He then goes to check on Bryony and he’s astonished to see Boona’s ability to heal Bryony’s wounds.
”Boona…that’s amazing. I never would’ve thought you could do that. You’re a cook, a healer, what other tricks do you have up your sleeve?”
Boonas forehead crinkled up and she craned her neck raising her arms to try and peer into her short sleeves tight across her upper arms, " Uh...not know."
As she watched the doors being checked she stretched out as moss and flowers grew across her arms before disappearing in a wash of green light.
Bryony scrunches her face in disgust as she looks down at the corpses of the stirges. She stomps on one of the corpses as she heads south toward Jurgen and Ruven.
"Which door first?" she asks, deferring to the kobold or the elf's judgment.
Does not particularly matter, really says Ruven, muttering ancient Elvish under his breath and conjuring another spectral hand. He attempts to open the door that Jurgen is in front of, maneuvering the hand with his own outstretched.Best to withdraw, kobold. Any trap mechanisms could still be operational, after all...these dwarves were devilishly cunning.

Ruven Gilrel (Level 4 Bladesinger)- The Shattered Obelisk
Within appears to be an old guardroom. Splintered stone benches and heaps of rubble from a partially collapsed ceiling fill the chamber. Amid ruined stone bunks and toppled weapon racks are eight corpses, including the rotting remains of two larger humanoids – ogres, by the looks of them, stained morningstars still in their grips.
Jurgenwill enter the room with draco by his side. He'll investigate (12) the room before moving on to the next door. "Sir, if you would please to open this next door." He steps back.
After a cursory examination in which Jurgen spies little of interest, he spins and leaves the old guardroom.
But Bryony lingers for a moment longer – something about the terrible smell in here unsettles her – and then she sees eight of the corpses suddenly clamber to their feet – six long-dead dwarven miners and both armed ogres...
Jurgen, Ruven, and Bryony: Roll initiative! (Quinn, Boona, Syzygy are as yet unaware, and have Initiative 1)
Bryony watches as the dwarven corpses slowly shamble to life. But the ogre zombies are much quicker, lurching into sudden animation, their massive morningstars raised to smash the intruding halfling. But before they can, Ruven, watching from the hallway outside, is quick to react. Ruven may act first! (he's about 25 feet from the closest melee, and is currently in visual range of two dwarven zombies.)
Ruven sees the zombies animating and immediately jumps into action. Foul creatures, return to your slumber! He cries as he flies into the room, his arm outstretched. Shadows seem to swirl around his arm as he runs, coalescing into an obsidian blade. Tendrils of shadow still drift from the blade as he plunges the blade towards the ogre zombie:

Ruven Gilrel (Level 4 Bladesinger)- The Shattered Obelisk
Ruven races forward, striking the dead ogre with a new blade seemingly made of solidified gloom. He makes a respectable strike upon the huge lumbering creature (dead ogre #1), but it barely seems to register it or slow it down. It's a big, tough, and quite dead brute.
In response, both dead ogres redirect their attention from Bryony to Ruven. Advancing and beginning to surround him, the swings of their filthy morningstars are jerky and uneven, but with a deadly power behind them: #1 Morningstar Attack vs. Ruven: 10. Hit: 13 bludgeoning damage. #2 Morningstar Attack vs. Ruven: 11. Hit: 14 bludgeoning damage.
The rest of the party – Bryony, Jurgen, Quinn, Boona, and Syzygy – may now act, in any order.
Jurgenwill move into the room again with Draco just south of Ruven. He will attack the dead Ogre in front of him. He uses Green-Flame Blade with his long sword. 17 to hit with 16 damage. The ogre to the north takes 5 damage (if the 1st hit).
BA Draco attacks 16 to hit for 6 damage.
(Draco reaction = DIS ADV to one hit against Jurgen)
Boona charged into the room stopping between Bryony and Ruven.
" NO! BAD DEAD THINGS!"
A green light lit up around her head then flowed down over her body into the stones, moments later translucent emerald vines sprang from the ground to seize the dead around her.
Channel Divinity-
As a Magic action, you can expend one use of Channel Divinity to conjure spectral vines around each creature of your choice that you can see within 15 ft. Each creature must succeed on a DC 13 Str. saving throw, or have the Restrained condition for 1 minute. A Restrained creature repeats the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Bryony was too surprised to react in time as the skeletons around her began to re-animate, including the bodies of two huge ogres. Luckily, Ruven leapt into action, putting himself between her and the danger. Then Jurgen and Boona were there to help as well. The halfling felt a surge of gratitude toward her friends. She unsheathes her blades and sinks them deep into the undead ogre that Ruven is engaging.
Shortsword - Attack: 10 Damage: 5
Dagger - Attack: 12 Damage: 2
Sneak Attack - 10
(Dagger rolled with advantage in case Shortsword attack hits, due to Vex.)
