As reggie begins to look around the street he notices the heavy mists and fog that were near the gate that they entered earlier in the morning were now seeping in around the town, surrounding the group. And they begin to close in on the party slowly.
Reggie curses. "Get the kids. Get inside. No time. Now!" He runs toward the tall brick row house the children indicated earlier, pushing the gate open and almost sprinting to the front door. He opens the door, but waits outside until everyone is inside before going in himself.
The children shy away from Andrei when he tries to touch them.
"We will not go inside. It is not safe. The monster will kill us."They enter the portico and stop." We will wait here. Please help us."
A wrought-iron gate with hinges on one side and a lock on the other fills the archway of a stone portico. The gate is unlocked, and its rusty hinges shriek when the gate is opened. Oil lamps hang from the portico ceiling by chains, flanking a set of oaken doors that open into a grand foyer.
Hanging on the south wall of the foyer is a shield emblazoned with a coat-of-arms (a stylized golden windmill on a red field), flanked by framed portraits of stony-faced aristocrats (long-dead members of the Durst family). Mahogany-framed double doors leading from the foyer to the main hall (area 2A) are set with panes of stained glass.

"Don't stay outside if that fog gets closer, the foyer will be safe. We'll have your monster issue solved in no time!" Tilo says with a smile before going into the house with the others. Once in the foyer he stops, straining his sentence to hear or see anything peculiar within the house.

Andrei grumbles to himself as the party makes its way into the foyer. Once there, he puts his hand on Tilo's shoulder, saying the words that Tilo has heard from him so often before.
"Be careful."
After that, Andrei walks to the mahogany-framed doors and presses his ear up to them, listening carefully for any signs of the monster.

Reggie closes — but doesn't lock — the front door as soon as everyone is inside the foyer. He turns and looks around, grimacing at the cramped space and watching Andrei lean the side of his head against the closed door on the other end. He slides by Artus, placing a steadying hand on the minotaur's beefy arm. He walks forward, leaning in to ask Andrei quietly, "Anything?" Andrei shakes his head. Reggie reaches out and turns the doorknob, pushing the door open and stepping through.
A wide hall runs the width of the house, with a black marble fireplace at one end and a sweeping, red marble staircase at the other. Mounted on the wall above the fireplace is a longsword with a windmill cameo worked into the hilt. The wood-paneled walls are ornately sculpted with images of vines, flowers, nymphs, and satyrs, you can also see serpents and skulls inconspicuously woven into the wall designs. The decorative paneling follows the staircase as it circles upward to the second floor.
Reggie walks to the center of the room and turns, watching Andrei walk to the fireplace and begin examining the longsword. "I realize we entered this house hesitantly, but shouldn't we be looking for a stairway to the basement instead of admiring the decor?"
Tilo gets distracted looking at some of the fey themed designs, but is brought back to the task at hand when Reggie speaks. "Yeah, you're right, sorry." He walks to the first door on the north side of the wall. Pausing for a second to look it over and listen for any activity on the other side, opening it if he doesn't notice anything.

Tilo doesn't hear anything out of the ordinary on the other side of the door and opens it.
The centerpiece of this wood-paneled dining room is a carved mahogany table surrounded by eight high-backed chairs with sculpted armrests and cushioned seats. A crystal chandelier hangs above the table, which is covered with resplendent silverware and crystalware polished to a dazzling shine. Mounted above the marble fireplace is a mahogany-framed painting of an alpine vale.
The wall paneling is carved with elegant images of deer among the trees Tilo also sees twisted faces carved into the tree trunks and wolves lurking amid the carved foliage.
Red silk drapes cover the windows, and a tapestry depicting hunting dogs and horse-mounted aristocrats chasing after a wolf hangs from an iron rod bolted to the south wall.
"Looks like they eat here. The family must have been hunters, I've never seen so many woods themed decorations in a city dwellers home." Tilo goes around to the rest of the doors in the foyer, listening and then opening them if he detects nothing in the same manner as the first room.
"Looks like they eat here. The family must have been hunters, I've never seen so many woods themed decorations in a city dwellers home." Tilo goes around to the rest of the doors in the foyer, listening and then opening them if he detects nothing in the same manner as the first room. "Hello! Gustav! Elizabeth! We met your children outside and we're here to help!" Tilo yells out but no one seems to answer or maybe no one heard him.
Tilo moves back into the main room and listens at the small door that is next to the dining room door, upon hearing nothing he opens it up and notices A cloakroom that has several black cloaks hanging from hooks on the walls. A top hat sits on a high shelf.
Tilo moves to the next doorway east of the cloakroom and just south of the second door that enters the dining room and listens. Hearing nothing he opens the door and peers inside. The kitchen is tidy, with dishware, cookware, and utensils neatly placed on shelves. A worktable has a cutting board and rolling pin atop it. A stone, dome-shaped oven stands near the east wall, its bent iron stovepipe connecting to a hole in the ceiling. Behind the stove and to the left is a thin door.
Tilo moves to the southern door and listens once again but hears nothing so he opens the door. This oak-paneled room looks like a hunter’s den. Mounted above the fireplace is a stag’s head, and positioned around the outskirts of the room are three stuffed wolves.
Two padded chairs draped in animal furs face the hearth, with an oak table between them supporting a cask of wine, two carved wooden goblets, a pipe rack, and a candelabrum. A chandelier hangs above a cloth-covered table surrounded by four chairs.
Two cabinets stand against the walls. The east cabinet sports a lock.

Andrei nods.
"Come!" he barks at the children, beginning to usher them inside.
And that's all I have to say about that.

Artus follows the group to the dining room. Admiring the lavish looking furniture.

Artus will take the top hat, and wear it, placing it snuggly between his horns. He continues to follow along though. Just staying alert.
