and hack escapes Seven's lips. After a few moments, her body seems to disintegrate into what almost seems like fireflies that vanish after several seconds. All that's left of Seven in this material world is a small, yellow gemstone in a marquise cut.

Muireach picks up the gemstone and observes it, “Fascinating...” 

He swallows it.

 "Well, I hope that passes... Let's get back to bed." Dyoken says. He looks to Bigs, "If you are frightened, it may put you at ease, if you'd like to spend the rest of the night with me." He suggests, gesturing toward his tent...

Vivi looks on to Muireach with a sad face. She is totally pouting.

Muireach, however, feels nothing.

Oh my, you will have a fun time passing that, I think. Calibolg laughs.

Muireach coughs a bit, “Well, that definitely doesn’t work. One moment please!” Muireach walks behind a tree, where one can clearly hear violent wretching. Muireach then returns to the group, polishing off the gem, “That was unpleasant! Here you are Vivi.” He hands the girl the gem.
