It takes the group a little while to figure out which way to go to get back to the university. It's across town and takes a couple of coaches to get there. There are a number of places to get a bite to eat. They offer a range of fare - noodles, sandwiches, soups, and other items. Places do not seem too expensive.
"Ah yes, it was an interesting experience." The purple-skinned tiefling says, not seeming all that convinced though. Still, he seems to be in a fairly good mood, perhaps over soon returning to home and safety. "I have the sense we will return at some point and when we do I know more about what to expect." He adds with a small optimistic smile. "Also, I promised myself to try new things."
Malvyn would be quick about picking up a meat sandwich to go.
Guardok grabs some noodles while Malvyn grabs a sandwich. Mei manages to pick up something as well. You have a brief relaxing lunch before heading to the campus.
Partly from memory and mostly from the well marked signs, you all find the teleportation circles. There are a few frantic moments while Mei locates the papers she was given, but eventually they are found. With the place a bit more crowded than the morning you arrived, you do have to wait a few minutes. But soon you are sent in a blink back to the more familiar environs of Strixhaven.
"You're probably right, but hopefully she understands." Malvyn says, ready to follow along to share the burden of the report even though he is torn between going back and wash up properly at the dorms, trying to find Aurora to tell her he's back and to immediately continue the investigation in the safety of the Biblioplex.
The trio of Malvyn, Guardok, and Meimake their way out to Professor Lang's office on the Witherbloom campus. They are asked to wait a moment as she is meeting with another student. Finally, they are let into her office as she stands to greet them. "Welcome back! How did your trip go?" As she watches them enter, her expression changes a bit. "From your looks it must not have gone exactly as expected. What happened?"
"Thank you for seeing us Professor Lang."The purple-skinned tiefling starts, a bit unsure of how to continue, but after glancing over at Mei and Guardok he does just that. "Our trek to the grotto went fine but whne we reached it there had been a rock-slide of some sort blocking the entrance, so long story short we didn't get inside and had to return." He explains, seeing no immediate need to elaborate. "It might be that we will try to return once we have gotten word that the cave entrance have been cleared, but right now there is no telling how long that may be."He adds after a moment.
Guardok listens to Mal's abbreviated account, and decides to remain silent. There was a lot more to tell, but to admit they might have got into trouble with bandits would just mean the Professor would be more reluctant to let Mei go again.
"A rockslide?" Professor Lang repeats. "That is unfortunate. If you didn't get inside, I presume that you learned nothing more about this Disyn then?" She nods absently to herself. "Well, of course you didn't. I suppose then we will just have to wait until they do clear the rubble."
She now looks at Mei. "Don't forget you will have to retake your exam on Friday." She then glances at Malvynand Guardok. "You two, of course, were not in class today. Grades were already posted after class. The information should still be there until after tomorrow's class."
"The exam results are up?", Guardok repeats rather excitedly, having forgotten about the actual results. "We should go and have a look on the way back", he suggests to Malvyn.
"There is nothing else from me", he replies to the Professor. "Unless you want to tell us how we did. Actually, it'll be more fun to go and check the board and see how everyone else got on as well".
The others can see that he is eager to go and see.
(OOC: Did they hand back their supplies already? That was Guardok's first suggestion, and then head to Professor Lang)
(OOC - I did miss that. We'll say you can just leave the equipment with the professor as without someone with you, you would not be able to get into the storage area.)
"Ah yes, if you wish you can leave your supplies here. I'll have someone go through them and get them back into storage for you," Professor Lang tells you.
"No nothing else I think, thanks again professor."Malvyn says as he places his gear at the floor by the door, then ready to follow along to check their grades, something the weekend had admittedly made him forget all about.

"Those noodles smell good", Guardok says to Mal and Mei as they stand outside. "I think I will get some of those", he adds.
He heads inside, trying to be at least a little frugal, despite his hunger.
"So what did you think of camping then, Mal? I mean, it may have been a bit of a waste of time otherwise, but at least you got to try it".

With classes having finished for the day, Guardok suggests they go back and hand back their camping supplies before heading to Dresar Hall.
"I guess we should report back what happened as well. I think Professor Lang is going to be quite disappointed".

Guardok doesn't have to be told twice, he pretty much shrugs off the backpack and drops the other supplies where he stands.
"Right you are, Professor", he says and turns heel ready to go and find out his results.
