Nekane gives Lozak a sideways glance, but chooses not to dive into that conversation. Instead he looks to Violet and says, "Oh he's probably sucking their life forces out, or using them to feed some evil deity--or eat them himself for that matter--or perform some sick ritual, or maybe keep them as pets... you know, the usual stuff." He waves a hand, "Needless to say. Once we find the kids, dead or alive, we get them out of here and burn this bloody place to the ground."
Pan watches the others head for the opening, but curiosity takes his interest instead and he pulls the hood up on his cloak, blending into the walls. He then approaches the closed door and forgoes checking for traps, testing the handle and peeking in should it be unlocked.
As the group continues East through the tunnels, the path opens up to a small entrance room with a door on the east wall. The door is covered in sharp, broken shards of glass somehow glued to the wood and is flanked by a brilliantly lit neon orange sign, reading ‘WALLS OF GLASS’.
A smaller, discolored and crumpled paper sign is taped to the wall nearby above a rubbish bin, it reads ‘No Drinks Allowed!’
Pan on the other hand heads to the door at the north inbetween the now stationary tunnels. Cracking the door open, he sees a very large room with a huge ball pit in the middle of it.
Pan enters the room propping the door open with a caltrop. He notes that his room has two double doors on the east and west wall with another single door to the north. Approaching the ball pit he hesitantly touches one of the multicoloured balls trying to ascertain what it is made of.
That's when he hears a soft low boom from under the balls and takes a little step back. He extends his pole to its 10ft reach and prepares to plunge it in to the depths of the pit.
Ashtar notes the sign stating "walls of glass". Figuring this probably leads to the mirror room he saw earlier, he decides to follow Pan. The tall genasi stands a short distance behind the halfing as the smaller man investigates the colorful curiosity. Once Pan shoves the pole into the pit, Ash steps towards him and leans down, bending at the waste, so his head is at the same level as Pan's. Smiling as usual, he looks down into the pit waiting to see how deep it is...
Pan doesn't register Ashtar's presence immediately and reacts only when the genasi bends over to get a better look. Pan jumps back with a shout lifting his pole back out and sending multicoloured balls flying "AWWWW SHITE! WHA'S WRONG WI' YA LAD? Creepin' up on peoples like tha'! A man can'ne play wi some balls by 'imself in peace! Sheeeeeesh, ye frighten'd the life outta me! ACH! Anyways there was a soft bangin' comin' from deep in them balls there whaddya make of it? wanna go fer a dive? Heh heh heh!"
Ash does not immediately straiten after spooking the halfling, but rather just turns his smiling face to face the smaller man. He stays silent for a moment before responding, "Hmm. I was under the impression that you were testing the depth before climbing in yourself. If you'd like, we could both investigate the sound. Someone has to make sure you don't drown in there after all. HAHAHA."
"hah! Ye think bein' smothered by a couple o' balls can kill me!" Pan laughs as he plunges the pole back into the pit to see if he can in fact reach the bottom, having clearly not thought of that beforehand he very much doesn't want to admit that his previous actions had been more thoughtless than anything else.
Lozak listens to Pan's comment and then looks at Violet. It's clear he's about to say something, though exactly what it is will be forever a mystery as he shakes his head and then just raises his eyebrows at his favorite friend.
He returns his attention to the door covered in glass.
"Walls of glass eh?" He says, strumming the Axe and looking around. "Where do we...does anyone...I know this sounds stupid... Anyone see any glass? My eyes were better in my last incarnation."
As the two investigate the very large ball pit, Pan realizes he has to push his pole all the way in to figure out the depth of it is about 10 feet. The popping sound he heard earlier had paused during the 'conversation' between the two of them, but now continues.. and something in the middle of the pit appears to be moving.. which is where the sound is emanating from.
As Lozak plucks at his Axe, the sound appears to be reverberating off the shards of glass attached to the wall.
As Lozak's blast hits the wall, several of the shards fall to the ground, breaking into more pieces. The center piece to his blast disintegrates into sparkly dust, almost like glitter.
"Does anyone happen to know fireball?" she asks. "I'm kind of getting sick of this place... it really is a shame, I thought carnivals were supposed to be fun!"

"Of all my fire based spells, that is not one I currently have on hand," Nekane says, shaking his head regretfully. Then he bends over and pokes at one of the balls in the ball pit, debating on whether or not to take a dive since Pan went in first.
He decides to wait and see if Pan can touch the bottom or not.
"I would rather burn it down when you and I are safely out of here." Lozak says to Violet, then looks at the rest of his companions and holds up a finger as if to add an addendum. "And our friends, of course."

If anythin' goes wrong I reck'n I got me a fireball heh heh heh" pan disregards all previous concerns and jumps in the pit, disappearing below the multicoloured balls, the only way those in the ball out room can see his position is the ten foot pole now barely perking above the surface.
"Oh I'm sure someone more heroic than I will rescue him." Lozak says, reaching out to rub Violet's back between the stalks of her eyes. He looks around, watches the rest of the party, then leans in close to Violet's ear. "Err....if he's lucky."
He leans close to the edge of the ball pit and looks in.
"aye I'm ok! And I can still hear ya! It's not tha' deep man!" A shuffle of balls burst into the air as pan tries to move underneath them. looking for the source of the mysterious popping sound
