"Alive! S-Sorry, I got caught up in the, um... moment," Mei says, rising to dust herself off. She gives Knap a tight hug before pulling back to look at Zanther as well, "Thank you both! I'm lucky you were here, Knap. And that you can... bend gravity to your will?"
With a cheeky smile, she looks at the satyr with a waggle of her plum-colored brows. "Maybe we should jump off the top of Dresar next?" She waits a beat before laughing and waving her hands wildly in dismissal, "Just kidding, just kidding!"
Aurora gives Malvyna brief nod, "Ah yes, my mistake, thanks should go to Knap for that remarkable recovery." She grabs the tiefling's hand and gives it a squeeze. "I should perhaps be getting ready for my performance here soon. If you'll excuse me."
Zanther shakes his head at Mei. "No thanks needed. Just give me another second or two notice and I'll catch you for sure next time!" Cadoras grins, "Excellent! Being alive afterward is always high on my list."
Mei's lashes flutter as Zanther mentions a "next time." She certainly was not averse to the idea of being caught by him again. She's suddenly curious who would win in an arm wrestling competition: him or Greta. She shakes her head free of those thoughts then smiles at Cadoras. She hasn't seemed to make too much of a fool of herself in front of him, thankfully. Not enough to scare him away at least.
"Well, um... how about a round of... something? On me? Dancing and, um, falling," she laughs, "works up quite a thirst!" She glances around at everyone, ready to take orders and give her dancing feet a break.
"Ah, yes of course..."The purple-skinned tiefling says and smiles. "...break a leg, or whatever you are supposed to say before someone goes on stage." He adds a bit awkwardly. "I mean, well, you know whar I mean."He smiles shyly at the raven-haired performer as she leaves to prepare for her performance, reluctantly letting go of her and joining the others back at the table, ready to order something to drink while enjoying the show. "Yes, perhaps one of those minty drinks they serve here." He says, perking up a bit again at the thought of something refreshing.
It's a bit far away from the table near the stage where you all are sitting, but there is a sign posted with the menu and drink specials. You do notice the specials have changed since the first time you were here:
Cadoras replies quickly to Mei. "I would love a drink! But perhaps we should be buying for you. You provided all the entertainment!" He signals loudly for a waitress, and she comes over to see what everyone would like. She gives you the list of specialty drinks, should anyone ask. "I will have the Ginger Rum!" Cadoras declares.
Aurora slips off from the others, picking up her hurdy gurdy from the table and making her way towards the back of the stage. The group finishing up had a number of stringed instruments - from lute to fiddle. And they had added a juggler dressed in bright clothes. Their upbeat music had certainly added to the fun of dancing.
The waitress asks Malvynwhich minty drink it is he wants. "Are you thinking of the Blue Streak?"
Zanther politely refuses when drinks are offered. "I've had mine for the night and I am good. But you all enjoy."
Mei whips her head back and forth at Cadoras, the end of braid whacking his arm. "N-No, no! Really, my treat! Knap's saved me twice now and you've been teaching me fractaaals. And Guardok is going to teach me self-defense and Malvyn keeps me awake in class... a-and Zanther saved my literal a-- um, behind too. It's the least I can do!"
When the waitress brings over the menu, Mei gets up on her knees and leans over to the center of the table to read it. "Oh! It's like... autumn flavors? And, oh my, that's new! Unholy... thrill?" Always one to try something different at the tavern, she orders the thrilling sounding one. "Do you want something non-alcoholic, then, Zanther? Or something else to eat? Should we order something for Aurora too? What does she usually get, Mal?"
Zanther declines to order anything except for water. Hearing Meiorder the Unholy Thrill, he too quickly asks for that too. "What a name! I can only hope it lives up to the hype."
As everyone makes it back to the table, Pierohas a slight smirk on his face. "You all are quite the crazy bunch! Very entertaining to watch."He orders a Ginger Rum when the waitress comes over.
Waiting to get the drinks, the waitress pauses to see if anyone else wants anything.
"I'll take the Apple Slush, please", Guardok says to the waitress. "Probably best bring one of those for Knap as well", he adds looking over to his floor mate still busting moves.
He then looks across to Zanther,, "This will be my last too, don't want to lose the morning with a fuzzy head".
He then relaxes into his seat a bit, trying to take in the changes in his life. Going from the busy life of a circus stage hand and occasional performer to this frivolity. He determines not to forget why he is here, and what it took to get him here.
"Um...not sure...can't remember what I had, but I guess I'll try the Blue Steak then." The purple-skinned tiefling answers the waitress with a polite smile.
"Oh, Aurora only ever gets her favourite wine, she's very particular with what she...drinks." Malvyn says to the purple-haired oracle. "I suppose she would appreciate a glass waiting for her after her performance."He adds with a nod, then ordering for the raven-haired performer too.
Mei smiles softly at Guardok, her own thoughts heading in a similar direction as the excitement from dancing begins to settle. "Maybe we could try a study group again tomorrow? In the lounge or book gardens? Somewhere more... relaxed?" She looks at the others to gauge their reactions, knowing everyone seemed to have a different study style.
