At the sounds of axe swinging and sights of holy lights streaking by Syzygy yells "Ack! Those pesky adventurers have followed me here! Protect me or the Spider will have your heads.’
"Huh?"Quinn slays the leading goblin with a single blow of his axe.
A flash of light streaks out from Kimberley toward the third goblin. It, too, falls immediately, nearly at the feet of its boss. The boss cries out in surprise, alarm, and rage.
Bryony and Jurgen may still act with surprise (but will no longer be unseen, so no advantage.) There is one goblin (#6) visible near Quinn whom they may target with a ranged attack. Jurgen and Bryony should also roll initiative.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bryony spins around the corner and lets loose an arrow. It flies high, hitting the frame of the doorway.
Top of the round! Quinn is up first: Quinn - (To hit: 6) Quinn misses the next goblin (#6) with a sloppy swing of his battle axe.
The little goblin swings back with its blade, then rolls and runs away (bonus action: disengage) Scimitar Attack vs. Quinn: 15. Hit: 3 slashing damage.
The four other goblins ignore Syzygy and Draco for now, and scramble to find a vantage point where they can see Quinn. They then launch a barrage of arrows at him. (If he falls, they aim for Kimberley next.):
Another goblin (#8) vanishes into the gloom of the ruins to the southwest.
Kimberley (1st Round- Guiding Bolt at furthest goblin she can see- Attack: 25 Damage: 23 radiant.) virtually disintegrates the furthest goblin (#7) with another flash of holy, burning light.
Syzygy continues his convincing charade as a victimized wizard ally.
Draco, following Jurgen's orders, bites the nearby goblin (#3) (23 to hit for 3 damage) It leaves a bloody gash in the goblin's thigh. The boss squints at Syzygy skeptically.
Jurgen will fire his crossbow at the nearest one and hits (21 to hit with 8 damage). He praises Draco for keeping Quinn safe and asks him to attack the nearest goblin again, but is not able to get a good rend on it (10 to hit with 9 damage).
Jurgen takes a deadly shot at goblin #3. It goes down hard, atop a previously fallen comrade.
Side-eyeing Syzygy and barking orders to the other goblins, the goblin boss strides forward and slashes out with his scimitar at Draco, twice: Boss: Scimitar Attack #1 vs Draco: 22. Hit: 5 slashing damage. Boss: Scimitar Attack #2 vs Draco: 6. Hit: 6 slashing damage. He then nimbly disengages and retreats behind goblin #6.
Quinn staggers as two arrows make it past his armor. He grabs his shield and rushes into the room and attacks.
If possible, Quinn will target the goblin to the left of Syzygy and then use his full movement speed move into the turret to the far east were goblin #8 ran. Otherwise, he'll attack the goblin next to Draco and then run into the turret)
Quinn charges in, beheading the nearest goblin (#4) with a single swing of his axe. He darts with inhuman speed right through the length of the banquet hall and through a small, twisting passage leading west through the ruins into the southwest tower of the castle. This next room is little more than a heap of rubble. Several ragged bedrolls are scattered across the remaining floor space, and one of the bedrolls contains a goblin looking like it just woke up. There's an open door to the north, and another door adjacent, where the goblin Quinn chased is having a hasty conversation with a tough-looking goblin holding a javelin.
The goblin near Syzygy dodges Bryony's sword, but not her smaller blade. It goes down hard in a pool of black blood.
Goblin #9 (in the hallway speaking with another) charges Quinn with its scimitar: Scimitar Attack vs. Quinn: 6. Hit: 8 slashing damage. Then it disengages and runs north. The awakened goblin (#8) takes a shot at Quinn with its shortbow before diving into the rubble and hiding under the debris to the south of Quinn. Shortbow Attack vs. Quinn: 23. Hit: 4 piercing damage. Hide: Stealth: 17
The goblin (#6) near the boss likewise takes a shot at Bryony with its little bow: Shortbow Attack vs. Bryony: 9. Hit: 3 piercing damage.
Jurgen also goes into the room and to the right. He directs Draco to hold his action and if something comes in range to attack (Held Action).
Jurgen swings his sword down on the goblin. (20 to hit for 9 damage) (NOTE: if Kimberley takes out the first one, Jurgen would advance to the 2nd goblin.))
(Correction - Draco is to move 5 squares to the left and 1 square up and then wait)
Kimberley charges in, and crushes the goblin's skull with a single blow of her mace.
Jurgen comes in behind her, targeting the boss – the only remaining goblin in the room – with his sharp longsword. The boss tries to parry using the body of the goblin in front of him, but Jurgen is too fast – his sword leaves a nasty gash across its shoulder. But it is not down yet.
Syzygy – still masquerading as the wizard Glasstaff – is up next!
Syzygy looks at the remaining goblin, then looks at Draco, and back to the goblin. “Bloody technology, right?! I’ll get the quick one”. Syzygy quickly moves a couple of paces to where Quinn had dashed off, then snaps his head back around, raises a finger and casts a sickening ray at the goblin.
attack action: nat 1. Damage. 11 poison (disadvantage on targets next attack roll)
