"And how is it that he had access to the house? Who was it that was inviting him in? He shouldn't have been allowed to 'snack' on her a second time. 'Always came at night' ... You should have been prepared to defend her ... or die trying." Strangely enough, Reggie's eyes are shining with moisture as he glares as Ismark.
"Ask dear old dad why the Devil was allowed in the house. As for dying trying to protect her. Again it's hard to do something when you are overpowered by dark magic and are made helpless to do anything."
Artus sitting in his chair, lifts the blade of his axe and slams the flat top of the axe onto the ground The loud bang like a gavel in a courtroom, echoes in the parlor.
"We are arguing... Dividing each other when we should be pulling each other together. The more we fight each other, the closer Strahd gets to victory. Now stop this petty bickering and let us discuss how we should go about bringing the burgomaster to the cemetary."
Artus looks at his friends, "We can only stop this monster together."

Ismark glares at Reggie but seems to calm down at Artus's words. "You are right my friend. We need to work together to end this curse. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us lay my father to rest. He deserves better than living out eternity in the foyer."
The loud bang of Artus's axe hitting the floor causes Reggie to jump. He looks about the room, his look of anger melting into concern and then immediately into a stony glare. He adjusts in his seat and looks fleetingly at Artus, Ismark, and then at the floor at the center of their circle.
Having gotten over his fascination with Artus once the arguing began, Sizan watched most of it with rapt attention. But as things begin to simmer down -- thanks in no small part to Artus -- Sizan will take a copper wire from his pocket, wrap it about a hand, and then cover his mouth with said hand in a feigned attempt at a thoughtful pose.
Ireena will hear the following:
"I apologize if this comes as some discomfort to you, but unfortunately the consequences of my test before will only exacerbate the situation. And I would like to know sooner, rather than later if you know what drew Strahd to you? Please, anything at all. I won't tell Iskmar and the others if desired... oh, and you can reply to this message."
The trick done, Sizan will find either a chair or an empty spot on the wall to sit or lean casually against. Which ever one would provide him greatest view of proceedings while keeping him away from the windows or immediate strike range of Reggie.

Andrei glances at Reggie and back at Artus.
"I'd think we could carry a coffin with all of else helping. But is it likely for us to be attacked?"he asks Ismark.
Ismark looks over towards Andrei and shakes his head. "Not during the day no. At night the Devil may have his minions out and about but during the day we are usually safe unless Strahd himself decides to come to town for a visit."
Ireena looks around the room with a confused look on her face and says out loud. "I have no idea why Strahd chose me."
Ismark looks towards Ireena and frowns. " You know Strahd is attracted to you and desires you above all others, Why this is I have no idea either. But that's how it has been forsome time now."
Sizan just snorts at first at the suggestion. But as soon as Andrei or anyone else appeared ready to jump down his throat on the matter, he'll just carefully pull back a sleeve, revealing his twig of an arm while avoiding keeping the hidden dagger out of sight. Even if that proves not enough to convince the others, the 'Yuan-ti' will just shrug off any demands or further suggestion of physical labor.
As for Irena, Sizan looks to the woman and cants his head for a second, but then starts scratching his chin instead seeming no more bother by the 'strange' outburst than Reggie's more aggressive one earlier.
Lando coughs awkwardly to try and break the tension in the room . "Well let's start with what we do know; we need to get this coffin to the cemetery, and we should do it while there's daylight."
He asks Ireena and Ismark, "Is there a cart we can use, or do we have to carry this all the way there?"
"I can go get a cart from out back and bring it around the front with someone's help. I don't have any horses, Strahd made sure of that and killed them all. Someone follow me to get the cart" Ismark walks out of the room to get the cart.
Sizan almost pointedly plops down into a seat (if he hadn't found one before), leans forward, and steeples his fingers before his mouth. The man wasn't going anywhere just yet. In fact, as at least some of the others head out to offer there assistance, the 'Yuan-ti' would take the time to finally begin properly digesting everything he has heard thus far. However, at the first signs of it appearing like Ireena might leave, or is one of the few that remain behind, he'll again play the trick using the copper wire still wrapped about the hand.
"You know you didn't have to answer aloud. Merely whisper, and I will hear it. But that out of the way, I think I know why in part this 'Devil' of yours haunt you. I have no immediate 'permeant' solution, but I do possess a possible temporary one to at least confuse the bastard's, uhm... focus. To that end, it will require a great deal of trust, and, well... for you to retrieve an extra pair of your clothing."
The message complete, he'll either flag down Lando if the man remained with a wary gesture, or settled more deeply into his seat to wait and 'plot'.

Reggie catches Artus's eye and silently motions for him to follow Ismark. The human then gets up and walks back out the front door. As he waits patiently, the tracks again catch his eye. He looks at them more closely.

The tracks seem to be of wolves, and humanoid variety, some with shoes some bare footed, a lot of dragging marks from the feet being dragged. (shuffling dragging not someone being dragged)

Ireena looks around the room. "My Clothing?" she blurts out once again before looking embarrassed.
"What do you need my clothing for?" She says back in her mind.
Artus and Ismark find the cart and bring it around the front of the house and park it by the front door. There are many storm clouds in the sky and it looks like it could pour at any moment. You hear wolves in the distance howling.
"I'll watch the cart, see if you can go get my father's coffin and bring him out and then we can go," Ismark says to Artus.
'Now she looks embarrassed?' Sizan thought, smirking a little in spite of the situation. Then after a brief pause to gather back the focus, he'll send out one last message before leaning back in his seat, giving Ireena a bored yet expectant look.
"To be you, of course... at least for a time. Consider it another trick of hers... well, mines. Its complicated. Whether you have some compunctions about this or not, this deception may yet prove to be to your advantage for at least spiting the cretin, should it come to it... I... hesitate to say this as well, but... I would also have to see 'you'. All of you. In private, of course. At least if I'm to do a proper job at this."

Ireena walks outside with the coffin and watches as it gets loaded onto the cart before everyone makes their way to the church. The few people you see in the streets give you looks of hatred, confusion, and fear but no one says a word. Ireena scowls at the people she sees and they look away from her ashamed. It takes twenty minutes to get to the church without incident.
Atop a slight rise, against the roots of the pillar stone that supports Castle Ravenloft, stands a gray, sagging edifice of stone and wood. This church has obviously weathered the assaults of evil for centuries on end and is worn and weary. A bell tower rises toward the back, and flickering light shines through holes in the shingled roof. The rafters strain feebly against their load.
The heavy wooden doors of the church are covered with claw marks and scarred by fire.
