As Jurgen ascends the rope, jingly Sir Roderick suddenly finds himself face-to-face with a mangy wolf that has materialized out of the gloom. It begins to growl at him. The voices become inquisitive, although Sir Roderick can't understand what they're saying.
But Jurgen can. (In Goblin):
"What's that, Ripper? What did you find?"
Jurgen's keen eyes can also see the rest of the room plainly. In addition to two goblins and a wolf, the room also contains a crude wooden throne made of crates and scrapwood, upon which sits a larger, hairy, muscular goblinoid bearing a hefty Morningstar. The two goblins are armed with scimitars and shortbows, like the others. The room is piled with sacks and crates and barrels, many bearing the image of a blue lion.
Quinn grows concerned as he watches some of the group shimmy up the tunnel. He digs out some of his own rations and waves the food in front of the wolves.
“Hungry little fellas aren’t you. Here have some more food.”
He breaks up some of the food and tosses it to the wolves. He will then try to get to the base of the tunnel and look up if possible.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As more of the group clusters around the base of the chimney, Jurgen manages to calm the wolf with more food. (Subtract your rations as used from your inventory, everyone!)
But the goblins squint across the room in curiosity. DC18 Perception: 12
The goblins turn back to their conversation. (Jurgen hears the boss goblinoid complaining about the stupidity of the wolf, saying it was unworthy of his status as a mighty king, as were his two honor guards. He seems to enjoy bullying his two underlings.)
The oversized hairy goblin king - or whatever it is - continues to browbeat his two underlings, as Jurgen feeds the last of his ration to the loose wolf at the top of the shaft.
Sir Roderick freezes, trying not to jingle his mail again. He still cannot see the three goblinoids in the gloomy cavern, nor can he understand what they say.
The others gather around the bottom of the natural chimney. (With the rope, they can climb the 30' shaft in a single round with a Dash, if necessary.)
Bryony waits at the bottom of the chimney, biting her lip. She's not sure whether she should climb up yet or not. She looks to the others for guidance.
(Disadvantage normally so thats a straight roll.)
