"Not unless I missed something. We've tried every unopened door I spotted. The rest were goblin sleeping quarters. Except the boarded up room." 

"Looks like we need to capture one and get them to tell us where she is." Jurgen says

The flames catch the canvas divider to the room to the south. It blossoms into a sheet of flame. All remains quiet.

Quinn shakes his head and mumbles.

"I don't like this. Watch for anything coming outta the smoke. Call it out."

He turns to the northern exit, long bow ready and while remaining partially behind the walls, peeks out searching for anyone trying to flank them.

Perception check: 20

Quinn scans the outside, where the sun has set somewhere behind the treeline. It is twilight. He sees nothing at all on the north side of the castle.

The flap of canvas serving as a door burns away. As the smoke clears, you see a goblin boss, a hobgoblin, and a battered dire wolf staring at you from the far end of the next room. They look confused, harried, and alarmed.

The barrels continue to smolder and burn, emitting a sooty black smoke.

Syzygy spent to long dancing with wolves. He holds the scroll to the air. 

Fireball scroll: 15 charisma

dex dc: 15 (?) (or 14 which is my base but scroll use seperate save I think)

Intoning the arcanely-laced words on the scroll, a bright streak flashes from Syzygy's pointing finger toward the three figures to the south. The streak blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame.

Hobgoblin: 20

All three duck frantically behind walls and rubble piles, but can't fully escape the flames. The hobgoblin is incinerated. The other two, partially recovered from their earlier battle wounds, are seriously burned.

The burnt goblin boss lets loose its bow at Syzygy:
Shortbow Attack vs. Sygygy: 21. Hit: 4 piercing damage. 

Dodging the still-burning barrels, the seared dire wolf charges Jurgen:
Bite Attack vs. Jurgen: 8. Hit: 13 piercing damage and Jurgen must succeed on a DC 13 Strength save or be knocked prone.

Jurgen, Bryony, and Quinn may act next! (Jurgen make that save first, if hit.)

Quinn moves to the east to gain a clear line of sight of the massive wolf. He draws his bow, aims and fires.

Action: 8 (nat 1 + 7) to hit for 4 damage

Quinn misses wildly, hitting the burning barrels instead.

Bryony runs up toward Jurgen and engages the huge direwolf with her blades.
