Reggie is a go

Artus jumps back as the door grows its giant set of teeth and chomps down on Reggie. He pulls out a javelin and hurls it at the door. Trying not to hit Reggie, Artus's throw goes high and stabs harmlessly into the wall and falls to the ground.

As the mimic chomps down on Reggie, he yells in the dissonant, jarring language, tearing his arm away from the toothy maw. Awkward, and bending in a way that almost looks impossible, he twists his grip on his swords and thrusts them sideways into the door with a snake-like hiss.

Andrei shouts in surprise, then runs over, standing beside Reggie.

"Stab it in the mouth!" he advises, unable to get a good angle to hit the mimic from, himself.

"When is a door not a door?"

With that, Lando outstretches his hands, and then claps them together while saying an incantation of Jergal. A loud, dull bell sounds over top of the Mimic.

Tilo is up, Reggie has Advantage next round

As the mimic chomps down on Reggie, he yells in the dissonant, jarring language, tearing his arm away from the toothy maw. Awkward, and bending in a way that almost looks impossible, he drops one of his longswords and thrusts the single longsword two-handed into the door with a snake-like hiss. (12 damage)

Andrei shouts in surprise, then runs over, standing beside Reggie.

"Stab it in the mouth!" he advises, unable to get a good angle to hit the mimic from, himself. Hearing Andrei's words inspire Reggie.

"When is a door not a door?" 

"When it's a mimic!"

The house goes quiet for just a moment and the only sounds you hear are Reggie struggling against the door.

With that, Lando outstretches his hands and then claps them together while saying an incantation of Jergal. A loud, dull bell sounds over top of the Mimic. The mimic cries out in pain from the divine cantrip. (8 damage)

Artus is up, Then Reggie with Advantage.

Tilo looks at the situation and realizes if he goes and punches the door he would get stuck and since Reggie didn't disengage from the door there is no room for anyone else to attack.

The Mimic still has a hold on Reggie so the mouth bites down on him hard and Reggie can feel the teeth sink into him and the acid seep into his blood burning him from the inside out. (5 piercing, 4 acid=9 damage)

Artus takes out another Javelin and lines up another shot at the door, "Hey I've got a good joke too! Knock Knock?"

Attack: 7 Damage: 9

Reggie strains against the door, but the adhesive is too strong. He once again grabs the sword with both hands and rams it at the gaping mouth. "You cannot stop me," Reggie says in Common, but in a strange, gravelly voice. "Not when I'm so close!"

Two-Hand Longsword Attack: 12; Damage: 6 slashing damage

"Let go, you vile thing!" Andrei yells at the mimic.

Andrei grabs Reggie by the shoulders, attempting to pull him away from the mimic, but the creature's "grip" is too strong.

Lando continues to clap the sounds of death above the Mimic.

"Comon Reggie, stop fooling around here!"

Artus is Up

Artus takes out another Javelin and lines up another shot at the door, "Hey I've got a good joke too! Knock Knock?" but this javelin goes way right and smacks into the wall.

Reggie strains against the door, but the adhesive is too strong. Lando continues to clap the sounds of death above the Mimic. You can tell the Bells of death are affecting the Mimic but it just won't let go of Reggie knowing it is so close to having lunch. 

Tilo helps Reggie in any way he can.

The mimic tries to bite Reggie but Reggies sword gets in the way somehow and deflects the attack.

"I'm running out of things to throw here..." Artus bellows, knowing full well he can run and pick up his missed javelins... He winds up another one and hurls it at the door again.

Attack: 18 Damage: 7

Artus's javelin finds its mark, slamming into the door right in front of Reggie's face. The fighter grunts, closing eyes. After a second: "No," he says through gritted teeth. He opens his eyes again to see Tilo pulling at his elbow. Reggie drops his other sword, clasps onto Tilo, and pushes with his legs away from the mimic.

Strength save (with advantage): 20

The two fall, Tilo backward, and Reggie landing on top of him.

Andrei glances around in frustration before remembering his crossbow. He grabs it from the top of his pack, notches a bolt in it, and fires at the Mimic.

Attack: 4 Damage: 5

Lando is up

"I'm running out of things to throw here..." Artus bellows, knowing full well he can run and pick up his missed javelins... He winds up another one and hurls it at the door again, this time the javelin hits the mimic squarely in the top corner of the door knocking a big chunk of wood off of it. When the wood hits the ground it turns into a green pile of goo and then sucks back into the mimics body.

Artus's javelin finds its mark, slamming into the door right in front of Reggie's face. The fighter grunts, closing eyes. After a second: "No," he says through gritted teeth. He opens his eyes again to see Tilo pulling at his elbow. Reggie drops his other sword, clasps onto Tilo, and pushes with his legs away from the mimic.

The two fall, Tilo backward, and Reggie landing on top of him.

Artus is up.

Seeing Reggie is now free from the Mimic, “good, now you can attack this thing with your sword instead of your ears”

With that, Lando summons the bell of death once more over the mimic and the mimic didn't even realize it got hurt. (2 damage)

Tilo gets up and rushes towards the mimic and stabs it with his shortsword. the sword sliding to the hilt before Tilo pulls it out (9 damage) He then tries to kick it but the Mimic forms a pseudopod and blocks the kick, Tilo spins around and gives it a backhanded fist but the pseudopod blocks it again.

The Mimic reaches down with its pseudopods and grabs Reggies dropped swords and pulls them towards his body, they disappear into the mimic as you hear a clang from behind the mimic in the next room.

Artus charges up to the other side of the Mimic. He spins his axe recklessly into the door.

Reckless Attack:

Attack: 17 Damage: 10

As Artus slams his ax into the door the mimic makes a death like scream and begins to collapse into itself into a pile of goo showing you the next room. Reggies two swords are laying on the ground. 

A chandelier is suspended above a table in the middle of the room. Two high-backed chairs flank the table, which has an empty clay jug and two clay flagons atop it. Iron candlesticks stand in two corners, their candles long since melted away.

Reggie sits on the floor, his eyes closed and his hands rubbing the sides of his head.