"I was thinking about trying to come up with a song for remembering what each slaadi color signifies." She starts to speak-sing a little ditty on the spot, but it's certainly a... work in progress. "But, well... not that," she giggles. "I'm sure you and Mae could come up with something better!" A Light spell goes off in her head as she looks at Cadoras. "Oh, oh! And the LARP guild studies a lot of creatures, too, right?"
((Trying to use Cadoras' Bond Boon to enlist study help if that might have any effect lol!))
As Mei mentions reconvening with the study group, the purple-skinned Tiefling looks around at the others with an unsure smile. It certainly hadn't been a success earlier, but if the others were prepared to give it another try he would of course do so too, as long as there was actual studying going on, at least partly, at least for himself. "Our lounge should be quiet enough, and we could have cosy plants there, and snacks, and some soft study music."Malvyn says after a moment, again looking around at the others for their thoughts.
The waitress takes everyone's orders. When Malvyn orders for Aurora she says, "Oh, Miss Wynterstarr has an arrangement while she performs. We make sure to keep her with a full glass on stage. But I'd be glad to bring an extra here when she wraps up." She then is off to get the orders. It doesn't take too long for the drinks to arrive. There are two of the Unholy Thrill - a milky opalescent cocktail in a fancy glass with a long stem. It's very very cold to the touch and you can see the tiny bubbles in it. The two Apple Slush drinks are in a tall thin glass. They have a rosy hue to the thick creamy looking concoction. It seems a cross between smoothie and milkshake. The Giner Rum is fairly simple - a dark liquid in a short glass with ice. Finally, the Blue Streak is an amazingly bright blue mixture in a glass with long stem much like the Unholy Thrill. It has a faint scent of citrus to it.
Pierotakes his drink and starts to sip it slowly. "Knap, thank you for the offer, but it will have to wait for another time. I'm not dancing tonight."
Cadoras responds to Mei. "Of course, the guild has all sorts of experts on various types of monsters. I don't know if we have any study sessions planned, but I'm sure we could locate an expert on aberrations if you wanted." He takes a small drink from his Unholy Thrill. "Woo! That is quite the thrill," he says with a grin. "Actually, it's kind of refreshing. Champagne I think, plus... I'm not sure what else."
Zanther enjoys his glass of water. He chats with Guardok. "Important to study dilgently. But don't completely neglect your workouts. You'll be sharper if you keep you body in good condition you know."
If anyone happens to glance towards the stage, you see that the group that had been playing has wrapped up. Aurora is starting to come up with her hurdy gurdy in hand.
"Don't worry, I will be buckling down. Wherever we study", Guardok promises. "And if making up a song helps, it will be easier than I thought", he adds with a smile to Mei.
Turning to Zanther he gives him a grin, "My brain can't function 24/7 like that, so I will need to keep up with my workouts. You will definitely see me for the regular club night don't worry. And I have Mei and Cadoras to train in fencing during my breaks too. Short breaks. Infrequent, short breaks", he finally clarifies that last bit looking to Mal and winking.
“Not a problem. Whenever you’re ready Piero. In the meantime, you should join us for that 4th floor study session.”
Knap takes a sip and his apply cheeks go the same red hue of his drink. “I wouldn’t mind a session in the lounge.”
As Aurora takes the stage Knap begins a polite yet enthusiastic clap. He looks to Malvyn expectantly, almost in admiration of Malvyn’s admiration of Aurora.
The purple-skinned Tiefling chuckles as Guardok winks at him. "Infrequent short breaks from fencing and clubbing to do some brief actual studying you mean?" He comments with a grin. "It's okay, if we help each other out with studying I'm sure we will all pass the exam my friend." He adds with a reassuring smile.
Malvyn would definitely keep his fiery red eyes towards the stage, starting to clap his hands as Aurora steps up with her hurdy-gurdy, smiling at his roomie as he joins into the clapping. Evidently rumor already was that he and the raven-haired performer was an item so there was no real reason to be discreet about how much he admired Aurora and her music. As she readies herself to perform the purple-skinned tiefling even discreetly hushes the others at the table, hoping they would all reverently listen now...
Mei is just wondering about the particular taste and arrangements made for Aurora when her genasi floormate mentions fencing. She wonders what building a fence has to do with daggers, but smiles at Guardok and Cadoras about it anyways, excited for such tutelage.
The diviner takes a sip of her own Unholy Thrill as Cadoras mentions the taste and blinks over wide eyes. "That's... oh! Really good!" She leans into Cadoras to whisper with a grin, "I wonder what makes it unholy?"
As Aurora's performance begins, Mei settles into her seat. She can't help but watch Malvyn when the bard begins, curious as always about where her songs seem to transport him. Her tarot cards thrum gently against her hip in response to her curiosity.

Knap arrives shortly behind the others, jigging and clapping the band all the way back from the dance floor. He really has to drag himself away.
"Good call! Apple slush sounds good to me" Knap says a little out of breath, light sweat across his brows.
He smirks back at Piero, "You have no idea Piero...dance with me and let yourself a little mayhem."
