“Fine work, Vivi. A apprentice befitting the King of Heroes.” Muireach, not being one to leave a job unfinished, strikes out in a flash toward the burning gnoll, “You’re right! This is funny!” Green Flame Blade: Attack: 20 Damage: 17 magic slashing and 5 fire damage to another within 5 feet.

Muireach absolutely slaughters the fiery gnoll. Blood spurts and leaves drops on his cheek. 

"It isn't funny!" The gnoll grappled by DK whines before he is extinguished by Merrick's blade.

Vivi straight up decapitates the remaining gnoll. 

There are no survivors.

"Blood on your face," Vivi points out to Muireach. 

Now that they are dead, you are free to continue your pursuit of the girl. I need:

Everyone's perception
Someone's survival

Oh, and everyone earns 100 EXP!!

Dyoken tries to get back on the trail, "Marcy! Elder Maddock sent us to find you!" He calls. (Perception: 20, Survival: 9)

"Mongrel.." Luthok spits at the twitching body of a dead gnoll. (Perception: 18)

Muireach sheathes Calibolg and looks at the gnoll’s body, “Was it not? You’ll have to forgive me. I’m still working on this plane’s sense of humor.” At Vivi’s remark, Muireach wipes his cheek, “Ah, thank you, Vivi. Excellent work.”

Merrick nods. "Big disgrace."

DK is again much like a bloodhound. He follows the girl's trail into the grove. He follows it, however, a bit too closely - During this time, everyone else in the group manages to spot a snare on the ground! Muireach even catches a glimpse of two horns - long. One pointy, and the other broken. 

Suddenly, DK is yanked upside down with a rope tight around his ankle. That's when you see a hooded figure leap out from behind a bush, pointing at you triumphantly!

"I've got you, you miserable-" A young tiefling girl leaps from the brush, twin curved short swords drawn. "Stole's eyes, who in the nine hells are you lot?"

She drops into a defensive stance, ready to turn heel and run if need be. Her eyes dart between the members of the party, settling for a moment on the half-elf and her badass scythe. Obviously outnumbered, she begins inching backwards toward the treeline.

 “Oh by the way, there was a tiefling over there.” Muireach gives a warning too late. Muireach shrugs, “In any case, young one, are you Mercy? We’ve been sent by your Elder to find you.”

Dyoken gives a big grin, cheerful at what he perceives as a playful trick... Or is that a frown at having been bested by a child. He's upside-down it's hard to tell.

Mercy's swords droop downward just a fraction at Muireach's use of her name. "Find me? Why?" Mercy is defiant, and she looks more than a little guilty. "I can fend for myself. Tell me who you are or we're done here."

She edges another step back, soft boots making not a sound on the underbrush.

Dyoken hanging from his ankle says boisterously, "Why, we are the Heroes of Kings! Surely you've heard of us."

 “Well, I suppose it was more your father who asked the elder to ask us to find you, but semantics. Anyway, I am Muireach Maon, King of Heroes, none other. Now, if you don’t mind my asking, do you know this Stole? Because I have some questions about his sword.”

Mercy snorts. "King of Heroes? Is that what you all call yourselves? What does that even mean?" She absently cuts the rope keeping the big guy aloft as she assumes a more relaxed position. "I don't have a father, by the way. If you mean the man who raised me you can tell him whatever you like, but you're not taking me from these woods."

Dyoken flops gracelessly to the ground, before climbing back to his feet, "Well, not before you've defended your home." He says.

Mercy is a little taken aback by that, Dyoken. She's also taken aback by the heroic figure the man cuts now that he's freed from the netting and on Terra firma.

"Right. Exactly. So, if you'll excuse me..?"
